HAPPY EASTER /VERY SPECIAL LOG |
|
Saturday, April 19 2025
 Happy Easter to anyone here!
It was not a reason to repost the message but after a request I post the message with some editing and updates: Ron’s short audio clip on the end of thiS mEsage shows the abridged part of the story of Jesus before going to Jerusalem As noted in the New Testament this is the scene Jesus was isolated for some time asking his Father why He must die. The song heard is a lament for his death and suffering for all this time. This production seems to be made on 60s or 70s based of the actor voices I hear. I can suppose this was made for or by ERT. Signal -100dbm to-80 in H.Valley Symban is still on air 0853z with the story continuing, pointing that time after Pilate had given Him to the Jude’s jury and jumping to the hit by a group of crazy or drunken Romans (the scene with the crown of thorns for anyone who knows) At the time of writing 1121z Symban still on air with liturgy from a local church before the resurrection held exactly on local midnight. The same time the Greek national TV shows the process of touch of the Holy Light directly from the Church in Jerusalem. Ti will be then distributed to all Greece East Europe and possibly to W Europe? until this night. https://app.box.com/s/mzwv41obrh3radt2c48ttebgwwrxnoi6 ; some pics from this spacial occasion AUSTRALIA. 2368.4, Radio Symban, 0755+ UT, April 19, via Kiwi SDR remote at Sydney. Greek drama! My five minute remote audio – https://app.box.com/s/cq9h661lrifj3b46uf9i35x2ilq9nbn4 . 2368.4 Symban radio is back ? with Greek liturgy or justr psalms the life in the grave ‘ on 0830 today one of the best hymns of the holy week and esp for the Great Friday ,it is sung the time the body of Jesus is left from the cross -100dbm Liangas 18/4 Zacharias Liangas _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

** BRAZIL. 11780, Apr 18 at 0150, token English segment from RNB/RNA already underway, still interviewing that woman from Belém, Pará. VG via local `Brasila` SDR. 0154 into Spanish voiceover of same, specified as Part 4. I think they need a bit more time and a lot more variety in subject matter (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** GERMANY. 6070, Apr 18 at 1700+, Uncle Bill`s Melting Pot via Ch 292, featuring music from Lesotho. S9/+10 into UTwente. His voice announcements seem somewhat muffled. Repeats at 2100 on 3955, Sun Apr 20 at 17 on 9670 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MEXICO. 1549.81, Apr 18 at 0601, JBA carrier hetting 1550 stations still detectable despite considerable storm and line noise, presumed XEREL Morelia, Mich. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SAUDI ARABIA. 11935.000-, Apr 18 at 1624, Rep. of Yemen Radio via Riyadh on near-exact frequency for a change, as Wolfgang Bueschel pointed out, after longtime circa 11934.9. Must have changed transmitters. Now UTwente shows 11934.999.3 varying to 11934.999.6, close enough. ACI from stronger English on 11940, which is CRI via Kashgar, East Turkistan, this hour only, std denunciation (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SWITZERLAND [non]. 17555, Apr 18 at 1606, a C.M. Obrecht music special via Woofferton UK to S Asia, S9+5/20 into Kuwait after hearing nothing but noise at the two SDRs in India. He speaks in German, some English, also YL voice in French; promotes some meeting on 17 May of the R. Taiwan International Listeners Club (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2291 monitoring: confirmed first SWBC, Friday April 18 at 1300 on WRMI 15770, S5/S7. Also confirmed Friday April 18 at 2030 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1322.996-, S9 but noisy into UTwente across Europe. Also confirmed Friday April 18 at 2030 on WRMI webcast only. Next: 2200 UT Friday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast]; 2230 UT Friday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 0300 UT Saturday WTWW 5085 [irregular]; 0930 UT Saturday WRMI 9455 to WNW [has been off air; or 7730]; 1430 UT Saturday SW Radio, Germany 6160; 1730 UT Saturday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160; 1930vUT Saturday WA0RCR 1860-AM [1900/2100]; 2300 UT Saturday WTWW 9475 [suspended]; 0230vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315; as late as 0400]; 1030 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast]; 1900 UT Sunday IRRS 1323-Italy; 2130 UT Sunday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160; 2330 UT Sunday WRMI 7780 to SW; 9455 to NW; or 7570?; 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW; 0830 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 6160; 1930 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160; 0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW; 1300 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast]; 1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast]; 2000 UT Tuesday IRRS 1323-Italy; 2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160; 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW; 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 6160. Financial support appreciated for our non-commercial public service program: thanks for a generous contribution via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com from Peter Robinson, Preston, UK. One may also contribute by MO or check in US$ on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7505, Apr 18 at 0608, undermodulated English, S9+35/40 as WRNO is not only active again but running late into night (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 750, Apr 18 at 0518 UT, Spanish gospel music from KMMJ, Grand Island NE, with WSB mutually nullable at right angles. Again, KMMJ is NOT authorized to broadcast at night; but WSB could care less, as it`s now an FM station tail wagging the dog of outdated AM. Is there still an FCC monitoring station in Grand Island? I vaguely recall visiting it many years ago (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VATICAN. 15595, Apr 18 at 0617, ME language at S5/S8, the SSOB. VR is scheduled in Arabic at 0610-0630 daily except Sundays, but this did not sound like regular Arabic. Since it`s ``Good`` Friday, there may be schedule variations. Standard remarx about howcome this service to ME make it backwards so well to NAm (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 860, Apr 18 at 0645 UT, plug local news on --- and 92.5 FM, WSOM. I`m not finding any matches, even fuzzy trying F and N instead of S and M in various combinations. However radio-locator leads to WSON, Henderson KY, on 860 and 96.5, https://wsonradio.com/ Could be that. Not unusual to hear otherstuff at night besides KKOW, such as French from CJBC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 2037 UT April 18 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

SAUDI ARABIA surprise, surprise, 11935 kHz EVEN FREQUENCYsince many months for the first time Yemen excile radio from Saudi Arabia seemingly now back via Riyadh bcast center, or even used a special TX unit which is now EXACT frequency aligned ? 11810.009 kHz at 12.38 UT. 73 wolfie df5sx wwdxc topnews SAUDI ARABIA 11935 kHz Republic of Yemen Radio, 1800 UT on 7 April. Tune-in to news and reports in Arabic, ended at 1827UT with presumed ID mentioning "Yemeniyah" and a series of announcements. Followed the broad- cast on thisparticular day for the next 90 minutes or so with a mix of programming - consisting of short talks, a discussion, musical interludes, phone-in (withlight-hearted chat and laughing), short play, some a capella singing; filler-type tune at times, an Islamic-related address by a female mentioning "Muhammed", a couple of patriotic-sounding songs; lots of mentions of Yemen atone time or another. Went abruptly off mid-sentence at 2058 UT (and on 8th - off at 2058 UT; 9th - off at 2058 UT; 10th - off at 2101 UT; 11th - off at 2057 UT. Buzz- ing noticeable on some days, which disappears when the audio goes off). Fair to good. (Tony Rogers-Birmingham-UK; NASWA Electronic Flashsheet #1199 April 13) INDIA/BHARAT 9620 kHz Akashvani External Services, Bengaluru, at 1925 UT on 12 April. Arabic service in progress until 1930 UT, then switched to what appeared to be news in Hindi for a few seconds before the IS kicked in at 1931 UT and opening announcements in French at 1932 UT. This service in French also included the regular "Spotlight" segment in English at 2000-2015 featuring a discussion & " key outcomes from President" Portugal and Slovakia visits; (this programme matched the latest edition of "Spot- light" available on the Akashvani app). Good. (Tony Rogers-Birmingham-UK; NASWA Electronic Flashsheet #1199 April 13) 9860 kHz Akashvani (Bengaluru-Doddaballapur bcast center site), 0100 UT, on Apr 9. Sindi lang section. IS before ToH heard. Break in transmission at 0100:40 with return at 0101:20 UT. Fair to poor. (Tony Pavick-BC-CAN, via NASWA Electronic Flashsheet #1199 April 13) 9860 kHz All India Radio / Akashvani External Services, 0115z, Apr 12, in listed Sinhalese targeting ITU zone 41NW (India plus Pakistan). 250 kW at 325 degr azimuth. Sinhalese is the primary language of Sri Lanka so I'm not certain why they are aiming NW rather than SE. Is there a significant Sinhalese diaspora in India and Pakistan ? {rather Sinhalese national working as foreign workers though on Saudi peninsula / UAE, Kuwait and on Israel agriculture fields too ? - probably, ed.} Off at 0130 UT. A glance at the day / night map appears to show an all daylight path but I think the signal must be enhanced by the gray line since the reception is better than I usually get from India. My local sun- set is at 0054z. (Jerry Lenamon-TX-USA, via NASWA Electronic Flashsheet #1199 April 13) 11810 kHz AIR Pashto Service via Bengaluru, April 8, usual good signal at 1235 UT with mellow, entrancing subcontinental mx. This is a reliable fqy for daily SWLing . . . (Ralph Perry, Wheaton-IL-USA, NASWA Electronic Flashsheet #1199 April 13) -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- From: Glenn Hauser via Hard-Core-DX

5890, Thu Apr 17 at 0553, WWCR is on again with gospel huxter, but unseems // 5850 TOMBS on WRMI; also 5980 leapfrog mix with 5935. Neither // 7570 WRMI (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 750, April 17, at 0600, WSB IDing as 95.5 only, bong and CBS news: still strixe me as strange, as WSB AM & TV were originally NBC; NRC AM Log shows not only CBS but also Fox. Then I null it and listen for KMMJ, q.v. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 750, April 17 at 0541 UT, no sign of Spanish into DX398 positioned to null WSB like last night, no KMMJ after-hours. BUT at 0601 recheck, now it *is* on with full Englishish ID for KMMJ, MyBridge, 104.7, 750 and several more FM/translators than we knew about, and into praise song in Spanish. So did it just start at 0600, 1 am local? Need also to check earlier in evening post-sunset. WTFDA FM DB searching on Slogan MY BRIDGE gets 19 hits, all in Nebraska, but only two specified as relays of KMMJ 750 or KMMJ-750: K260AF 99.9 Kearney; and K282BR, 104.3 Grand Island, which are also the only two specified as Spanish lang. Formats for some are Contemporary Christian, presumably meaning music; others Religious Teaching, i.e. mainly talk (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2291) ** U S A. 1220 kHz, April 17 at 0616 UT, ESPN Radio - only one in NRC AM Log is KGIR, Cape Girardeau MO, U1 250/137 watts. Also likely by proximity (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 900, April 17 at 0607 UT, tent. mention of Farmington and 93.3 -- but no matchups in NRC AM Log or WTFDA FM DB. The main Farmington is in NM, but there are a few others. Maybe I misheard both clews, instead of Fulton, 95.3, as in KFAL Missouri with proximity (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0144 UT April 18 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/
