Glenn Hauser logs July 2-3, 2021  View Printable Version
Saturday, July 03 2021

Logs
** CHINA. 15800, July 2 at 1326, algo JBA in Chinese? Yes, must be
CNR1 jammer, per Aoki, only this and SOH here. Besides a JBA carrier
on 13530, nothing else smacking of WOOB jammers now (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA. 13629 approx., July 2 at 1320, weak spurblob with telltale
tone of F#, out of 13700-AM which is S9+10 and undermodulated. Cannot
detect a twin circa 13771. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** GERMANY. 9670, July 2 from 2301 tune-in via Maryland SDR, Texas R
Shortwave test for N America via Channel 292 with beam antenna, as
Terry Colgan reminded us was imminent: Fair reception S6-S8, carrier
fluxuating plus/minus 7 Hz; QRM from 9665.157 presumably Brasil. I
also try the Warrenton MO SDR and find it`s JBA. Direct to me, JBA
carrier in S9 high line noise level --- I`ve complained again to
OG&E.

Back to Maryland for rest of hour, soul or blues music by female
performer; can`t understand the lyrix but nice beat and tunes. Also
hard to understand occasional synthom announcements at 2315, 2329,
offering QSL and inviting requests for future programs. Next titles
Down the Road? and Alligator Man? At 2400 to ``This is Radio Channel
292`` and other music continues a while (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA [and non]. Nearby ND beacon check July 2 at 1323 UT, JBA
in HNL: 515 PN PoNca City; 341 EI EnId; 332 IC wIChita KS (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2093 monitoring: confirmed Friday
July 2 at 2033 the 2030 on IRRS via Italia-AM Villa Estense, 918 kHz,
S9+25 into nearby Noale SDR, but some breakup, hope not on the feed or
transmission. Then check UTwente where also audible across Europe and
not breaking up, but underneath CCI in Castilian from R. Inter, Spain,
20 kW, which was reactivated since WRTH 2021 where it was inactive;
adding up to S9+25. Next:

Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary
support: no new thanks this week for a MO or check in US funds
on a US bank, to: Glenn Hauser, Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA

One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds,
to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9330, July 2 at 2020, WBCQ WLCR still AWOL (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A. (7489.9v), July 3 at 0000, WBCQ webcast of `AAAWWW`, WTO,
and Allan starts out saying he is ``extremely sexually satisfied``.
Angela pretends? to shush him looking for mute button but there is
none. This sounds familiar; guess they have sex before every show as
warmup. They are so in love! From Deland of Fla where it was 100
degrees.

What`s wrong with Canada? Way behind in vax and opening up. Usual
rants equating Democrats with Communists; beware of flash mobs robbing
CVS --- not today when I was in Enid`s. 0032 datestamp as 28th of May,
YOOL 2021: this is a RERUN! I heard it before but same kind of stuff
every week so I didn`t realize that immediately. So I stop listening.
You may see my and John`s report of then in my log report of May 29
UT. John Carver agrees it`s from May and does not re-report it.

Earlier I had checked if there were any new twits, and yes, from
today, he predicted would be on 7490, 6160 AND 3265, which has been
AWOL for months. Indeed 3265 is audible in Maryland with lots of noise
--- great band for summer! But it`s other programming, probably TOMBS,
but I don`t care enough to seek a parallelish. N.B. Anker Petersen who
in ``tropical`` surveys had 3265 as a goner (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Glenn Hauser logs June 30-July 1-2, 2021  View Printable Version
Saturday, July 03 2021

Logs
** CANADA [non]. 7488.871, July 2 at 0200, ``Canada D`Eh`` special by
Uncle Bill and Fred Waterer on WBCQ, a fun show of comedy and tunes; I
listen first on the `7490` webcast but it craps out at 0217 so I
hasten to Area 51 webcast, but it`s some other music! The special was
supposed to be on both 7490 & 6160. Then I bring up the Maryland SDR
to find that 6160 is not even on the air, but it`s getting 7490. A few
minutes later I can go back to the 7490 webcast (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA. 6060, July 1 at 0546, RHC in Spanish instead of English and
no humbuzz! So that`s what it takes. What else? 6000 & 6165 are good
in English; 6100 is off; and 5040 is also in Spanish. Something`s
always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11462, Thu July 1 at 0550, S9/+10 of open carrier. Looks like
I just missed a spy transmission, per EiBi at 0454-0550 on days 246 =
TueThuSat (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 13705, July 1 at 1422, no VOA beepery today, unlike the last
biday before 1500 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2092 monitoring: confirmed UT Thu
July 1 at 0130 on WRMI 5010, S9+10 off the back into Maryland SDR but
with some storm crashes; and a bit of reverb on the modulation, an
effect not usually heard on WOR and certainly not originally.

WORLD OF RADIO 2093 contents: Australia, Chile, China, Egypt, Ethiopia
non, Greece, (Japan), Kashmir non, Korea North and non, Korea South,
Madagascar, Myanmar, Netherlands, Oklahoma, Perú, Romania, Sweden,

First broadcasts confirmed UT Friday July 2 at 0130 on WRMIs direct:
7780 S9/+10 and 5850 S9+30 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9330, various chex June 30, July 1 at 1420 & 1707 and early
UT July 2 at 0128 find no signals from WBCQ SuperStation. Wonder
what`s wrong now? Meanwhile, Benn Kobb has unearthed some buried but
public documents from the FCC website about the delay in approving
WBCQ purchase of WHRI; Allan`s sister Barbara objects, saying he is
``fronting`` for that Egyptian billionaire behind World`s Last Chance
Radio, who of course could not own US radio stations outright. His
name is redacted but obviously Galal P. Doss (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15745-USB, July 1 at 1608, rough tone transmission with
multiple carrier peaks, a different sound than usual from the lower
half of the WINB hybrid DRM on ``15750``. Maybe that means it is just
idling rather than crypto stocktrading info. Off by 1706 check (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 11835, July 1 at 0611, no signal from R Vanuatu, nor was
any detectable a few minutes before 0559 on 7260. Ron Howard agrees:

``Radio Vanuatu. Recently had been silent for about three days, then
back on for a few days, but checking July 1, from 0530+ UT, till past
0845, on all the normal RV frequencies, found them clearly off the air
today. Cuba (5040) went off at 0659*. RV certainly has been erratic
recently, with technical difficulties? Ron California`` (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)
