Logs
My best AM log ever: 7ZR 936kHz Hobart, Tasmania 8000 miles/13,000km away
from McGrath, Alaska. 10KW/2 tower pattern, protecting a 936kHz in New
Zealand. It's the only "ABC Local Radio" formatted station in the entire
country on 936kHz.

Heard on Wednesday March 24th. In my first clip, there's no mistaking those
time pips and ornamental monumental Top Of Hour fanfare for anyone else.
1400UTC/6AM AK time audio:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rmVXYj6tmkDfSqmXxg9NdcOGYOTMeDAG/view?usp=sharing

6 minutes later at 1406UTC/606AM AK Time, you hear a lady begin with the
weather mentioning a flood warning and a river and at 24 seconds you hear
Laura Beavis say, "ABC Radio Hobart" just to confirm if there was any doubt
what I heard(and there was no doubt. Audio:

Oops. Apparently the 606AM/1406UTC audio got up and disappeared. It’s back

Logs
** ANTARCTICA [and non]. 15475.98-CUSB, March 27 at 1535, LRA36 is on
for its Saturday repeat of Wednesday, as first heard via Brasília SDR
where I can ``camp`` tnx to another user in Salvador already tuned to
it; later when they quit I take it over myself.

Most or all of the other RXs are tuned to ham frequencies, primarily
``WSPR-autorun`` -- what`s that about, tying up so much bandwidth?
Weak Signal Propagation Reporter, ``whisper``:
https://hackaday.com/2021/03/25/the-50-ham-wspr-ing-around-the-world/
Tnx to Clara Listensprechen for that link.

LRA36 is only S2-S3 with music, then concluding program saying it will
repeat Saturday at 15 horas --- voilà, ou voici. By 1539 the Esperanza
song. 1542 ``sign-on`` again with LRA36 and Radio Nacional Arcángel
San Gabriel IDs, in Spanish, German, English, and Russian? Music, and
1549 the quadrilingual IDs again; mentions Día Mundial del Agua =
World Water Day; when is/was that? March 22: I am totally in favor of
H2O! I find it very useful, even essential, every day:
https://www.worldwaterday.org/
Then Esperanza/Antártida song, greeting from the 17th program =
décimosétimo. As was mentioned on miércoles.

By 1555, some ACI has arisen from Chinese music on 15480. Now I can
get on Pardinho SDR and listen to it directly. Traditional but
unsounds like Firedragon, rather typical end-of-hour filler. No
announcements until cut modulation and 1600* a few seconds later cut
carrier. Nothing to account for this, not even as jammer, in B-20 or
A-21 schedules. It`s already A-21 in China, after midnight? Not
really, 01 UT March 28 is the official start everywhere.

15475.98 at 1601, LRA36 is S5-S7 into Pardinho but by 1609 I notice
it`s gone (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. 15480 unscheduled: see ANTARCTICA [and non]

** CUBA. 15230, March 27 at 1505, S9/+10 of dead air, still on after
presumed nominal 1500*. 15140 is S9+10/20 somewhat undermodulated.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA [non]. 341-MCW kHz, March 27 at 0545 UT, Enid`s EI NDB is
silent again after brief reactivation yesterday. Now hearing only OIN,
Oberlin KS (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2079 monitoring: confirmed Saturday
March 27 at 1322, the 1300 on WRMI 15770, good S9+10 today instead of
JBA.

Also confirmed Sat Mar 27 at 1700 UT on WRN webcast, for one more
week; to become 1600 UT from next week with BST in effect. Next:

1930vUT Saturday  WA0RCR 1860-AM
2130 UT Saturday  WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE
2300 UT Saturday  WRMI 7780 to NE
0300vUT Sunday    WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315; as late as 0400]
1130 UT Sunday WRMI 15770?
[Wolfgang Bueschel alleges WOR is on at this time; please check]
2200vUT Sunday    WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW
2300 UT Sunday    WRMI 7780 to NE
0030 UT Monday    WRMI 7730 to WNW
0230 UT Monday    WRMI 7780 to NE, 5800 to SSE
1801vUT Monday    IRRS 7290 Bulgaria to WNW, 594-Italy [ex-1901]
1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW
2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
2200 UT Wednesday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE
0130 UT Thursday  WRMI 5010 to S

voluntary support: thanks this week to Kelley Sprout, Hughesville PA,

One may also contribute, not necessarily in US funds,
via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15825, 13845, 12160, 9980, March 27 at 1827, all four WWCR
frequencies are vacant. The top two may be JBA carriers in the
daytime, but the lower two should be audible if on. 12050 WEWN at
similar megameter distance is VG, having escaped tornado outbreak.
What`s wrong? Blitzortung shows lightning storm right over
mid-Tennessee, and a worse one along the TN/NC border. WWCR closed
down as precaution, or has it been stricken? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
