Gary DeBock's FSL Loop: AmazeBalls!  View Printable Version
Friday, November 20 2020

HCDX
Oh Em Gee, the results are phenomenal! Here are two examples, both were
recorded between 630pm and 730pm AK Time(1 hour behind pacific) in McGrath,
Alaska which is 230 miles northwest of Anchorage.

Listen to these clips and hear how they are nothing or mush at the
beginning .. and as they clear up and get real clear, thats me live tuning
the FSL loop as I'm recording. CHMJ 730 Vancouver:

Beacon VTR 350khz  View Printable Version

3rd harmonics of NDBs can be a real problem on the 160 meter amateur band
also.
Several have caused QRM (interference) to stations there, and had to be
shut down
temporarily for repair. The NDB transmitters are rather primitive affairs,
without much
attention paid in design to spurious or harmonic generation.

Incidentally, VTR is more likely mixing with the carrier of KFQD in
Anchorage on 750 kHz,
and producing output on 1050.
