From now and for an unknowntime, at least for 3 years, I will not use any radio except the remote SDRs forDXing. Recently we moved from the village back to the city in a space thatprohibits the use of desktop DXing, a place flooded by high levels of noise inthe LMHF bands. The radio is now used mostly for FM, for news listening.we runpolitically lively condition with always very interesting twits every day ..

Glenn Hauser logs November 13, 2024  View Printable Version
Thursday, November 14 2024

Logs
** BRAZIL. 11780, Nov 13 at 0750, music VP S3, presumably RNA, which
both Aoki and EiBi say starts at *0750, altho EiBi, not Aoki shows
Iran could also be on 11780 now (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** JAPAN. 13705, Nov 13 at 2305, NHK in listed Thai, S9+10 vs HNL, off
the back (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KOREA NORTH. 11680V, Nov 13 at 2309, song S9+10/20 but very
distorted and frequency wobbling. KCBS Pyongyang as on here 22 hours
per day. Something`s kooky at Kanggye (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MALI. 15125, Nov 13 at 1625, S5/S8 of ME music, listed as CRI
Arabic relay. One of few signals on band and by far the best beyond
USA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 9690, Wed Nov 13 at 2258, SNR not off the air, VG S9+20/30
direct and not yet // 12030 S9/+10. They do join at 2300 for English
when 17715 is also audible but nothing on 17755. Something`s not right
at Noblejas. Intro is about the flash flooding a biweek ago and the
blame game of which level of government failed with warnings in time.
Also interview with someone from Spain`s met agency about how climate
change is the cause, and bracing for more storms now in southern Spain
as well as Valencia. At 2323 check into UTwente, same 3 frequencies
only, about the 100th anniversary of broadcasting in Spain (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 5960, Nov 13 at 2257 and 2312 chex direct, NO signal from
VOT English, but a JBA carrier on 9610, so the 2130-2230 frequency
overruning? NO, at 2322 into UTwente, 5960 in Chinese only and 9610
not in English nor Chinese: that would be Mongolian on CNR8 from
Beijing site. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glelnn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U K [non]. 11645, Nov 13 at 2307 ``HARDtalk`` discussion in English
about a film by a British woman of Palestinian heritage, S9+10/20, as
in Alan Roe`s sked M/W/F via Tinang, PHILIPPINES. One of our best
chances to listen to BBCWS, during this hour only, per HFCC 250 kW at
200 degrees, so close to directly off the back USward (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2268 monitoring: ``From: Richard
Lemke, St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, the desk of Richard’s listening
Post, Radio: JRC NRD-535 HF, Antenna: random long wires in the trees,
Hello Glenn: WRMI, World of Radio #2268, 9395 kHz, 0030, 0045, 0058
(55433-4), 0059, November 13 UTC 2024 [Wed] (Lemke, Richard -AB)``

Confirmed UT Wednesday November 13 at 0030 on WRMI 9395, S9+25/35 into
Georgia SDR but NO signal into UTwente.

Also confirmed UT Wednesday November 13 from 0030.5 on SW Radio,
Germany, 3975.003-, S7 into UTwente.

Also confirmed Wednesday November 13 from 2030.8 on SW Radio, Germany,
3975.002+, S9+5/10 into UTwente.

Also confirmed Wednesday November 13 at 2200 on WBCQ 7490 -48 Hz =
7489.952 into Maryland SDR correctly calibrated, so not as low as
usual, S9/+10. Next:

0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975.

As a noncommercial service, financial support welcome such as a
contribution via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to
woradio at yahoo.com

One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to:
Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. Re 9275 WMLK in AM not DRM, Nov 12 at 2304: ``As of late
they seem to be only doing a DRM 'hit' at roughly 2258 to 2300 UT on
9275. I haven't been able to coax any audio out of it, but have been
able to get a positive visual ID. My email to them two weeks ago has
gone unanswered. Apparently answering secular questions is not high on
their priority list. Not sure what the purpose of the DRM test they
are doing might be. Tony Pavick, Hope BC Canada``

And Wolfgang Bueschel replies: ``This DRM test decoding is -
supposedly - included in their Ampegon handling OPENING procedure on
their txion handling a personal computer procedure; similar as like an
opening start password necessity for. ed. df5sx password necessity
procedure failed 4 years too - on RTA Ampegon shortwave TX
installations at Bechar and Ou[a]rgla after 2018 year ... wb. ]``

15150 AM, Nov 13 at 1627, WMLK ID and DEJOM asserting that it`s not a
cult, in `Sacred Name Broadcast`, S9/+20 direct (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 7505, Nov 13 at 0742 UT, WRNO is on late, all-night? I
bandscan every nightmiddle and first time heard in months. S7/S8 in
presumed Hindi, but then pronouncing contact info in English, Fort
Worth 76101 postal address, and sounds like 7505abcd@gmail.com The
website http://wrnoworldwide.com/ now says ``Daily 8PM-8AM`` So is
this Tuesday or Wednesday? Sked on both days shows 12-3 AM music, with
Hindi only at 10-11 PM CST. Something`s fouled up at Fort Worth. Also
on disgraced FB, but would you believe the latest entry there was in
2020? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
