15370 is supposed to be in French; EiBi says English! except French on
Sundays; WRTH says French, daily, as does RHC`s own B-19 schedule.

also with parasite weak spur carrier on 11840, but not enough audio to
match, and probably another on 11860 vs residual jamming. Strange that
I have never found an RHC frequency in the morning with plus/minus 10
kHz spurs, tho one would expect same transmitter to be in use other

** IRELAND [non]. 7290, Tue Jan 14 at 1925, via UTwente SDR, IRRS with
much better signal than yesterday when WOR was JBA, but still not up
to par; about the Bushes involved in Iraq wars, clips of them
accompanied by banjo music; what program is this? 1934 check, now in
`Wavescan` as scheduled. Good but with ACI from 7295 CRI East
Turkistan. As it`s closing by 2000, sandwiched between CRIs on both
sides (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO [and non]. 710, Jan 14 at 0707, Mexican NA is playing until
0708 when no Spanish talk heard other than Rebelde Cuba peaking from
another angle; this being from WSW, which fits for the only NW Mexican
outlet, XEDP, Ciudad Cuauhtémoc, Chihua2 at local midnite, often heard
here despite listed night power of 100 watts vs day power 7000. IRCA
Log also shows it as 24 hours, and mentions it being off-frequency,
which was only part-time, and not heard askew here now or recently.
Considerable CCI too from English, likely Amarillo and KCMO, and
persistent 711 TA carrier het, prime suspect being 300 kW Morocco
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** PERU. 5980, Jan 14 at 2352, JBA carrier from R. Chaski under Cuban
jamming against nothing else; until autocutoff at 2353:49*. Last check
was January 11 at 2353:55.5*, 6.5 seconds later, 3 days earlier,
averaging <2.2 seconds earlier, per (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SUDAN SOUTH [non]. 15400, Tue Jan 14 at 1546, poor signal with
flutter, seems like English but very heavy accent I cannot lock onto.
It`s Radio Tamazuj, 250 kW, 150 degrees via VATICAN, mainly in Juba
Arabic per Observer, but which does have 10 minutes of English on
Tuesdays & Thursdays sometime during the 15-16 UT hour, per WRTH 2020
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 5960, Jan 14 at 2332 check, VOT English to N America is
AWOL yet again (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non}. 1090, Jan 14 at 0702 UT, KAAY Little Rock AR in
dead air again, until 0705 gospel music starts in nominal format.
Meanwhile, I hear the 1 kHz het from 1089 UK Talksport headed by a 400
kW with several synchros almost doubling that (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 5915, Jan 14 at 2333, VP signal, maybe in French? But
CRI English via Kashgar to S Asia is registered; other possibilities
at this hour per EiBi, Zambia if all-night, and Myanmar, which would
not be in French either. Myanmarianese is rather distinctive (Glenn

Christian Soldiers`` warmongering hymn as if it were crusading WHRI
--- fill music instead of RAE AAM relay in Spanish as scheduled from
0100. A new Monday program must have been produced but fails to make
it to air for unknown reason. One thing I know: the file name must be
exactly correct and in the proper System for the automation to put it

** MADAGASCAR [non]. In last report I meant to say B-19 rather than
A-19, fixed: HFCC B-19 has a wooden registration for EKAla, Sri Lanka
at 0100-0430 with 10 kW at 350 degrees across India on 6005 --- but
that site is long gone for YEARS! and indeed no longer mentioned in
the WRTH 2020 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 88.3, Jan 13 at 2002 UT, K202BY, Family Radio satellator
in Enid is still OFF, fortunately not cutting on QRM in the 88.0v area
either at the moment, allowing thru traces of KOSR Stillwater.

But a change of source is in the offing, per Doug Smith`s FCC info Jan
3 in the WTFDA Forum:

``OKLA Enid 88.3 K202BY XR 250w-V/80m, 36-23-57/97-52-48 (KJIL-99.1
Copeland, Kans. via satellite)``

KJIL is another gospel huxter closer-in with 25 relayers in OK, KS, CO
and even TX --- 22 of them translators, not including this one, per
WTFDA FM Database. I wonder if KJIL know that K202BY need heavy
repairs or replacement.

FCC FM Query still shows it owned by Family Radio, but also with a
recent Consummation Notice about transfer to --someoone--, no mention
of KJIL, as of Dec 17, 2019:

Monday January 13 at 1919 the 1901 on IRRS 7290 via Romania(?) as
checked via UTwente SDR --- at first it seemed totally off rather than
usual bigsig, but tuning a step down in USB, carrier detected -- then
narrowing BW, synch, can barely recognize my intonation, but totally
unreadable. What changed, just propagation? Usual huge splash from CRI
East Turkistan 7295 unabated.

** ARGENTINA [non]. 5800, UT Mon Jan 13 at 0137 via WRMI, RAE Spanish
relay during DX program, recognized as same I was hearing 48 hours
earlier on UT Sat, about Bolivian and Peruvian non-SW stations. Seems
a regular repeat pattern. Several minutes before 0200 both nights,
gospel songs in English were playing, evidently filling out after a
RAE relay which is only 54 minutes long (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MADAGASCAR. 6005, Jan 13 at 0330, carrier at S9+10 and some
undermodulated talk, 0333 song. Presume to be new frequency for R.
Tamazuj, ex-6015. Rocus De Joode, frequency manager of MGLOB relay
station, told us Jan 12 he was about to move away from Zanzibar`s
frequency which also starts at 0330, following a discussion about this
collision among WOR iog members Ron Howard, Wolfgang Bueschel, Tibor
Gaal, and Bill Bingham:

``Hello and Greetings from Madagascar, I noted underneath
correspondence. I was aware of the interference. So I plan to use 6005
kHz (10 kHz away) from tomorrow morning and see if this improves the
situation. According to band scans this should be a clear channel
between 0330 and 0430 UTC in the horn of Africa.

I want to note that my reason to use 6015 kHz was to stay close to
6020 kHz, which I used in the B18 season. However, since Tamazuj
extended with half an hour extra starting A19, I could not use this
anymore because or RRI from 0400 UTC onwards. And at the start of the
B19 season 6015 kHz was free to use with DOL [Zanzibar] with 50 kW in
Swahili reported to be off air.

Considering the extreme low SSN I even consider to swap 6015 kHz and
7315 kHz between MDC and ISS. Not decided yet. 73’s de Rocus @ MDC``

Wolfgang Bueschel and Bill Bingham agree about the two frequencies
now. HFCC A-19 has a wooden registration for EKAla, Sri Lanka at
0100-0430 with 10 kW at 350 degrees across India on 6005 --- but that
site is long gone for YEARS! and indeed no longer mentioned in the
WRTH 2020. BBC ASCENSION is on 6005 only at 0500-0700. Now the 6005
signal also has splatter from 6000 Cuba, despite that being

undermodulated, presumably ZBC finally clear of Tamazuj-via-Madagascar
collision; as following a discussion among WOR group members, MGLOB
has just moved its 0330-0430 broadcast down to 6005; see MADAGASCAR.
Ron Howard had originally observed that on 6015, not only were
Zanzibar and Madagascar mixing but also PBS Xinjiang, Urumqi in Kazakh
// 4850 until its 0345*. At 0430 Jan 13 I have a JBA carrier alone on
