** BIAFRA [non]. 11530, Nov 20 at 1904, R. Biafra Broadcasting from London, good via WRMI, with a prayer in presumed Igbo language, ends with ``amen``. But there was a problem, as I wrote Jeff White later:

``Hi Jeff, I listened to the early part of Radio Biafra today after 19 UT on 11530. FYI there was an irregular ``chuffing`` sound averaging about 2 times per second. This was heard first on my car radio, but not heard on other frequencies, and also heard on this frequency when I checked on a portable radio outside the car (11580 and 11825 were not doing it). So apparently a problem with the 11530 transmitter; which XMTR # is it, by the way? Still does not show on your schedule grid for either transmission. 73, Glenn`` (No reply.)

A quick check at 1900 UT Nov 21 finds 11530 OK without the chuffing.
But I`m busy recording WORLD OF RADIO Tuesday afternoon, so later I find Biafra show on a WRMI server, under a different name, and listen to the opening via that. Now there appears to be a regular invocation a few minutes after start, in Igbo, guy mentioning Jehova, Jesus Christ, and concluding with Amen. Apparently Biafran = Christian, or else. Then the now-head of IPOB endorses in English the Anambra State elexion Nov 18, which he concludes was legitimate (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** BOTSWANA. 4930, Nov 22 at 0005, JBA carrier, also at 0220, presumed VOA African service relay in English. After my previous report of that Nov 19 around 0230, ahead of normal *0300, Ron Howard suggested that VOA could have expanded to 24 hours due to the crisis in Zimbabwe. Wolfgang BÃschel agreed with a schedule of 23 or 24 hours on this frequency and also MW 909. That`s nice, but most VOA programming is disposable music filler, beyond news on the hour, as Mark Taylor, WI, NASWA Flashsheet was also hearing as early as 0205 as early as November 17.

If the crisis is now over with the resignation of Mugabe, perhaps VOA will contract again. But not yet. There are other changes/extensions, as Alan Roe, Teddington, England, UK, reported:

``USA. 21 November at 2000 UT - VoA is broadcasting a special programme concerning Zimbabwe in a local language on 6195 kHz via Botswana in place of usual African Beat English programming``
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1905, DX LISTTENING DIGEST)

** EAST TURKISTAN. 5060 & 4980 & 4850 & 4500, Nov 21 at 2357, JBA carriers, surely the four different language services of PBS Xinjiang, Urumqi, grayline. There are several other JBA carriers on 60m matching Tibetan, Indian or Chinese stations, but this quartet all add up to nothing but Xinjiang (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** PERU [and non]. 5980, Nov 21 at 2251, JBA carrier, which is probably Radio Chaski during its hour in the clear; overcome at *2257 by much stronger AM carrier from Romania, this time switching to contrary-to-schedule DRM noise after a few seconds, rather than waiting until 2300 or later. Can no longer make out Chaski carrier underneath it (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** TURKEY. 5960, Nov 21 at 2300, VOT English to North America is poor-fair but I can tell that the clueless announcer (or his recording) is still announcing A-17 times and frequencies for English, all of which are now wrong in B-17 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1904 monitoring: Not confirmed UT Tue Nov 21 at 0030 on WBCQ 9330v-CUSB: no signal (meanwhile 7490 is OK, nothing on 5130 or 3265; 9395 WRMI is fair). But confirmed UT Tue Nov 21 at 0030 on WRMI 7730, VG. Also confirmed Tue Nov 21 at 2030 on WRMI 11580 better than // 9455 better than // 7780.

[and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1905 contents: Afghanistan non, Armenia, Bahrain, Biafra non, Botswana, Brazil, Cambodia and non, Chile and non, Cuba, Cyprus non, Eritrea and non, Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, North America, Oman, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russia and non, Solomon Islands, Somaliland and non, Sri Lanka, USA, Zimbabwe, unidentified; and the propagation outlook

WORLD OF RADIO 1905 monitoring: confirmed first airing completed just a few minutes earlier, Tuesday November 21 at 2130 on WRMI, 9455, good. Trying to confirm next chance, UT Wednesday November 22 at 0030 on WBCQ, 9330v-CUSB: first on the R75, I only get a JBA carrier on about 9328.19, as I have before, but apparently this is from a local device, to which this radio is closest. At 0032 on the PL-880 on the porch, I can recognize me JBA about 9329.9. Then at 0035 on the NRD545 I can also hear me about 9329.99, but not well enough to recognize whether it`s new #1905, but probably. So WBCQ is transmitting, just extremely weakly, still such a trace at 0048. Meanwhile neighbors are much better: 9395 WRMIBS at S9+20; 9370 WWRBS at S9+25; even 9265 WINB is S9. And the other WBCQ, 7489.95, is S8. Next:

** U S A. 5830, Nov 21 at 0716, no signal from WTWW-1, but a very poor carrier on 9475, probably this, forsaken by Ted on its day frequency all night.

BTW, neighborhood continuous line noise has erupted, reaching S9 around 5.8 MHz. And no one even has Xmas decorations up yet, that I can see (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 7520, Nov 22 at 0047, no signal from WWCR-4 scheduled here at 0000-0200, after 9980, and before 6115. The other three are found on 5935, 6115 (not yet on 4 or 3 MHz), and surprisingly well with DGS on 13845, which must be getting a sporadic-E boost. Tnx to a tip from Peter W Hansen, FL, at 0225 UT Nov 21, to the DXLD yg: ``Last night WWCR-4 was not on 6115; tonight it has not been on 7520, 6115 or 5890``

Also the next night, Nov 22 at 0205, 6115 is not on altho had logged it some nights before, after the swap from WWCR-1 to WWCR-4 at 0200 for one more hour. So it appears #4 is out of order (or it has suddenly lost a lot of business). The entire website schedule for it, in case its other frequencies also lack:

Transmitter #4 - 100 KW - 90 Degrees
12:00 AM-07:00 AM 0600-1300 5890
07:00 AM-06:00 PM 1300-0000 9980
06:00 PM-08:00 PM 0000-0200 7520
08:00 PM-09:00 PM 0200-0300 6115
09:00 PM-12:00 AM 0300-0600 5890

6295, Nov 22 at 2302, JBA carrier. I`m looking for a leapfrog mixing product from WWCR, since when they run two transmitters on the same band, like 5890 and 5935 later at night, they do constantly leapfrog, in that case to a mixture on 5980 (and fighting Radio Martà after 0700, and Cuban jamming even earlier. WWCR is axually contributing to this ``jamming``). In this case, 5935 would leap over 6115, another 180 kHz higher. Suspect it is WWCR on 6295, more likely here than a Europirate (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** ARGENTINA [non]. 11580, Monday Nov 20 at 1436, RAE via WRMI is in Japanese! Wrong playback? No, it`s just a clip of NHK TV`s 8K service, presumably amid the `Friday` DX Actuality program in Spanish repeated (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** BIAFRA [non]. 9580, Nov 19 at 1909, R. Biafra via unknown site, after a JBA carrier here, I get a little more via UTwente SDR. Main frequency 11530 WRMI is good as usual on my radio. 9580 is VP at UTwente, but sounds like same programming of music alternating with announcements by YL; at 1911 it`s the OM, the only one who mentions the ``31 meter band`` 9580 in schedule announcements. 1913 back to YL voice. On UTwente, I A/B the two frequencies, and believe it or not, poor as it is, 9580 is better than 11530 (and 11580, WRMI aimed right at Europe is no better). I`ve asked Jeff where 9580 is coming from. There is no sign of anything else, such as listed Saudi Arabians. Possibly 9580 is still Issoudun, but skipping over UTwente, too close and way offbeam. But if so, Ivo should be getting it OK. Wolfgang Bueschel, Germany does not hear 9580 at all.

Ivo Ivanov reports on same transmission:
``Poor signal of Radio Biafra London in 31 & 25 mb on Nov 19
http://swldxbulgaria.blogspot.bg/2017/11/poor-signal-of-radio-biafra-london-in.html
1900-2000 9580 unknown tx / unknown WeAf English, not via TDF/ISS
1900-2000 11530 YFR 100 kW / 087 deg WeAf English, via WRMI tx#10?``

Meanwhile, Rafael RodrÃguez in Colombia found a website with news about this reactivation:

``Radio Biafra Returns; Resumes Daily Broadcast
By David Oputah - November 11, 2017

BEVERLY HILLS, November 11, (THEWILL) â After a lull of a few months, during which Nigerian security agencies breathed an air of relief, there are incontrovertible indications that the clandestine Radio Biafra will resume activities Sunday November [sic].

The rogue radio station is the mouth piece of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) led by Nnamdi Kanu whose whereabouts is unknown following a clamp down on his family home in Abia state by the military under operation Python Dance.

THEWILL gathered exclusively that the radio will continue to broadcast from London, England, ostensibly to escape the reach of Nigeriaâs security agencies who will track it down without much effort if it was based in Nigeria.

The information circulating within the IBOP circle recently has pointed to the feverish plans and concerted efforts to reactivate the Radio Biafra and make its voice heard again to prove that the despite the security agenciesâ show of strength recently during the Operation Python Dance and the like, that IPOB is not as dead as it appears.

THEWILL checks further revealed that the broadcast will from Sunday be on air from 6 am to 7 am on 7240 KHZ, 41 meter-band, short wave and in the evenings from 8pm to 9pm on 11530 KHZ on 25 meter band.

``Radio Biafra Returns, Sacks Nnamdi Kanu As IPOB Leader
By THEWILL_ - November 12, 2017

SAN FRANCISCO, November 12, (THEWILL) â Security agencies were in a frenzy of activities in Abuja from early Sunday when Radio Biafra, the controversial mouthpiece of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) returned to the airwaves with a 6.am to 7.am broadcast announcing the shocking sack of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as IPOB leader.

That announcement sacking Kanu was exactly what kept the security agencies worried, because it could mean that another arm of IPOB may have mutated just as IPOB mutated from Raph Uwazuruikeâs Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB).

A top national security source told THEWILL thus: "All had been quiet on the IPOB front recently. The organization has been receding from the public consciousness as many Igbo people began to openly talk against the separation and disunity agenda of IPOB. The Federal Government has been reaching out to the South-East and their State Governors have taken a hard stand against IPOB accusing the organization of pursuing anti-Igbo interests; now comes this totally new and unexpected development".

At the height of the IPOB controversy the national unity was greatly tasked when Northern youths issued Igbo people resident in the North a quit notice.

The radioâs programme started with the lady announcer who gave her name as Ifeoma Okorafor, stating that the radio was back on air and IPOB was restructuring. She then announced that "Mazi Nnamdi Nwanekaenyi Kanu, the former Director of Radio Biafra is hereby dismissed and removed as Director of Radio Biafra following extensive and intensive consultations". She named "Mazi Ezenwachukwu Sampson Okwudili as Kanuâs replacement."

Kanu has not been seen publicly since he fled Abia State after the military raided his family compound some months back.

The reasons the Radio Biafra announcer gave for Kanuâs removal included:

(A) Personalization of the Biafran struggle and derailing from the core objectives of IPOB as a grassroots movement.

(B) Kanuâs actions and his decisions to incite members of IPOB towards violence leading to the death of many innocent young people in Onitsha, Aba and Umuahia is totally unacceptable and grossly irresponsible.

(C) Kanu privately collected Â14m and another $ 22m to purchase landed properties abroad in his name and that of his father Igwe Israel Kanu in a clear case of monkey dey work baboon dey chop. [! sic]

(D) Kanu turned our collective struggle into a money-making enterprise for himself and his father. Thus the monies contributed by enterprising and hard-working Igbo youths across the world are being collected and converted by one man and his father while pretending to be sacrificing for the cause.

(E) Upon his release from detention in April 2017, one expected Kanu to drum up support for the release of his colleagues and co-detainees such as Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi. These are our brothers who were arrested at the same time with him and they should not be forgotten. We hereby demand their release. Kanu, since his release, has never spoken about them or appealed for the release of these our freedom fighters. Instead, he has been going about collecting chieftaincy titles and having a messianic swagger that even allowed full-blooded Igbomen to kneel down and kiss his feet.

(F) Kanu threw away the original meaning of our collective struggle for personal gain and vain glorification. IPOB believes in democracy as a solid base of any modern state, the rule of law, and will always reject violence in all its ramifications.

The security agencies do not as yet know what to make of this new development in IPOB.

The sack of Mazi Kanu is only the latest change in the checkered history of Radio Biafra, which began as the mouthpiece of MASSOB. It later announced the sacking of MASSOB founder, Uwazuruike as its Director and MASSOB leader and replaced him with Uchenna Madu "in the task of chasing down and overcoming the enemies of Biafra" according to a statement signed by Uche Mefore as the radioâs Deputy Director.

Nnamdi Kanu himself would also distance himself and his deputy, Uche Mefor, when Radio Biafra began to broadcast from the US, after Nigeria jammed its signals from Britain.

Now, those behind this latest incarnation of Radio Biafra would obviously not have sought Kanuâs permission; it actually sacked him in its first broadcast. But the security agencies are not rejoicing because, as a source put it "the saying that the devil you know is better than the angel [sic] you do not know is particularly true in security circles. See it this way; Kanu had issued an order that the people of Anambra state should boycott the gubernatorial elections and people told him he was talking nonsense. That was the end of his moral authority. Now we have to return to the drawing board to learn about those behind this latest development. Itâs frustrating."

** BOTSWANA [and non]. 17700, Nov 20 at 1548, VP signal from algo, OOFSOB. EiBi shows it is VOA Hausa at 1500-1600 (Sat/Sun to 1530 only). Besides the bigsigs from Cuba and KVOH on 17730 & 17775, the only other carrier detectable on 16m at this time is JBA 17660, which would be Saudi in French (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** BRAZIL [and non]. 11780, Nov 19 at 2135, NO signal, not even a JBA carrier here, my first chance to check out this report a bit earlier from Manuel MÃndez, Lugo, Spain, Log in Lugo: ``BRAZIL, 11780, RÃdio Nacional da AmazÃnia, 2045-2101, 19-11, Portuguese, soccer, live matches. Very weak. 14321``.

Thus it may be back on a very irregular and low-power basis, to avoid losing license by a deadline sometime in December. Later chex into UT Nov 20 still find no RNA on 11780, nor on other frequency 6180 (but a JBA carrier there at 2257: Aoki shows that would be CRI Kunming between Chinese and Cantonese hours). (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA. FINALLY! I happen to be recording KFOR-27 at 1600 UT November 19 just after Preet the Mess, when they flash their translator ID card for a hefty 4 seconds, so I freeze-frame it and copy the details. I`ve also snapped a still photo of it:

Unfortunately it`s on cable feed cutting off the edges, so I have to look up the towns in W9Wi.com to be sure they are correct. That makes it easy to add the channel for each, and in many cases
[+ additional KFOR relays shown in each town, as LIC, CP or APP]:

K43KU-D SEILING [+ 19 , 47 , 19 , 43 , 47 ]
K31JQ-D WOODWARD [+ 38 , 38 ]
K20BR-D GAGE, etc. --- listed instead for substation KAUT with KFOR

K23IZ-D STRONG CITY*
K45JZ-D ELK CITY [+ 45 ]
K14MU-D WEATHERFORD

*``Strong City``? A negligible hamlet of 47, 2010 census, just NE of Cheyenne, not even in atlas index except the Rand McNally Large Scale, but it`s significant for weak TV translators! (Glenn Hauser, Enid, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA [non]. 7730 // 5850, both VG, Mon Nov 20 at 0712, James Branum on `Broad Spectrum Radio` via WRMI, talking about draft resistance in World War I, especially in Oklahoma, and the centennial of the Green Corn Rebellion with a song about it. E.g., see:
http://www.okhistory.org/publications/enc/entry.php?entry=GR022

This is a repeat of last week`s surprise monthly show, the first half of which I had not heard. Meanwhile James Branum explains that the next new BSR is to air during this hour on Dec 11 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

1131-1200 9485 GOH 001 kW / 230 deg to CeEu English Sun, weak/fair``

9330-CUSB, Nov 20 at 0030, NO signal detectable from WBCQ at WOR scheduled time. I`ve asked WBCQ again about the status of this and suggested that for winter propagation, 3265 should replace 9330.

Confirmed UT Monday Nov 20 starting at 0402 on Area 51 webcast; WBCQ 5129.832 has good S9+10 signal but not checked until 0436 during HRI. It appears Timtron`s tuning up this transmitter helped a lot!

WOR 1904 also confirmed UT Mon Nov 20 at 0436 on WRMI 9955, S9+10/20 so not necessary to check webcast. Next:

Tue 0030 WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW [maybe]

** U S A. 17775, Mon Nov 20 at 1508 tune-in, KVOH carrier cuts off immediately, back on, somewhat distorted modulation, leyendo una escritura, unstable carrier, S9+30 with some splatter when on (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** UZBEKISTAN. 7625, Nov 20 at 1419, JBA carrier. EiBi shows the only 7625 station anywhen is CMI Voice of Wilderness, for N Korea at 1330-1530 via Tashkent. CMI means Cornerstone Ministries International based in Tustin, California; WRTH 2017 files it in the COTB sexion, page 513 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 5030(-), Nov 20 at 1412, JBA carrier, a smidgin on the low side compared to 5025, even weaker than that remnant of Cuba. By this late hour, most Asians on 60m are almost gone, such as 4885, 4800. 5030 is intriguing, as current HFCC, Aoki and EiBi show nothing whatsoever on it at any time (Tonga reactivated? Hi hi. 1991 WRTH for 5030 had China, Malaysia, Tonga, and nearby Ecuador, PerÃ) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** YEMEN [non]. 11860, Nov 19 at 1529, Republic of Yemen Radio in Qur`an solo by OM (what else?), going on for some time, still at 1540. Was this for vespers? No, gaisma.com says sunset at Sana`a was an hour earlier, 1430 UT, and about the earliest it ever gets during the year. Good signal S9+10/S7, considerably weaker by 1600. And 11745 Al-Azm, another Sa`udi service for its military around Yemen, is much weaker at 1530 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

BTW, Gaisma.com has data for about 70 locations in Yemen, far more than for many other countries, proportionally. Glenn

Modulation is somewhat suptorted. 1600 switch to weekly Esperanto, and audio improves, especially during their opening song. Sked announced is still: 1600 on 11760, 2230 on 17730, and 0700 on 6000. Only the first one is still correct, the 2230 maybe 2330 or 0030? on 15730 which hesitates to propagate? But unconfirmed last week, and there could be a fourth broadcast as per some schedule versions; the 0700 UT Sunday is supposed to be delayed until 0800 because of another hour of English (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** NEWFOUNDLAND [and non]. 5616-USB, Nov 19 at 0708, Gander Radio in quick contacts with several aircraft, for testing selcalls or position reports: El Al 026, American 718, AirTrans 378; referring the last to contact next Santa Maria (Azores) on 5598, or 3016 secondary. Each craft also heard, but generally weaker. It seems each selcall is associated with a fonetik 4-letter ``callsign``. 5598-USB also active with ATC, selcall tones (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA. RF 39, Nov 19 at 1356 UT, NO SIGNAL from KWTV OKC. Every Sunday I bring it up to record `CBS Sunday Morning`, but I have to revert to cable for it. I scan the RF channels and find everything else OK, including eveb some tropo bringing in RF 42, KBZC-LD from OKC. Maybe KWTV absence has something to do with implementing its repack QSY to RF 25? Not there yet. They will certainly have to replace or modify the antenna, probably requiring some downtime. I leave a TV tuned to RF 39 and by 1505 UT notice that KWTV is back on. No courtesy announcement crawler ever seen about this on KWTV via cable (Glenn Hauser, Enid, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 5129.822, Nov 19 at 0701, S9+10 of dead air. Obviously it is WBCQ transmitter near offset earlier while modulating, perhaps testing. John Carver, mid-North-Indiana, sent this report on it at 0242: ``TimTron Worldwide live on 5130 at 0 hours. Said he was at the main studio in Monticello. Had come up today to tinker with 5130 transmitter and see if he could improve the signal. First hour was great. Signal was 20 over and loud and clear. During second hour of TimTron, signal went into the toilet, dropped to S7 and the noise came up over everything and made it impossible to copy. At 0155 signal started to fight its way up again and by 0205 was hitting S9 on the upswing. Lumpy Gravy was in progress by then. Signal still dipping below S9 at times but also surging up to 10 over at times and the audio is mostly over the noise now and so able to copy the program`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 1640, Nov 19 at 0659 UT, my local KZLS is broken up by almost as strong CCI from WTNI with ESPN, Biloxi MS, full ID also for W278CE on 103.5, and 1640thechamp.com Once again I strongly suspect WTNI is running 10 kW day power at night, while KZLS is on night power of 1 kW. This is without even nulling KZLS, but on the E-W longwire.

BTW, European and Downunder DXers hardly ever report hearing KZLS, but lots of WTNI and other US X-banders; perhaps because of its direxional NNW/SSE pattern to ``serve`` OKC as well as Enid (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** YEMEN [non]. 11860, Nov 19 at 1529, Republic of Yemen Radio in Qur`an solo by OM (what else?), going on for some time, still at 1540. Was this for vespers? No, gaisma.com says sunset at Sana`a was an hour earlier, 1430 UT, and about the latest it ever gets during the year. Good signal S9+10/S7, considerably weaker by 1600. And 11745 Al-Azm, another Sa`udi service for its military around Yemen, is much weaker at 1530 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** ALASKA [non]. 9600, Nov 19 at 0253, New Life Station is wrapping up English hour via MADAGASCAR with schedule: on 7370 at 08, 10 and 12; 7355 at 14 (which are really KNLS, the last one clashing with NZ); and 9600 at 02, 15560 at 03 which are really MWV; poor-fair, S4-S7. (The other English hours from MWV are African Pathways Radio, 11825 at 04, 17640 at 18 & 20) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** BOTSWANA. 4930, Nov 19 at 0228, music at S5-S7 where normally there is nothing. VOA should start at 0300, as confirmed by HFCC: ``4930 0300 0600 53,57 BOT 100 20 0 750 1234567 291017 240318 D 4930 Eng BOT IBB IBB 376`` At 0230 quick announcement by YL DJ, sounds like Hyper Heather, but presumably not Music Time in Africa. So why is BOT relay on this early? Even in easternmost Africa it`s before 6 am local. Of course, possibly it could be some other IBB site for this pre-hour (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** BOTSWANA. 9825, Nov 19 at 0251, S7-S4 open carrier; presumably IBB warming up for 0300-0330 Arabic, despite CRI Chinese via Kashgar scheduled until 0300 but inaudible here. As Aoki/NDXC clarifies, but not HFCC, it`s really the Hello Darfur service (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** BRAZIL. 6935.20-LSB, Nov 19 at 0217, JBA sounds Brazuguese; then cuts on and off a much stronger speaker surely in Brazuguese, a pirate net? Here is a similar log from Sept 27 in the HFU Peskie sexion:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,37617.0.html
In this entire board could also be found some like the unID 2-ways in Spanish INTRUDERS I have been catching (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CHILE. 6964.89, Nov 19 at 0214, JBA carrier with talk. No logs of it on HF Underground N American board.

How about Latin American pirates; were, but moved to Peskies, here:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,38239.0.html

Chris Smolinski in Maryland has been tracking this since October 26, and here`s one reply, from FFM: ``ÂReply #6 on: November 16, 2017, 0115 UTCÂ I've published some posts about they before, they are chileans form Coquimbo region in the north of Chile`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA [non]. 7340, Nov 19 at 0245, violin concerto, surely not RHC ---- no, this frequency is now Romania, // 5910. In fact, had almost overlooked the fact that 7340 has been totally deleted from the new RHC B-17 schedule in effect less than a week.

It was a surprise when Arnie activated an Habana 40-m frequency for the first time in A-17, contrary to his holier-than-thou stance about out-of-band broadcasting. Now he`s holier again since this is a fixed, not broadcast band, despite being dominated by many other broadcasters and not just yanquis. Considering how 11 and 9 MHz fade out at night, it could be quite useful (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** GUATEMALA. 4055, UT Sun Nov 19 at 0221, Radio Verdad with very familiar voices, my old colleagues at Radio Nederland, Jaime BÃguena y Alfonso Montealegre talking about the history of Philips Electronix, and them Marconi. Maybe from an old `Radio Enlace`, contained in a current DX program. Which has yet to appear on the RV program sked:
http://radioverdad.org/?q=programaci%C3%B3n

Showing at 0200-0230 GMT SÃbado - meaning UT Sunday, ``Club de la Amistad y FilatÃlico``. This page is  2009, and would not be surprised if never updated since. Now it`s `Antena DX` from PanamÃ:

``Radio Verdad 4055 SW en Guatemala - Los sÃbados a las 8:00 PM hora de Guatemala, Domingos 02:00 UTC www.radioverdad.org`` according to:
http://programasdx.com/antenadx.htm
which is also on WRMI and WBCQ (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6950.56, Nov 19 at 0242, pirate music, very poor. These for 6950.5 say it was Captain Morgan Shortwave until 0303*:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,38786.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6770, Nov 19 at 0241, very poor Old Time Radio pirate. Usually it`s a JBA carrier at best, but sometimes can sound like OTR, with audience applause, laughter; from some secret radio museum (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA. 3270.3v, Nov 19 at 0232, the NRD-545 has one of numerous weak birdies, distinct from real carriers since they are always very slowly varying up or down, sometimes crossing/QRMing real DX. I had started calling these NRDies, but they are really caused by the Wellbrook antenna, since they disappear if I switch to the longwire (even tho the WB is still active and connected to the radio). My apology for misblaming JRC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA [non]. Just heard from James Branum about `Broad Spectrum Radio` scheduling: for now it is monthly and the next set will be December 10-16 at the same times as in November (tho there could be some repeats Mon 07-08 on WRMI 5850, 7730) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** SOUTH CAROLINA [non]. 5850, Nov 19 at 0235, tuning across WRMIBS, The OvermoleStair`s current idÃe fixe is needing 45 kilobux by next Tuesday to pay for uplinx to 4 satellites from Israel; ``I don`t like to ask for money at all`` --- coulda fooled me. GWBD (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1904 monitoring: barely audible but confirmed at 0212 Nov 19, the 0200 UT Sunday on WRMI 11580 --- as usually now the case this long after dark in Okee. All programs on this frequency could benefit by being moved to a lower band after sunset for duration of winter. Also confirmed on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, Wentzville MO, good S9+20, UT Sunday November 19 at 0421, 11 minutes into show, so started circa 0410. Next:
Sun 1130 HLR 9485-CUSB to WSW
Mon 0030 WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW [maybe]
Mon 0400v WBCQ 5130v Area 51 to WSW
Mon 0430 WRMI 9955 to SSE
Tue 0030 WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW [maybe]
Tue 0030 WRMI 7730 to WNW
Tue 2030 WRMI 11580 to NE, 9455 to WNW, 7780 to NE [or #1905?]
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 5985, UT Sunday Nov 19 at 0238, WRMI with AWR `Wavescan` about KDKA, so yet another time for the program which is *not* on their schedule, instead 0230-0300 on 5985 is blank except for `Wlkng Power` UT Mondays. Are there somethings Tue-Sat too during this semi-hour? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. Re: my 1510 log Nov 18 afternoon, Greg Hardison replies:
``Glenn: -- That Texas Superfoods spot is playing nationwide; we hear plenty of it out here with the Dallas QTH. The only Rush-head I know for sure on 1510 is WLAC. D'ya think.......? 73z -- GREG HARDISON``

Hi Greg, WLAC did cross my mind, and Rush is sked there on Saturday afternoons, but he is also on KNNS per NRC AM Log and their website, tho no program sked. I would really expect to hear KNNS at edge of groundwave around here. There was QRM, and Childress could make it too, but maybe all the items I cited were from KNNS. 73, (Glenn Hauser, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 7470, Nov 19 at 0248, something here, VP S4 carrier; could it be anti-Christ pro-Yahweh pirate, Station YHWH? Cannot detect the dulcet tones of Josiah, but this was his last favorite frequency, not heard since Oct 14, and nothing else is scheduled here (except 22-24 UT, IBB Bod-Tibetan via Tajikistan) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
