** CUBA. 6060, March 21 at 0621, RHC English is AWOL, leaving the ZY off-frequency alone. 6000, 6100, 6165 still going, and 5040 now runs English at 0500-0600v*. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** EQUATORIAL GUINEA. 5005, March 21 at 0532, S4-S6 vs storm noise, but enough signal to make out some music from RNGE, Bata. Not unusual to get a JBA carrier sometime between 05 and 06, but trying now near a time Ron Howard was hearing modulation, and it worked. I still have a JBA carrier at 0611. Sunrise was 0525 UT, and less than two degrees from the Equator, as the name implies, SR time varies only about 22 minutes during the year (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** KIRITIMATI. 846, March 21 at 0624, JBA carrier from presumed R. Kiribati. I then undertake a TA JBA MW carrier search and find a few others, but 846 is *not* a significant European frequency; per WRTH, in fact nothing more than 1 kW in Ireland, Italy (tho there are medium-powers in South Africa, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran)(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 6185, March 21 at 0623, S8 open carrier/dead air, obviously XEPPM continuing to burn after nominal 0600*; CDMX is still on UT -6, like most of central Mexico, DSTing to UT -5 and a 0500* s/off not until April 1 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** SAO TOME. 6020, March 21 at 0620, VOA French is S9 to S9+10 but barely modulated; scheduled as 0530-0630 M-F, 100 kW at 335 degrees, favorable for us.

6080, March 21 at 0621, VOA English is also undermodulated, but a bit better than 6020; also Pinheira, 0600-0700 daily, 100 kW ND (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** SPAIN. 9690, March 21 at 2054, REE switches from Catalan to Castilian, in item about choosing presidential candidates; anchor (?) hastens to voice over the brief actuality into Castilian. 15390 BTW is still distorted (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1922 monitoring; NOT confirmed at new time of 2100 UT Wed March 21 on WRMI 9955 since that transmitter is off the air. Not a total power failure as 9455, 9395 and 7780 are audible. Not until 2137 can I hear the 9955 carrier. BUT, WOR 1922 confirmed at same time of 2100 Wed March 21 on WBCQ, 7490.050, fair. Ahh, redundancy. Also confirmed Wed Mar 21 at 2330 on WBCQ 9330v-CUSB, fair. Next:

** U S A. 9395, March 21 at 2328, M&W discussion // 9455. I`ve tuned in too late to confirm a WRMI FB notice that there is a new program at 2300-2330 M-F on 9395 (only), `Quick Study TV` with Pastor Rod Hembree, which I see has now also been added to the WRMI frequency skedgrid on 9395 (only), but not the program skedgrid. Tsk2 that so many have become so dependent on disgraced FB, even prioritizing it over own websites (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 5085, UT Wed March 21 at 0532, WTWW-2 is still on with ham talk, since QSO show started at 0100(?); 0612, still on. 0634 still on discussing code plugs. 1358 awake again, *still* on, discussing Virginia reel dance; 1722 still on with C&W music at S9 approaching midday. Off by final check 3 hours later at 2022 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, March 21 at 0625: 549, 774, 783, 855, 936, 1044. See also KIRITIMATI (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 6800-CW, March 21 at 0617 regular beeps seem like a second apart, timesignal? But they stop before 0618 as I am starting to time them (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** ARGENTINA [non]. 9395 // 9455, March 19 at 1918, RAE starts another week of no German relay via WRMI; instead, Oldies music. 7780 very weak, presumed Brother Scare.

9395 // 9455, March 21 at 0102, RAE in English is still on both, 9455 being quite stronger here, with informal news of Buenos Aires crime. The WRMI skedgrid shows 9395 only, with 9455 committed to four other programs on Thu-Fri-Sat-Mon, but I assume RAE remains on both, UT Tue thru Sat (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CANADA. 1610 kHz, UT Tue March 20 at 0028, CHHA with ad in Italian for Flavor Shop, 905-AC phone, and others. Can`t get any more Latina than that! Undated program sked in UT -4
http://chha1610am.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/PostCard-CHHA-1610AM-2016.jpg
shows this hour weekly is `Italia Mia`. Is it from Taranto? Elsewhen during same 00-01 UT hour = 8-9 pm EDT, but here with UT days: Wed: `Activity Tuesday`; Thu: `Urban Definition`; Fri: `Labour News`; Sat: `Tango y Punto`; Sun: `Talentos` from 2100 Sat; Mon: `Mediation Station`; i.e. more English than most of the time on CHHA.

IIRC, 1540 CHIN Toronto used to diffuse a lot of Italian, and I see they still do among dozens of otherlangs:
https://www.chinradio.com/italian
such as M-F 2-6 pm `Drive Home with Massimo Ascolto` --- what a great name for a radio broadcaster if not DXer (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CHINA. 9200 & 9280, March 20 at 1329 & 1331, weak Chinese sounds same but not confirmed //, presumably CNR1 jammers, as NDXC/Aoki shows both are Sound of Hope low-power nuisance frequencies from Taiwan. BTW, others listed in the area are: 9080, 9155, 9180, 9230, 9255, 9320, 9360 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 4765, March 21 at 0029, open carrier, R. Progreso music joined in progress at 0030:17; contrary to Arnie & Marta asserting that schedule is still from 0130 as during standard time; presumably also closes an hour earlier now at local midnite, 0400 UT (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 5990, March 19 at 2357, CRI English relay during conversation is on the air today, unlike at 2313 check March 18 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 11820, March 20 at 1314, RHC is S4-S5 here, quite readable on second-order spur out of S9+30 11840, along with intervening first-order spur on S9 11830. Also on 11850 at S6, trace on 11860. But 15370 remains clean of spurblobs at 1405 check, or so it seems, but fundamental is only S8 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** KOREA SOUTH. 5917.605v approx., March 20 at 1306 check, carrier from Voice of Freedom seems to have stopped here in downward drift (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** NIGERIA [non]. 11530, March 19 at *1927, WRMI cuts on during IS & ID loop, 1930 R. Herwa International, OK except for a 2-minute break in transmission at 1947*-*1949; 9580 // via FRANCE is a JBA carrier.

Ivo Ivanov says from A-18, this shifts half an hour earlier to 1900-1930 still on WRMI 11530, and France moving to 11625. HFCC A-18 shows 11530 still reserved the entire hour for WRMI at 1900-2000, and a separate entry covering 1900-2200, both 87 degrees to Africa (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1922, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6950-USB, March 19 at 2359 as I`m tuning the pirate band, only thing heard is ``Counting 1-2-3-4 --- why deal?`` or something similar; weak but stronger than the very weak AM on 6950 which chex out as the fifth harmonic on my local 1390v KCRC with stupid sports talk. No reports of this in HFU (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1921 monitoring: confirmed Monday March 19 at 2351 the 2330 on WBCQ 9330.3v-CUSB, JBA with ECSS. Also confirmed UT Tuesday March 20 at 0030 on WRMI 7730, VG S9+35.

WORLD OF RADIO 1922 CONTENTS: Alaska, Anguilla, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia non, France, Germany and non, India, Indonesia, Iran and non, Japan and non, Korea South, Kurdistan non, Kuwait, Netherlands non, New Zealand, Nigeria non, North America, Oklahoma non, Romania, Russia, South Africa, South Carolina non, Spain, Turkey, UK, USA, unidentified; and the propagation outlook.

This time successfully completed 1922 barely in time for first airings Tuesday March 20 at 2030 on WRMI 7780 JBA, 9455 poor-fair; and 2130 on WRMI 7780 very poor, 9455 fair S9. Altho available almost 3 hours earlier, WBCQ still replayed #1921 at 2330 Tue Mar 20 on 9330.3v-CUSB, but with unusually good signal equivalent to 9395 WRMI, 9265 WINB.

** U S A. 7780, UT Wed March 21 at 0102, music and Keith Perron reminiscing about his days working for China Radio International`s domestic service, i.e. now on `PCJ Radio International`; poor here, but found // 5850 bigsig. Last info had for this hour was 7780 and 5950, as on WRMI skedgrid, I see, but 5950 not checked now. 5850 was supposedly running `Space Phono Radio` instead (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A [and non]. 9980, Monday March 19 at 2355, WWCR with adstring in English plus pulse jamming a la cubana, tho not nearly as heavy as upon R. Libertad via 9955 WRMI. WWCR sked for 6-7 pm weekdays on 9980 is `Commonsense Coalition`, perhaps worthy of jamming; or stray? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 3215, UT Tue Mar 20 at 0009, no signal from WWRB, and WWCR won`t come up until 0059. Is WWRB no longer doing any evening broadcasts? Used to be brief on UT Sun/Mon/Tue only. If any, in A-18 should resume 5050 instead (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 1130, March 19 at 1907, KLEY Wellington KS is still SNAFU, tho bits of modulated carrier are staying on longer now for up to 5 seconds at a time! (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

This report dispatched at 0337 UT March 21

** ANGUILLA. 6090, March 19 at 0607, DGS is on again, S9+30 but with big hum; far louder than neighbor 6100 RHC so undermodulated. Meanwhile DGS on 5935 WWCR is very weak. See also USA: WRMI Wavescan for more (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 5990, March 18 at 2313, no signal from CRI English relay as scheduled this hour. CRI Portuguese on 13650 is still on, with squeals. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 15140, March 18 at 1830, RHC Kriyol with big sideband squeals peaking 2-3 kHz above and below, but at least no further spur constellation at the moment. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** KOREA SOUTH. 5917.605, March 19 at 1344, V. of Freedom still stopped here on its downward drift. Very poor signal but plenty carrier to measure (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA [non]. `Broad Spectrum Radio` audio of the January and March shows now available: See USA: WRMI

** PHILIPPINES. 11570, March 19 at 1340, song in English, 1341 talk in Korean, i.e. VOA at 12-14 (and per EiBi also 14-16 via Saipan) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** UGANDA [non]. 15239.938, Sunday March 18 at 1824, JBA talk from R. Munansi via WWRB on signature off-frequency. Those further than a megameter from Morrison, even in the wrong direxions, hear it much better, enough to criticise the lofi modulation and the boring content (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1921 monitoring: confirmed Sunday March 18 at 2330 on WBCQ, 9330.305v-CUSB, fair S9-S6, with some glitches or noise bursts, maybe from external source. Also confirmed UT Monday March 19 from 0301 on Area 51 webcast, and poor/fair at 0313 on WBCQ 5129.8. Also confirmed UT Mon March 19 after 0330 on WRMI, 9955, very poor. Next:
Mon 2330 WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW
Tue 0030 WRMI 7730 to WNW
Tue 2030 WRMI 7780 to NE, 9455 to WNW [or #1922?]

(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 9455 // 9395, Sunday March 18 at 2319, WRMI with `AWR Wavescan`, WWCR`s Jerry Plummer interviewed at Kuala Lumpur in January, says PMS is committed to keeping ANGUILLA on the air; WWCR CE Phil Patton and three people from TUN went to the island to work on the station, got to stay in a hotel still without power but also providing three meals a day. JP himself hasn`t been to Anguilla.

A-18 AWR WS times on VOH stations, per Jeff: KVOH, Saturdays 1530 on 17775, will be an advance of the new episode each weak officially released on Sundays (presumably already the case). So if you catch it then, you can ignore the dozens of repeats on WRMI, including this one, Sunday 2300, which is secret, not shown on WRMI skedgrid, just `Oldies`. WS is shown at this time as on 7780, but it`s too weak to compare. The 24-hour Oldies frequencies really entail *lots* of opt-outs for YWS, WS, REI, etc. They are certainly programmed into the playouts, so why not accurately published?

7730, UT Monday March 19 at 0603, WRMI is on early, VG with World Music (?), supposedly not until *0700-0900 Sunday & Monday only, including `Broad Spectrum Radio` at 0700 Mondays // 5850 but 5850 is not on yet.

Speaking of BSR, website now has up the working script for the March show, linx to audio segments, and whole hour program at the bottom:
http://broadspectrumradio.com/2018/03/07/march-2018-bsr-international-magazine-show/

Also, long delayed, same for the January show (none in February):

DAY-BY-DAY ARCHIVE OF GLENN HAUSER`S LOG REPORTS:
Unedited, uncondensed, unchanged from original version, many of
them too complex, minutely researched, multi-frequency, opinionated,
inconsequential, off-topic, or lengthy for some log editors to
manage; and also ahead of their availability in these weekly issues:
