Thanks to a last-minute âflash saleâ from Alaska Airlines I made my 19th trip to Grayland, Washington a couple of weeks ago. Propagation conditions were not great but following the motto âeverythingâs better at the beachâ I persevered.

You can see and hear what I heard on this webpage: http://realmonitor.com/am_logs_grayland19.php

Iâm still going through the wav files but thereâs enough on the webpage to give a flavor of what things were like.

Antenna was the usual 160â DKAZ at 287 deg. literally âon the beachâ and in the puddles that collect during winter months on the back-beach. Iâm sure my splashing around provided entertainment to the large number of razor clammers on the beach.

Highlight so far is DWXI, the Delta Broadcasting System, on 1314kHz, a new Philippine station for me from Grayland:

Enjoy and good DX to everyone.

Just a heads up, I've caught this korean language station playing english
language music.. usually 60s 70s rock and roll or 80s-90s gold leaning
adult contemporary. It can be confusing because you're expecting to hear
Korean or something else and hear this.

The Radio Korea site can be a bit tricky to navigate and the live stream
hard to find, especially if you're on a phone or tablet.

Here's a link to their stream from tunein.com If you click this and dont
have the app, it'll load in a browser window and ask you to listen in the
app, but you can click the app and play it in the phone browser

I have a decent-level het way down on 1059.900 that's strongest on the
N/S longwire, if that gives any help to figuring out who it is. I'm
about 15 miles southwest of Tucson, AZ.

I donât think itâs KRCN Longmont, CO I canât hear them at night. John
Johnson in Arizona says heâs getting interference on the lower side and of
KNX, it goes away in upper side and. He says it isnât KDUS.... we think it
may be KDYL Salt Lake City.

I didnât have this noise a few weeks ago and it happens on whatever radio I
use.

I can see it on my Perseus in Victoria, but too weak for any audio.
