TEXAS RADIO SHORTWAVE PRESENTS THREE NEW PROGRAMS TO HELP CELEBRATE JULY 4, BEGINNING AT 2300 UTC, ON SATURDAY, JULY 2, 0N 5950 KHZ

Texas Radio Shortwave celebrates the July 4 weekend with three new programs on 5950 kHz:

July 2 @ 2300 UTC - Two episodes of old-time radio from the 1940s.

Gang Busters, a true-crime radio show that ran from 1935 to 1957, features two episodes, one from 1942 and another from 1944.

July 3 @ 0000 UTC - Luckenbach Dance Hall.

Luckenbach, Texas was the subject of a country music classic by Waylon Jennings.  This week we visit the dance hall and go out on the back patio to sample some of the artists that perform there every weekend.

July 3 @ 0100 UTC - Texas Fourth of July.

We picked some of the top names in Texas music to reflect on what still makes America great and to help us celebrate the nation’s birthday.

Important information about funding of Encore - Radio Tumbril.
Up to date transmission times and frequencies
The playlists for the most recent programmes
An email link

Informal reception reports as well as those requesting eQSL cards are welcome.

You can help keep Encore on the air:
Encore is a one-man operation. WRMI and Channel 292 are very generous with their air-time but Encore still costs around 200 Dollars/Euros a month to broadcast.
If you can - send a small contribution to help Encore keep going.
There is a PayPal donation button on the homepage of the website - www.tumbril.co.uk - which folks can use if they want to. If PayPal is no good for you then send me an email and we'll sort something else out.
Thank you.

A big thanks to the folks who have donated already.

This week's Programme - First broadcast this coming Saturday on Channel 292 - starts with a Finnish song, some of a recorder concerto by Telemann, and a curiosity by Leoš Janáček.
Next some music from a video game that won awards by Austin Wintory, the last complete piece written by Benjamin Britten, and part of a modern cornet sonata by Edward Gregson.
The programme finishes with the first movement of Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto.

Channel 292 can be pulled live off the internet if the reception is poor in your location. Easy to find their site with a google search.
A very good site for online SDR receivers all over the world is: http://kiwisdr.com/public/  Click the 'Map' button in the top left of the screen.

Thank you for spreading the word about Encore - Classical Music on Shortwave on Radio Tumbril.
