Something seemingly wrong with the Vatican Radio px feed from Rome to
Madagascar Indian Ocean, only the pause signal of Vatican Radio heard over
and over again via MDG relay site, but no special 'MARIA mentioned over and
over' heard on that channel. 08.00-08.30 UT
15575 kHz S=9+20dB strength in Germany, French to WeAfrica at 08.01 UT,
mentioned often Republique Democratique du Congo ... relig political item.
MDG  -  Nothing heard on 17790 kHz here in Germany / EUR at 08.04 UT.
17760 kHz Portuguese Church chorus sung at 08.05 UT, S=9 in Germany, but
some switch of different TX units and antennas occured til 08.13, when
signal was lower of S=7-8 strength. Partly heard also same px outlet til
08.09 UT switch OFF on 17775 kHz, S=7-8.
In between also seemingly two TX units send out on 17760 kHz with echo delay
fluttery.
17790 kHz checked in Delhi SoAS target at 08.20 UT, noted only fair S=5
signal from Madagascar, only station pause signal over and over again.
Further check at 08.32 UT revealed Tamil language female presenter of the
LIVE coverage from Vatican City. S=7 at 08.39 UT in Delhi.
21650 kHz Vatican Radio from Santa Maria di Galeria in English, S=9+15dB
here in Germany, S=9+10dB on remote Perseus SDR in Delhi, SoAS, at 08.18 UT,

WBCQ is now "open for business" on its 4790 frequency before 0200 UTC (before 10PM EDT) adjacent to the Radio Angela music/cultural programming. Time is also available on 6160 and 7490, and it is still hoped that music and cultural programs will gravitate towards 4790 while other spoken word content hosts will consider 6160 and 7490, although music is obviously not verboten on the other frequencies.   Serious inquiries can be directed to wbcq@wbcq.com

VANUATU, Radio Vanuatu, Port Vila seems to be out of the air today. Not
even carrier heard on 7260 at 0550 and not even carrier heard on 11835
from 0600. Also checked via SDR Kiwi remote receiver in New Zealand, no
signal on 3945, 5040, 7260 and 11835.

Interspersed with music by Queen, these episodes of Flash Gordon were 
aired on CBS radio in 1936.
TRSW will feature other old-time radio shows in the coming weeks: Yours 
Truly, Johnny Dollar on May 21 and 28; and Camel Rock & Roll Dance Party 
on June 4 and 11.  Other shows will be announced soon—all at 2300 UTC 
Saturdays on 5950 kHz.
