DX/SWL/MEDIA PROGRAMS updated Oct 5:
http://www.worldofradio.com/dxpgms.html

** ARGENTINA. Re my last log on 28195: ``Hi Glenn! I logged LU3DBJ on
Sep 24 at 2145 on 28195 ten years after it was last reported on 28167
in
https://rxx.classaxe.com/en/rna/signals
This QSY is also indicated in the DL8WX beacon list at
http://www.dl8wx.de/bake_kw.htm
William Buchanan hasn’t logged it yet.
Steve Howe, Saint Albans, VT`` (Glenn Hauser, WOR)

** CUBA. 5025, Oct 5 at 0640, S9+20/40 of dead air in Spanish yet
again from R. Rebelde, where something`s always wrong (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A. Bedtime beacon bandscan finds a few MCW peripherals JBA vs
noise level, Oct 5 at 0644-0650 UT:
305, RO, ROswell NM, but copiable tuned to 303 USB
326, MA, MidlAnd TX
329, PMV, PlattsMouth NE
341, JBA carrier, could be OIN KS, DNI TX or even EI Enid reactivated?
356, ODX, Ord NE (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785+, Oct 5 at 2201 t/in via UTwente, signal with dead
air in English, not at usual blasting level but chop 2202* before I
can measure S or exact frequency offset; and does not come back. So
VOT tries but fails again to get going. Something`s always erroneous
at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2263 monitoring: UT Sat Oct 5 at
0300*, WTWW 5085 cuts off air immediately after ID as if intentional.
I emailed George immediately, what`s going on? And it came back on at
*0305 with WOR S9/+10 in progress thru 0329, then a bit of music and
off again.

Also confirmed Saturday October 5 at 1445 the 1430 on SW Gold Radio,
Germany, 6160.000, S9/+10 into UTwente.

Also confirmed Saturday October 5 at 1600 on WRN North America
webcast.

Also confirmed Saturday October 5 at 1734 the 1730 on SW Gold Radio,
Germany, 6160.000+ at S9+15/20 into UTwente but with RTTY QRM from
6164 and broadcast splash from 6165; and 3 words behind on 3975.002-,
S9/+15 in the clear.

Also confirmed Saturday October 5 at 1958 about 6 minutes into so
started circa 1952 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, S9+17 by groundwave into nearby
SDR.

Also confirmed Saturday October 5 at 2000 on WRN European stream.

Hauser
** ARGENTINA. 28195 CW, Oct 4 at 2204, dash and VVV LU3DBJ and then a
Q-code and long msg not copied. Not in the WGB list on this or any
frequency, nor any similar call. In QRZ.com but no info about beacon
or anything beyond: ``LU3DBJ Argentina flag Argentina, JORGE LUIS
BOMBINO, bernal 1876, Argentina`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BONAIRE. 800, Oct 4 at 0300, gospel huxter in Spanish atop KQCV
OKC, Christians vs Christians! and no sign of the distorted XEERG.
Presumably PJB, but where is it in WRTH 2024? Nothing under BONAIRE,
or NETHERLANDS ANTILLES in the ``national`` or ``international``
sexions. Finally find a brief cross reference on page 576 at the end
of INTL USA listings, for TWR referring us to Slovakia, Singapore or
South Africa! Finally found under CARIBBEAN NETHERLANDS on page 541.
Sked includes Spanish at 00-03 & 03-05, targets changing from Cuba to
Caribbean at 0300; it would be helpful to know what azimuths: is the
latter more favorable for us? And off the air 05-08 before Portuguese,
clear for XEERG during those two sesquihours. As also in Q&E mwlist -
but how does the ITU? abbr. for this `country` become BES? (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA [non]. In addition to eQSL from Pop Shop Radio, via
Woofferton 11990, Sept 10 at 0300, different pQSL also received, now
#148, 149, 150, 151 at http://www.worldofradio.com/QSL.html
or individually:
https://www.w4uvh.net/PopShopRadio_envelope.jpg
https://www.w4uvh.net/QSL_PopShopRadio_front.jpg
https://www.w4uvh.net/QSL_PopShopRadio_data.jpg
https://www.w4uvh.net/PopShopRadio_enclosures.jpg
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. 13680, Oct 4 at 1440, extremely rough wobbling carrier,
suspected of VOK North; but only listed is CNR1 jamming and SOH (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 889 & 891, Oct 4 at 0302 just as I hit 890 USB on a bandscan,
no hets/spurs/carriers, but they *cut on immediately as I guess R.
Progreso was also off and on (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6000, Oct 4 at 0310, RHC English S9+30/40 but extremely
distorted, unusable. Something`s always wrong at RHC. One wonders how
management or engineering at anystation could allow this to go on and
on and on, rather than just giving up and turning it off. Makes them a
laughingstock (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5025, Oct 4 at 0645, S9+35/45 of dead air in Spanish from R.
Rebelde where something`s always wrong (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6925 AM, Oct 4 at 0314, S9+10/20 of pirate music.
These say it`s Liquid Radio:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,134576.0.html
Some editors insist on deleting such references! (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 7475, Oct 4 at 0316, Station YHWH at S9, but Josiah
undermodulated so JBA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 11529.900, Oct 4 at 1652, song JBA, could be
Japanese, S5/S7 into Utah SDR. Rick Barton, AZ, had just reported at
1630 that Hikari FM had moved up from ``11515`` to ``11530``, but
really about 0.1 kHz low from new frequency just like old one. Around
here is likely to conflict with KurdoTurco radio war, not heard now,
tho at first there was some chirping like has been around 11935
SaudiYemen, and then again at 1659 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 89.1, Oct 4 at 1943 past 2050 UT, dead air in $ tereo from
K206CA, Enid, translator of 90.5 KNYD, Oasis Network gospel huxter. At
least that reduces the ACI to 88.9, feeder frequency I have been using
for BSR-1 SW caradio; but still squeezed by another local translator
on 88.7. Of the four available, 88.3 should be best. When it worx,
K206CA cannot really be picking up KNYD direct, since it`s ~200 km
away in Broken Arrow/Tulsa, while 90.5 is blocked here by much closer
KGVV Goltry with yet another gospel huxter network (Glenn Hauser,
Enid, WOR)

** SPAIN. 17715, Fri Oct 4 at 2200, token English from SNR, best here
S9/+10 on SAm channel as 17855 for NAm is still OFF. So is 15390 for
Af, but 15520 for ME also backwardly audible. Something`s notright at
Noblejas. Preview topic to be something about art history on October
20; such a discussion underway at 2210 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.006, Oct 4 at *2157 IS on at full power, S9+20/30
direct. 2200 timesig about 2 sex behind WWV, s/on as if it`s 1230 on
17620: something`s always awry at Ankara. 2211 from music to `Review
of the Turkish Press`. 2213 ``always-by-your-side`` promo, music. 2223
into UTwente when measured, VG music. 2229 ``a-b-y-s`` again. 2230
`Turkish Folk Tales` about morality doing good vs doing bad to others
and oneself. 2235 music. 2253 s/off as if 17620. 2254 IS to before
2255* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 251 MCW kHz, Oct 4 at 0648 UT, only slightly unusual beacon
is JBA, AM, 100 watts from Amarillo TX. Still fighting huge local
noise level (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15016 USB, Oct 4 at 0630, USAF cipher message, training
exercise? Can`t understand tactical ``ID`` - sounds like ``This is
Dub-Yer``. Repeated several times fonetikally: UC6QUCE, then entire
message starting with those, plus: ATN5CBKKZ6BXFL743YTWXRGBM (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2263 monitoring: confirmed Friday
October 4 at 2038 the 2030 on IRRS via AM Italia, 1322.996- kHz, S9
into UTwente, with lite CCI and heavy ACI de 1332. Also confirmed on
WRMI webcast-only.

Missed checking Fri Oct 4 at 2200 on WRMI 9955: anyone hear it?

Confirmed Friday October 4 at 2236 the 2230 on SW Gold Radio, Germany,
3975.003, S7/S9 into UTwente. Next:

0300 UT Saturday WTWW 5085; [was on at 0207, hope it stay]
0930 UT Saturday WRMI 9455 to WNW;
1430 UT Saturday SW Radio, Germany 6160;

** U S A. 9475 off but 9930 on, Oct 5 at 0013 from WTWW; one
transmitter still down, the one which would have carried WOR. But 5085
is on after 0100, still 0208 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. Pre-`AAAWWW` chex of WBCQs into NH SDR, Oct 4 at 2345 and
same at 2355: 3265 & 5130 OFF. 6160 -70 Hz = 6159.93 at S9+10/12 with
TOMBS, and RTTY QRM from 6164 like I also hear in Europe vs SW Radio,
Germany; more noise about 6165-6176, DRM? 7490 -68 Hz = 7489.932 with
FKB, S9+10/20. By 0000 UT Sat Oct 5, 7490- only disclaims that
following originally aired on July 12, 2024. AW starts with ``Hit
it!`` - never mind now but q.v. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 6920 LSB, Oct 4 at 0313, 2-way or multi-way net in
Spanish with indecipherable talkovers. Either the stations can`t hear
each other or not paying attention to cambios, taking turns, duh. This
area down to 6900 are replete with such intruders into the Pirate
Band, hi, probably Mexicans (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
