** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RC USB, Sat Apr 13 at 2145 tune-in early for
LRA36, but it`s already running, VP into only BsAs remote working,
Spanish but no match for S7 noise level. 2149 switch to Brasília SDR
where it`s *much* better tho only S3/S6 with music, 2155 ID, 2214 &
2216 IDs in passing. Reduced carrier barely perceptible by tuning
lower in USB. By 2235 faded down to only S2/S3, barely readable. 2340
next check is gone, just splash from 15480 China. So I wonder what
time starting now, and still only on Saturday? (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** GERMANY. 6070, Sat Apr 13 after 1900, `From the Isle of Music`
confirmed on its new schedule, monthly on second Saturday via Channel
292, S9+5/10 into UTwente. Monthly on third Sat will be `Uncle Bill`s
Melting Pot` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MALI. 5995, April 13 at 0618, ORTM is on for a change, African song
with strumming, S9+15/25 direct (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 6184.97 approx., April 13 at 0620, this time XEPPM air
really is dead on S9/+30 signal. Something`s malo en México (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.009, Apr 13 at 2155, VOT already on with long-form
IS, VG S9+45 into UTwente; 2156 pause and restart short IS with
English IDs. 2200 accurate timesignal but instead of s/on, plays the
2-minute multi-lingual ID filler reel! 2202 news in English for this
date. 2212 `The Energy Agenda`, natural gas reserves in eastern
Mediterranean around Cyprus worth a sesquiterabuck. 2217 song. 2224
`Turkey`s Geomarked [sic] Products` - baklava. 2227 music. 2231
another song. 2235 another2 song. 2238 another3 song. 2242 another4
song. 2246 another5 song. 2250 another6 song. 2253 s/off of the 1230
on 17620, the badax` voice for the first time this hour. 2254 IS.
2254.4* chopoff, no finesse. A semihour of music fill might also
qualify as something`s awry at Ankara (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2238 monitoring: confirmed UT
Saturday April 13 at 0130 on WRMI 5850, S9+20/25 direct.

Don`t you believe also on 7730, as misdisplayed for months/years on
the WRMI skedgrid. 7730 is JBA but not //. Altho now ``effective March
10, 2024``, the System F - redsked shows at 01-03 everything on both
frequencies. Yet the frequency sked atop shows System L on 7730 during
those hours. Yet the System L yellowsked itself shows 5950 only! This
error affects many other programs and programmmes, such as Encore,
RNEI, RFPI, R. Carpathia, CQ Calling, The Mighty KBC, Rosie`s Retro
Wave.

WOR 2238 also confirmed UT Saturday April 13 at 0400 on WTWW 5085, VG
into NH remote. I`m pleased with how reliably and accurately Bob
Biermann has been playing WOR each week, and tnx to George McClintock
for availablizing the time and keeping the transmitter running.

Also confirmed Saturday April 13 at 1450 the 1430 on SW Radio,
Germany, 6160.001, S9+5 into UTwente

Also confirmed Saturday April 13 at 1613 the 1600 on WRN N America
webcast.

Also confirmed Saturday April 13 at 1930 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO,
already underway, mid-break at 1939 so started early circa 1925.

Also confirmed Saturday April 13 after 1930 on WRMI webcast only and
WRN webcast for North America.

Also confirmed Saturday April 13 at 2012 the 2000 on WRN Europe
webcast.

Also confirmed Saturday April 13 at 2348 at mid-break on IRRS
NEXUS-IBA stream only, so probably still starting circa 2334 leading
to chopping off the last 3 minutes or so by 2400. Next:

** CANADA. 15034 USB, April 12 at 1531, random tune to Trenton
Military hits them with aviation weather *received!!* from Zagreb,
etc. I wonder how many flights, even commercial, to Serbia depend on
this (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, April 12 at 1900, I check for RHC English: NO signal;
retune to 11760 and there is a good signal with ``Ed Newman`` opening
English hour - but chopped off the air before 1901! Hastening to QSY
to 15140? NO, still nothing there by 1925. Something`s always wrong at
RHC. Could English be shunted to an unknown third frequency? The Other
Side:

``DIARIO DE CUBA - READ TODAY THE CUBA OF TOMORROW

On Thursday an anti-regime group launched the Five Freedoms (5L)
citizens' initiative against Totalitarianism, "the people's answer to
the economic package," which offers solutions to overcome the serious
socio-economic crisis suffered by Cubans and put an end to the
oligarchic state of GAESA...

...Thus, "freedom from terror" consists of an "end to repression and
the one-party political dictatorship;" "economic freedom," of an "end
to the internal restrictions on free enterprise; "freedom of
expression," of the "end of censorship;" "freedom association," of an
"end to the prohibition of citizen organizations;" and "freedom of

** OKLAHOMA. 27184.8 AM, April 12 at 2205 UT, Enid CB pirate is active
again with gospel music, 2206 ``Kay-Love`` ID, as before from K288FX,
105.5 translator of KYLV 88.9 OKC (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** SAUDI ARABIA. 11935.001, April 12 at 0341, Arabic talk mixed with
bits of Qur`aning, S9/+10 into UTwente, where there was no signal last
time I checked at 2138 April 11. After 0400, continuous Qur`aning; it
is after all, the Fribbath. No Yemen IDs noticed yet (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Fri Apr 12 at 2200, token English from SNR is
sufficient direct into DX-390 portable; 2210 feature after Beirut
report is about protests in Canary Islands against government
prioritizing tourism over protecting biodiversity. Seems islands`
limited area is declining, due to development - and sea level rise?
Population 2 million but 14M tourists per year and many vacation homes
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SWAZILAND. 15105, April 12 at 1532, tinkling TWR IS, surely one of
the most distinctive and recognizable, S5/S7. Aoki shows 1535-1920 in
Tig language M-F. Surely that`s a typo for -1620. Yes, much more
precisely, EiBi shows 1532-1621 M-F. Now the question is, why would
they schedule a broadcast to start at the odd time of :32 or :35 past
an hour? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.009, April 12 at 2200, VOT English not off the air
but audible into DX-390 portable. VG via UTwente at 2235 when
measured, ``with-you-every-hour`` promo, music. 2241
``always-by-your-side`` promo and `That`s Why`, badax about brushing
your teeth since there is a connexion between gum disease and heart
conditions. 2247 music. 2252 s/off by badax as if the 1230 on 17620.
2253 IS plays one sesquitime before chopoff 2353.5*, no finesse, no
German (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UTwente, across Europe.

Also confirmed first SWBC, Friday April 12 at 2206, the 2200 on WRMI
9955, JBA direct vs S9 noise level, compounded by seeming
undermodulation.

Also confirmed Friday April 12 at 2249 the 2230 on SW Radio, Germany,

3265 off. 5130.189 S9 `ATATT`. 6159.930 S9+10 TOMBS. 7489.933 S9+10
FKB. 9330.000 S9+10/15 WLCR. April 13 at 0000, 5130 is a bit late
switching to WTO theme after 7490 does. Seems like a new show; Angela
is remote from Allan this week, on a phoneline while he is still in
studio 1 with antiquated equipment. It`s going to be political, as
among his first remarx, ``535 white-trash assholes,`` thus dissing the
entire Senate and House. Retune at 0059 in prayer foreseeing that WBCQ
may one day be the only SW station left in the world, running over a

Lemke, Dear Glenn: Update, confirming WOR #2237, WRMI, 9395 kHz, 0131,

Also confirmed UT Thursday April 11 at 0130 on WRMI 9395, S9/+10 into
NH SDR; 5010 JBA S3/S4, USB tuning because of RTTY on LSB. Bonaire,
5010 S9/+10 also vs RTTY circa 5007. Never noted that before on any
remote or direct.

Also confirmed Thursday April 11 at 1636 the 1630 on SW Radio,
Germany, 6160.001, S9/+10 into UTwente. But ACI from 6165 CRI English
`The World Today` ending at 1659 from ``CGTN Radio``: contrary to EiBi

line but the power module is not working properly. The controller
