from KQCV OKC has some very distorted QRM on this frequency only. Not
sure yet whether local, need to check on other radios. No sign of the
noise in daytime at 1710. NRC AM Log shows *all* other conterminous US
800s have less than KQCV`s 1000-watt night power. XEROK is kaput, not
mentioned at all in 2024 IRCA Mexican Log. There are a few more XEs
still on 800; higher-powered Canadians; and PJB (Glenn Hauser, OK,

** SPAIN. 17855, Sept 17 at 2158, no token English on Tuesday but
checking SNR Ladino reception anyway. VP direct S5/S8 with pulsing on
the plus side. This NAm frequency at S6/S8 is *weaker* than 17715 to
SAm, S9/+10 with flutter, so something`s notright at Noblejas in
addition to prop disturbance. 15520 also on and 15390 also still off.
Estimated frequency at 2200 of the pulsing, never noticed before:

** OKLAHOMA. 98.5, Sept 16 at 0559 UT, Enid translator is // 99.9
KVBN-LP. This is a change for the 98.5 source, no idea when it
happened as I seldom listen to either but 99.9 had a joint ``KVBN`` ID
for both frequencies. This would be news to FCC and WTFDA. FCC FM
Query still claims 98.5 K253BC, licensed to Paul Regier, relays KGVV
which is 90.5 in Goltry, 14 kW, ``The House of Praise / The Love
Station``. Goltry is not far away and hardly needs a translator in
Enid. But KVBN gets a stronger 250 watt signal on 98.5 than 78 watts
on 99.9. Both WTFDA and FCC show 98.5 & 99.9 at considerably different
coordinates.

But the WTFDA FMDB shows 98.5 K253BC relays KLVV 88.7! Hardly: that`s
in Ponca City, once a semi-local signal in Enid but now blocked by
another translator here. Are translator licensees free to change their
inputs without notice? I searched the WTFDA FMDB only by city: Enid,
so I see some other wrong info:

93.1 K226BR of KIMY 93.9 Watonga has been OFF THE AIR for many years.
So what if it may officially still be licensed?
96.9 KQOB quit relaying KZLS 1640 a few years ago; Freedom 96.9 is not
also on MW, as 1640 became // 1390 KCRC with sportstalk. 96.9 tho
licensed to Enid is in effect a full-power OKC station, site closer to
there than here. Several other local signals are missing since they
are licensed to outlying towns: besides gospel huxters, 95.7, 97.7,
106.3, same group as 107.1, 96.9, 1640, 1390 (Glenn Hauser, Enid,

at 2159, token English from SNR after 2200 timesignal accurate to WWV,

Venezuela, wrongfully accused of spying and planning assassinations. I

3955.002- both S9/+10 and equally noisy into UTwente with considerable
fading. At least in synch mode, 3955 has intermittent het but can`t
locate it to a specific frequency by side-tuning. Need to narrow
bandwidth, unfortunately. 1933 inserts Ch 292 IDs in German and
Spanish by YL voice, AI? She also solicits more funding for more power
and/or more than monthly programs. It seems UBill is playing
commercial - pardon the expression, recordings with labels, in what

0419, S9+10. (I do get the real separately programed KSPI-FM on 93.7
with RDS stuck at tune in: ``ILLWATER``, indeed! later scrolls to
``STILLWATER`S SPI 93.7``). Back to 780 at 0648, still rock vs WBBM,
and 0651 ``94.3, Stillwater`s alternative`` non-ID, so that clinches
it. I assume they also stillcall themselves ``Pete 94.3`` after the
OSU ``Pistol Pete`` politically incorrect mascot. Perhaps only a
campus shooting there would make them reconsider. Anyhow, licensed as
D1 250 watts -- ND daytime ONLY. WBBM is ruined here but the
Stillwaterians are totally blocked from hearing one of few genuine

only 855 in full 9/kHz bandscan, and it`s really JJBBA, presumably
SPAIN. So many of the UK and Spain MWs are deceased or depowered.
MWlist still shows 9 RNE synchros here up to 100 kW 24h but also
hipowers in Romania, Ethiopia, Sa`udi Arabia (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 970, Sept 14 at 0359, Spanish dominant, mentions
``faul`` so a béisbol game or sportstalk about it. In NRC AM Log, only
two USA SS listed, neither at all likely, silent in Florida or
religious in Maryland. So Mexico: IRCA Mexican Log has four, headed by
Radio Fórmula flagship XERFR Mexico City, 50/5 kW and only one other
maybe, XEJ Juárez, Chihua2, 1/1 kW (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
