XEPPM askew 6185-. This reminds me to bring this up: without axually
making a tally, it seems to me that stations are more likely to be
off-minus than off-plus, e.g. Tashkent; WBCQ always 6160- and almost
always 7490-, altho 5130++, etc. Is there some technical reason, such
as the way components age, for them to lose rather than gain Hz?

weekly Esperanto at shifted time ex-1600 UT during EST, only S6/S8
into Maryland SDR, nothing on 15230; and 11760 also Esperanto, poor
S5/S7. 1954 recheck, 15140 starting French,

modulation. Could RHCuba be trying to revive this long dormant
frequency? Someone recently reported it a sesquihour earlier. I think
not. IRIB is running special Ramadan breakfast shows including on
6060, per EiBi, 2350-0050 in Kurdish, 0120-0220 in Turkish, presumably
instead of Arabic which had been running 6060 until 0230 from the

Sunday March 24 at 0212-0220, none of them strong enough to enjoy the
music or whatever, but logged for the record during only 8 minutes, at

routine MW bandscan hits 1 kHz tone restarting every 11.5 seconds, in
between, ``This is the Brewers Radio Network``. Got to be WOZN Madison
WI, sports format, and reported last August to have been really
carrying Milwaukee Brewers baseball. But their first silly ballgame
this season is not until March 28 v Mets - no wonder there is nothing
to broadcast tonight! Why not ``spring training``?

Brewers, nor could I at first. Maybe CBS SR is on their FM 96.7 only.
Obviously no one in charge of WOZN knows or cares what they are
mistransmitting on 1670, plugged into satellite downlink? Or web.

WOZN is our normally dominant 1670 here anyway. But at 0155 I counted
a SAH of 88/minute = 1.47 Hz; what could that be? There are only a few
other 1670s in N America. Probably WMGE in Georgia, which was 2 Hz
away, but mwoffset measurements were 25 months apart and each also has
a variable range. I have a hard time getting XEFCR in Reynosa, but
well-known for being much further off, 1670.047 as of 2024-03-14

2200. 2258 discussing meteorological and geomagnetic observations. I`m
trying to monitor Turkey at same time. Synch mode cannot lock onto the
reduced carrier, but I can hear it by tuning down to 15475.5 USB. 2310
mailbag, from Chimbote, Perú, Buenos Aires. 2312 on phone a colonel
who says he is in charge of RNASG, anniversary since base started in
1951y. Brief music breaks among more talk, but mostly music after 2335.
By 2347 noise bursts, QRN at SDR? or OTH radar, as I have to wrap this
report before presumed 2400* sign/off to come (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6000, March 23 at 0335, RHC English, S9+35/45 direct but
modulation sup/torted, unlistenable. And this is the ONLY non-jammer,
non-spy frequency on air! 4765 & 5025 both off, and no RHC found
elsewhere on 6, nor on 9, 11, 15 MHz bands; 13 MHz not checked but has
been vacant of RHC for many months. Even 6000 is off by 0624 recheck.

show up but it never does by 2301, when I check 9610 instead, and
there it is on 9610.009, already news in English. Yet again, erroneous
Emirler forgot to turn 9610 off after the 2130 English hour. But VG on
9610, S9+10/20 with slightly more fading than 5960. I`m trying to
monitor LRA36 at same time. 2313 both go to music. 2318 `Energy
Agenda` about plans to build a 1200-km highway and railway from the
Persian Gulf thru Iraq into Turkey, a more efficient means to
transport Gulf and Iraqi oil into Europe, especially vs Suez Canal and
Red Sea problems. First I`d heard about this ``new partnership
initiative``. 2329, `Turkey`s Geomarked [sic] Products` about
handicraft art from Trabzon. 2332 ``always-by-your-side`` promo,
mostly music thereafter except ``a-b-y-s`` again at 2341; abrupt

per HFCC here is the A24 English sked, all times earlied by one real
UT hour from March 31: 1230 17620, 1630 11660, 1830 9750, 2030 9875,
2200 11785, 0300 6165 & 7275. 11785 & 6165 are the NAm frequencies;
17620 also aimed thisaway across Europe. That means a foulup like

could make out an ID but pirate, Hikari FM, in Arizona or Sonora. A

** U S A [and non]. 9955, March 21 at 0626. WRMI off, Cuban pulse
jamming only like on 9565 where R. Martí is never on the air at night.
A24 skedgrid shows 9955 at 04-10 on Sat & Sun only with TOMBS while
System B is internet only mostly with WRN, otherstuff at 10-11.

Guess what? The current 9955 skedgrid shows NO Cuban exile programming
whatsoever anymore, so jamming even when it`s on the air is totally
unnecessary - with the possible exception of 15 minutes a week, UT
Friday 0100-0115, Radio Free America Latina! which is not about Cuba
in particular, from Programming page with wrong time:
