A repeat of yesterday: If it wasn't for the big guns this morning, there wouldn't have been any guns at all....

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

774 JOUB 1522UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling with splash or noise):

594 JOAK 1530UT

828 JOBB 1527UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

567 JOIK jazzy guitar //594 1520UT

972 HLCA 1541UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

693 JOAB //774 1521UT

747 JOIB music box sign off 1533UT

873 JOGB //828 1527UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

657 702 855 891 918 945 1188 1242 1287 1575 seemed to be Asian;
612 738 774 855 891 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick

At 15:00 UTC the band looked pretty lively -

By the time I got out of the shower at 15:15, its wing tanks were vapour
and it was lining up a dead stick landing in an open field.

That said, 1566, 1575 and 1593 were in healthy audio -- a great example of
what the ionosphere can giveth can rightfully take away in a gesture.

If anyone was listening before 15:00 UTC - look at your SDR recordings -
there might have been some something-something...

Seasons greetings!

The solar wind blew away the Asians completely in Alberta today, but
at least I was given the consolation prize of a few DU signals:

612ÂÂÂ 4QRÂÂÂ Brisbane, AUSTRALIAÂÂÂÂ instrumental music at 1458, then
news fanfare at the hour

792ÂÂÂ 4RNÂÂÂ Brisbane, AUSTRALIAÂÂÂ Woman interviewing a man at 1456

Â1107ÂÂÂ unIDÂÂ Woman talking at 1504 ,but not in English, so suspect 2EA

1116ÂÂÂ 4BCÂÂÂ Brisbane, AUSTRALIAÂÂ ad presented by man at 1453

1548ÂÂÂ 4QDÂÂÂ Emerald, AUSTRALIAÂÂ man doing a reading at 1453
