Hauser

** ALASKA [non?]. 4380-4490 approx., Nov 18 at 0125 regular swirshing
once per second across this range, S6/S7 into VE6JY remote in Alberta.
HAARP experiment currently underway, per
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JY5CvrBZyYsG9rMi__YmJFLTywukSknt/view
and Walt Salmaniw says: ``Just looked and there they are at 00:36 on
centered 4465. Walt (Masset)``

Could easily be mistaken for CODAR. The bandwidth varies slightly, by
0145, 4450-4760. Thought this would be too early, but at 0150 I`m
getting that direct, altho faster swirshes around 4455 approx. Still
at 0256 and at 0346 after supposed 0330 finish per sked, 4434-4501.
Visually on H2Ofall there are very regular slightly tilted horizontal
lines. Oh, oh, Walt follows up:

``As for my 4465, I’m now thinking that it wasn’t HAARP, but just a
form of CODAR. That signal is still on after 0330, when they should
have finished. I’m not sure about 6900. 73, Walt`` (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CHINA. 7430.084, Nov 17 at 2318, S9+20/30 of Chinese? music, then
conversation I finally decide is in Khmer. Bingo, CRI Cambodian listed
via Nanning 954 site, which is just NE of Hanoi. Incredibly strong
signal direct for something so far aimed away, and incredibly far
off-frequency for a ChiCom unit, at first estimated 7430.1; then at
2343 into Cha-Am Thailand SDR, which is accurately calibrated when
measured, S9+15/32. HFCC shows 100 kW at 200 degrees from NNN. Is
Nanning known for other skewed frequencies? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Nov 17 at 2307, this RHC still on way late, S9+20 dead
air except for windhowl. SAWA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [non]. 11930 & 7355, Nov 17 at 2315, R. Martí still on here
with what else? baseball talk, but not on 15380, 13820, 13570, 11860,
6030 or any other 7 MHz frequency. Forgot to check 9565, but it`s on
at 0020 Nov 18, with LAH = low audible het into Georgia SDR. Nothing
else listed now on 9565, and in EiBi, not even RM. FWIW, we never hear
any signs of Cuban jamming anymore against the revived OCB (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** JAPAN. 28445 USB, Nov 17 at 2314, 7L4LKK in contact with a VE6.
Never got that prefix before, where? QRZ.com: ``7L4LKK Japan flag
Japan, MICHIO HASEGAWA, 3-95-2 Tomae Mito-city, Ibaraki, 3111136,
Japan -- My callsign: I was born in 1960's and started amateur radio
in 1977. My first callsign was JH7XZU. About 30 years ago, I moved
from JA7 area into JA1 area which includes Tokyo. In those days, there
were so many amateur radio stations in JA1 area. Since we run out of
all J letter prefixes in JA1 area, I was assigned a new type of prefix
7L4 instead of J letter prefix such as JA1, JH1, JR1. Therefore my
callsign is not a special callsign nor an event callsign. As far as I
know, 7K, 7L, 7M, and 7N were assigned for amateur radio stations in
those days. However these 7 letter prefixes are not assigned anymore
and the latest prefix for new comers is JS in Japan.`` Also scenery
and equipment on his page (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SOUTH CAROLINA [non]. 9930, Nov 17 at 2305 TOMBS overmodulated &
distorted on WTWW. Cool it, Ralph! (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [and non]. 5960.002-, Nov 17 at 2303, VOT S9/+10 direct but
insuff vs noise level. At 2349 into UTwente when measured, S9+20/30
during Turkish music; 2354 s/off as if 1330 on 13635, something`s
always awry at Ankara; 2355 IS; 2356 pause and restart IS with German
IDs; 0000 Nov 18 s/on extraneous German and still going past 0015+;
not listening closely but off circa 0030 uncovering Chinese.
Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2321 monitoring: confirmed Monday
November 17 at 2030 on SW Gold Radio, Germany, 3975.002+, JBA into
UTwente but better S1/S4 into Carlow, Ireland SDR. As part of the `CQ
Serenade` hour, always preceded by `Amateur Radio Newsline` until
2023, then ADDX news in German.

Also confirmed UT Tuesday November 18 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, S5 direct
but S9+10 into S TX SDR. Next:

1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];
1500 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];
2100 UT Tuesday IRRS SW via AM Italia 1323;

0130 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160.

As a noncommercial public service program, financial support
appreciated. Thanks this week to Andy Reid, Ontario, for a
contribution in Canadian dollars via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com
and says, ``Thanks for your continued efforts producing World of Radio
and all your radio work. Much appreciated!``

One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser,

** CUBA. 15230, Nov 17 at 1541, RHC best here with music, while 15140
is mainly windhowl, and 11760 JBA, no 11880 or 13780. Something`s
always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11760, Nov 17 at 2000, RHC dead air in English, also 15140
plus windhowl, no signals on 13780, 11880. Something`s always wrong at
RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [non]. 13820 & 11930, Nov 17 at 1540, R. Martí active on these
frequencies only, VG direct. By next check 1746, also 15380, still not
on 11860. At 1757 sportstalk about El Mundial, béisbol. Why in the
world is this more important to continue airing rather than dozens of
other languages? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [non]. 13570, Nov 17 at 2005, bandscan hits a brand new
frequency for R. Martí, not in HFCC. VG but slightly weaker than
13820, likely on slightly different beams for E/W Cuba. Still on now
also 15380, 11930 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** FRANCE. 21660, Nov 17 at 1506, MiniTransAt marine weather in
English, forecast for Tue 18th, S4/S5 direct; dead air only by next
check 1535. OSOB - scandalous how underutilized the 13mb be (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 800, Nov 17 at 0638 UT, continuous noise QRMing KQCV OKC.
Has been thus for months, but not bothered to relog until now.
Longtime defect of XEERG, as I reported repeatedly last year and again
July 13. Reconfirmed in daytime circa 1700 UT Nov 17 into Brownsville
TX SDR: Spanish mod mentioning Monterrey, with that continuous noise,
unlike on any other frequency such as clear 790. IRCA Mexican Log 2025
says:

``800 XEERG NL Ojo de Agua 10000 2500 R-G La Deportiva 24h? SPT ORO
//XERG 690AM, XHERG 92.9FM, and XHFMTU 103.7FM-HD2. ex-XEDD. Stereo.
Staying on AM per IFT. Active on AM 7/25 (logged by DXer, still with
badly-distorted audio) and included in 7/25 IFT list. This station was
purchased because of its powerful FM license, giving the operator of
XERG 690AM an FM "rim shot" into Monterrey``. I wonder if attempting
to run AM stereo cause this? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2321 monitoring: confirmed Sunday
November 16 at 2000 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1322.996+, S7/S8 into
UTwente across Europe, following s/off announcement for SW 7290 which
just misses diffusing WOR. Nothing on 918 or 207 kHz.

Also confirmed Sunday November 16 on WRN Europe stream; and
reconfirmed no longer on WRMI 15770 at this time.

Also confirmed Sunday November 16 at 2255 the 2230 on SW Gold Radio,
Germany, 3975.003+, S9/+5 into UTwente.

Also confirmed Sunday November 16 at 2330 on WRMI 9455, S9/+10 into
Maryland SDR.

Also confirmed UT Monday November 17 at 0000 on WRMI 9395, S9+10/20
into Maryland SDR.

Also confirmed UT Monday November 17 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S9/+15
into  Maryland SDR.

Also confirmed UT Monday November 17 at 0030 on WRMI 9455, S9/+10 into
Maryland SDR.

Not confirmed UT Mon Nov 17 at 0400 on Area 51 webcast only. Preceding
program kept on going, till 0430? Then music fill to 0500 `Amos `n`
Andy`. TG for WOR redundancy. Next:

2030 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW;
1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];

0130 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;

0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW;

1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160.

** U S A. 5085, Nov 17 at 0637, this WTWW still on air much later than
usual 0400*, gospel music, S9+10/20. While 5920 is S9+50,
overmodulated, distorted and splattering plus/minus 20. Latest from
George 0546 Nov 17 may not refer to these senders: ``The first SOLID
STATE relay has been added to the Harris SW100 transmitter, replacing
an older relay. I am bringing the SW100 from the 19th century into the
21st century. (YES you heard me say 19th Century}. The Harris is about
that old {not really}. The existing relays are old and not working
well. More modifications to come in the future as time permits. George
McClintock WTWW 11-16-2025`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 620 kHz, Nov 17 at 0645 UT, mention in English of ``100.7
FM``, ``New Life``. KTNO Plano TX in new format, ex-Spanish. Greg
Hardison explained, `` Glenn, it appears to be still more fascist
bullshit, along with manmade organized commercial religion, in
parallel to Salem's "100.7 The Word". A large tail wagging this dog,
or vice-versa! — the other G H`` 100.7 is KWRD-FM, CoL Highland Park.
620 was originally KWFT Wichita Falls with a much better signal here,
until hijacked, sucked in to The Metroplex (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1330 kHz, Nov 17 at 0643 UT, C&W music dominates and always
at night, rather than News/talk from my nearest, KNSS Wichita. Got to
be KCKM Monahans TX on ND day power of 12 kW, rather than 1 kW
direxional night power. KNSS is not getting protected yet has a notch
toward Lubbock diminishing it here (Glenn Hauser, OK,  WOR)

** U S A. 1420 kHz, Nov 17 at 0642 UT, immediate ID for Lubbock, 98.7
FM and 1420 AM. That`s KWBF, U1 500/140 watts. See my previous report
Sept 25 about how the mere FM is on 98.7, not 98.3 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 1530 kHz, Nov 17 at 0641 UT, ``La Raza 104.9 y 95.1``, no
mention of AM, but nails this and my other recent log as KZNX,
Creedmoor TX, U7 10000/220 watts, near Austin, not El Paso where
addressed in NRC AM Log (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1220 kHz, Nov 17 at 0734 UT, somestation is producing a
``motorboating`` sound (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 9236.0, Nov 17 at 0635, S9+20 open carrier except for
clix every trisecond. What is this? Among similar mysteries always
ending in -6 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL. 6180 // 11780, Sun Nov 16 at 0735, RNA already on with
music and no QubaRM this time on 6180. S/on had been 0750, but when
now? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11880, Sun Nov 16 at 1623, RHC IS and Esperanto ID, VG
S9+10/20 into Georgia SDR // VP 15140, mostly howling wind. Not on
11760. Announcer cannot break Spanish-influenced habit of
``A-MEH-ree-ko`` instead of inflexible penultimate stress as
``ah-meh-REE-ko``. At least they managed to end it in -o as required
for nouns. They do accomplish ``ra-DEE-oh`` Havano Kubo (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** CUBA [non]. 15380, Sun Nov 16 at 1548, open carrier, obviously a
Grimesland transmitter warming up? for R. Martí. But music programming
modulation already in progress on 13820, 11930, 11860, since when? Not
on 9410. Stephen Luce says that is in HFCC, and I now see it at
1100-1500. Ralph Perry also heard 9410 today at 1307. Question is,
whether RM will maintain such a much-expanded schedule after weekend?
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** FRANCE. 21660, Nov 16 at 1509, MiniTransAt weather info in French
still going, S4/S5 direct and the OSOB = only signal on band; by 1545
recheck, dead air. The TA boatrace should be just about finished
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** GERMANY [non]. 5850, Sun Nov 16 at 0728, DW Afrika concluding, from
WRN via WRMI, VG direct. Should be on 4 more as for WOR following
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9660.004-, Sun Nov 16 at 1749, S9+25 into UTwente, VOT
starting `Letterbox`. Cemre says including mail only up to Wed as she
is visiting Azerbaijan over the weekend. 1) Mr ? Lis?, Czech Republic,
reported 7260 at 18? Nonesuch listed; I may have misheard.
Considerable AACI splash from huge 9650 Per Aoki, not EiBi, that would
be Iran in Turkish! at 1653-1820. 2) Jayanta Chakraborty, S Asia,
heard 7285 at 1800-0354? That does not make sense; does not start
until 0400. 3) Mr Siddartha Pappajarjee [sounds like] Beats him to
cite an observation day: Nov 11, National Forestation Day in Turkey,
planting saplings. 4) Leila? Bell, Hampshire, England. 5) SWL radio
club in Chennai? India, using SDRs in Russia, Indonesia, Netherlands,
Thailand, Bangladesh, Florida. 6) ??, ??, southern tip of Sweden
writes in Turkish about FM DX last June of TRT Radio 3 on 88.0 MHz. I
check WRTH 2025 pp 431-432 for any on that frequency: the only one is
in Izmir-Bayrakli: that works out for single-hop sporadic E, 1355
miles from Izmir to Malmö. 1807 that`s it, theme (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2321 monitoring: confirmed Sunday
November 16 at 0730 on WRN via WRMI, direct, in descending strength
order: 5850, 7570, 7780; JBA on 7730; inaudible on 15770. Next:

2000 UT Sunday IRRS SW via AM Italia 1323;

2330 UT Sunday WRMI 9455 to NW;

** U S A. 900, Nov 16 at 0745 UT, ``AM 900, WKDA, Lebanon`` TN amid
NOStalgic music. Such is the dominant 900 here on E/W longwire, forget
XEW, but seldom catching ID. Don`t you believe radio-locator.com which
thinx it`s ``Radio Luz 900 AM``, i.e. Spanish! May we also believe it
ever be on legal night power of 136 watts ND? or 5000 watts ND Day.
NRC AM Log shows formats C&W/NOS (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VATICAN. 9710, Nov 16 at 0711, RCC chanting, S5/S7 direct. It might
be RHC, but on Sundays only, VR in Ukrainian at 0705-0800; also
Romanian at 0810-0920 Sundays only (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
