Re: [IRCA] CONVENTION AGENDA

I wholeheartedly agree, Fred.  Still, after 50 years, I would hope that people would finally let by-gones be by-gones (old cliche, I know) and co-exist peacefully with members of other clubs.

By the way -- if anyone out there wants to do a roadtrip through northern and east-central Minnesota (in a Roseau-to-International Falls-to-Grand Rapids-to-Minneapolis line) in the days either immediately before or immediately after the convention, feel free to e-mail me off-list.  This ties in with another hobby of mine (one which some of you on these listservers share), and I'm hoping for the opportunity to add to my totals while I'm in the area.

I would hate to think we still have some cavemen still in our midst that hold grudges and want to open up old wounds.

Personally, I would not welcome anyone harboring these old grudges at the convention.  Let them stay home and stew on the past.

I hope sufficient security will be in place to handle any possible dust-ups between club members with long memories.  I'd hate to hear that an NRC member wrapped his walker around an IRCAer, or that an NRCer was the recipient of a cane-bonking from someone in IRCA.  Probably a good idea to bring along a few of the great-grandkids to step in the middle and keep the peace if things start to get ugly.

Of course, you'd have to explain to them what "radio" is.
