** U S A. Pre-`AAAWWW` chex of WBCQs, Oct 10 at 2355. Into NH remote:
no signals on 3265, 5130, JBA China? 6160, 7490 -64 Hz = 7489.936 FKB,
9330 off for rotation until *2359. But at *2357 on comes 5130 -86 Hz =
5129.914 with IS & ID loop S9/+10. Oct 11 at 0000, 7490 announces this
originally aired Oct 3, 2025 = only last week, never mind. By now,
9330 also on it, while at 0001, 5130 is still running the IS loop as
WTO theme is playing too. 6160 also now on with AAAWWW; 3265+ still
off (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7505, Oct 11 at 0119, no signal from WRNO; seems I have not
noticed it all lately during the 01-04+ UT schedule. Has anyone?
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. On Oct 11 from 0445, I posted to four DX lists including
WOR iog:

``First at 0425 UT Oct 11 in a bandscan I am not getting *any* TA
carriers, but there is a big one on 1431 which much be closer, not
only direct, but on a remote in MO I just checked, so it`s not local
to me. Please check out. I imagine there may be some modulation/music
on it?

I should add that unlike several weeks ago there is no match on 1469
implying spurs out of a 1450, which was never traced. Nor any other
plus/minus 1 kHz carriers in top half of MW band.

Around 0500 I`ve DF`d it on the handheld DX-398 to roughly east/west
from Enid or slightly counterclockwise from that.

At 0520 UT, KFS SDR SE antenna on west coast is not getting it but
NA5B remote in Maryland certainly is, clear line on the waterfall. 73,
Glenn Hauser, Enid OK``

A few replies about this:
0514: ``Nothing on 1431 from a Kiwi SDR from Ethiopia. Roy Barstow``

``MWLIST says the 1431 Djibouti station is inactive. Even if still
alive, 0400 UTC should be post-sunrise there by about an hour.
http://www.mwlist.org/mwlist_quick_and_easy.php?area=1&kHz=1431
https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/djibouti/djibouti

I do note a 1431 carrier in both 0100 and 0400 UTC captures.
Interestingly there is a slight frequency difference (see below) so
I'm not sure if the same station is involved both times.
Inline image
{at 0100 on 1,431,000.000 Hz; at 0400: on 1,431,001.066 Hz}

Here at 0400 UTC I see on nearby channels 1413 Spain and 1422
Algeria.

Just checked the Mandeville, LA SDR at 0555 UTC and it is showing
there.
http://21118.proxy.kiwisdr.com:8073/

Also present at Elizabeth City, NC
http://kiwisdr.ku4by.com:8073/

and Bermuda
http://21778.proxy.kiwisdr.com:8073/

Still showing here a bit but not on Bonaire SDR. Very late reception
time pretty much takes TA out of the game. Cuba maybe?
Mark Connelly, WA1ION | South Yarmouth, MA, USA | FN41vq``

0622: ``I’m in Ukraine at the moment, Glenn. I did check my Masset SDR
at 0620 and nothing noted. Walt`` Salmaniw

My final check at 0620: still a line on the NA5B waterfall, JBV, looks
like about to fade out.

Of course, the only conceivable TA on 1431 would be the 600 kW VOA
relay in DJIBOUTI, but this signal is staying in way too late for
that. It is anyway believed to be silent thanks to Trump, and when
active it was not on air after 0100. DF would seem to rule out Cuba,
but of course they are prone to shifting one kHz above correct
frequencies, like 711, 1141. And NO Cubans are listed on 1430 nor
adjacent frequencies.

I wish people east of me would check not only next night but in
daytime for any carrier on 1431 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 6938 AM, Oct 11 at 0417, JBA music presumed pirate. No

SPAIN. 17715, Wed Oct 8 at 2158, REE JBA carrier direct, so we`re
out of luck for token weeklEnglish; even weaker JBACs on 15390, still
reactivated 15520 for ME but insuff backwards for us while `our`
frequency 15500 is still absent. At 2248 I try to confirm at least
that the English hour happened, but NO signals on any frequency into
NH, UTwente, nor Canarias SDR, but the latter is not getting much of
anything.
