Thursday, April 10 2025
** BRAZIL. 11780, April 9 at 0150 tune-in via local ``Brasila`` SDR, but only S8/9+5, RNB English already underway, still about Pará, Belém tourism, open air market, museums, something this November. Voice-under remains audible. 0154 outro English, switch to Spanish as part 4 of this subject, interview with the Secretary of Culture. 0158 closing in Portuguese, and s/off RNA on 11780 & 6180, referring to web and 980, as this stays on the air a bit more starting `Madrugada Nacional` show, but promoting another show at 8 am.
``Glenn --- re Rádio Nacional's English/Spanish segment. Monday (Tuesday UT) was not a repeat of the prior week. This was an interview with a black actress and filmmaker from the state of Pará. Unfortunately I could not make out her name. I find these segments to be interesting and I hope they lead to more and longer form segments à la RadioBrás. The only downside is the announcer's accent, a bit challenging at times, but that is a minor concern. My local recording {14 minutes} is at: http://www.popshopradio.ca/20250408_0149_UT_11780_khz_Brazil_Rádio_Nacional_da_Amazônia_English_Spanish.mp4 Tony Pavick, Hope BC Canada`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** KOREA SOUTH [non]. 11880, April 9 at 0127, NO signal from KBS World Radio in Spanish, which moved to Woofferton after Greenville was closed down. Not a matter of propagation from Europe, as Romania is OK S7/S9 on 11620. Now what? O, 11880 is missing from EiBi by frequency; but still in EiBi by time as via G-w = Great Britain Woofferton. Missing from both versions of KBSWR`s own A25 schedule (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MALI. 11975 // 13630, April 9 at 2205, French both S7/S9, CRI at 2130-2230 via Bamako aimed diversely: 20 degrees to CIRAF 37 = MW corner of Africa; and 111 degrees to CIRAF 53 = Madagascar & mainland, respectively per HFCC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MEXICO. 6184.95, April 9 at 0650, XEPPM with S7 of dead air. Being back on air hardly matters if it doesn`t modulate. This was often a problem before the quadriweek hiatus. Perhaps no one minds the SW store after midnight (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN [and non]. 17715, April 9 at 2115, this RNE is the OSOB direct at S9+30/40 except for JBA carrier from NZ 17675. All 4 are on, also: 15500 S9+20/30, 15520 S9+10/20, 15390 S6/9+10. About the same by 2200 token English, 2209 feature about a collexion of algo (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 11785.006-, April 9 at 2200, VOT not off the air, timesignal 2 sex late compared to WWV, s/on English as if it`s 1230 on 17620, awry at Ankara, S7/S9 and noisy not really solid. At 2221 into UTwente when measured, S9/+10, still unsolid. 2254 s/off, 2255 first notes of IS only one sesquitime before chop, no finesse, uncovering rapid clickery QRM of some sort. At least there`s no Chinese understation like on 5960 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 379 MCW kHz, April 9 at 0614, ND beacon listed as RUE, in Russellville AR, however for past sesquiyear has been sending only RU. Now the second letter sounds more like an S than a U -- the final dah is almost brief enough to be a dit! Progressive decline? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2289 monitoring: ``Richard Lemke, St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, from the desk of Richard’s listening Post, Radio: JRC NRD-535 HF (30 years of service), Antenna: random long wires in the trees. WRMI, USA, World of Radio #2289, 9395 kHz, 2330-2359, static, silent voice no program description, S6. start, later heard voice, no clear ID, Glenn, voice, unsettled to stormy conditions WOR #2289, broadcast needs to be switched 0230, 9395 kHz. April 8 UTC 2025 [Tue] (Lemke, Richard -AB)`` Confirmed Tuesday April 8 at 2330 on WRMI 9395, S9/+15 into Maryland SDR. Also confirmed Tuesday April 8 at 2338 the 2330 on SW Radio, Germany, 3975.003+, S7/9+5 into UTwente. Also confirmed Wednesday April 9 at 1930 on SW Radio, Germany, 3975.002+, S9+10 into UTwente; and on 6165.001+, S9+10 into UTwente but with RTTYditty circa 6164. Also confirmed Wednesday April 9 at 2100 on WBCQ 7490 -77 Hz = 7489.923, S9/+10 into Maryland SDR. At 2114 direct, JBA S9+10 vs S9 noise level. Next: 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975. Financial support appreciated for our non-commercial public service program: thanks for a contribution via check on a US bank from Moises Corilloclla, Rego Park NY, to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702. One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VANUATU. 9960, April 9 at 0652, RV reactivated here, island music and nothing on 7260 which I check every night around this time. Somewhat better signal now, S6/S7 direct and 9955 WRMITOMBS not a problem. 9960 chops off abruptly during music at 0658:14*. I retune to 7260 but never shows there, so where? No signal on 5040. But there is a JBA carrier on 3945 by 0700! I had not even been checking that on the assumption it would not be audible direct so early. But Port Vila sunset today is 0641 UT, so it is certainly possible. Earliest SS in a bimonth will be 0619. Unfortunately, 3945 still failing to harmonicize on 7890, 11835 or 15780. NSB/Nikkei, Japan on 3945 is no longer listed in WRTH, EiBi nor Aoki, tho IIRC it came back on briefly for a special event. Only Vanuatu listed on 3945. Of course there could also be spoiler hAMs or even pirates (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) TIPS FOR RATIONAL LIVING Musings from the Inner Sanctum Polluted Waters May 26, 2024 Bill Cromwell https://classicalthirdfloor.org/blog/f/polluted-waters This report dispatched at 2348 UT April 9 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

Wednesday, April 09 2025
** CANADA. 15034 USB, April 8 at 1537 and various other times during the next few hours, via remotes in Bermuda, Illinois, Maryland, NO signal from CHR, Trenton Military; nor direct at random chex for a few days including 1456 April 8. Evidently turned off after months of nothing but ``no reports received``, duh. Also check at night for 6754 USB. This misbehaviour pattern has happened time and again, eventually to resume with some reports received (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** MEXICO. 1549.815, April 8 at 0250, into Durango2 SDR, aside 1550 pileup of weak signals, on H2Ofall, a JBV trace at this previously measured carrier, which is also JBA, but far too weak for any audio; XEREL Morelia presumed (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MEXICO. 6185 -33 Hz = 6184.967, April 8 at 0248, R. Educación reactivated, whew, and again off-frequency minus, S9/+12 into Durango2 SDR, tnx tip from Ron Howard. Music until 0300 full ID for XEPPM on 6185, so not a MW simul at this time, ``a las 03 horas, vamos con las noticias, ¡adelante!`` Had been off since at least March 12. Probably all-night again with 1060 relay after 0600 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 15500, April 8 at 2232 check, REE frequency to N America is finally back on the air, but if it`s Tuesday there must be no English at 2200. Into Illinois SDR S8/9+10, better than 15520 for ME, and JBA 15390, 17715. Into Maryland SDR, 15500 is S9+20, 15520 S9+10, 15390 S7/S9, 17715 S5/S7. Now, how about M/W/F? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 11785, April 8 at 2225, VOT not off the air, fair with music direct. Into Maryland SDR, S9/+20, but somewhat heavy ACI from 11780 Brasil. Mostly music, except 2239 ``always-by-your-side promo``. 2252 or so headlines of the olds, 2254 s/off as if 1230 on 17620, awry at Ankara, and IS. 2256 restart IS with German IDs, erroneous at Emirler. Off by 2259* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SWAZILAND. 11880, April 8 at 1458, tinkling music box IS of TWR, and English ID as from Eswátini, SSOB S6 except for 12160 WWCR signing on at 1459. EiBi shows Somali at 1500-1530, Sundays to 1545 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 385 MCW kHz, April 8 at 0619 UT, ND beacon HO. Believe never heard before. Nothing else beyond JBA regulars. RNA list shows 50 watts at `Hossy` Hot Springs AR, ``HO 385 HOSSY - Hempwallace, AR, serving rwy 05 at Memorial Field Apt - Hot Springs``. Perhaps turned on only when requested? But it`s a bit late for much air traffic (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2289 monitoring April 6-7: ``Hi Glenn, Sunday at 2330 UTC World of Radio was also on 9455 besides 7780. At 0830 Monday heard on SW Radio 6160. Peter W Hansen`` Tnx! So now 9455 is the `extra` frequency instead of 7570 on WRMI. Also confirmed UT Tuesday April 8 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, S9+5/10 into Durango2 SDR. Also confirmed Tuesday April 8 at 1300 on WRMI 9955, S9/+10 direct. Again at 1400 on 9955, S7/S9 and much less readable. I wasn`t listening, but World of Radio confirmed in Germany by Hansjoerg Biener: ``250408 7290 1835 0804 ROM IRRS, E, Gl. Hauser’s World of Radio 35433 HjBi - Thank you for your continued contribution to the hobby``, i.e. during the SW hour of IRRS now ex-7275. Program sked shows nothing in particular at this time, so maybe random filler but I`ve asked them if we can rely on it now. Also confirmed Tuesday April 8 at 2000 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1322.997-, S9 into UTwente. Next: 2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160; 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW; 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975. Financial support appreciated for our non-commercial public service program: thanks for a contribution via check on a US bank from Moises Corilloclla, Rego Park NY, to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702. One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 1480, April 8 at 0625 UT, YL in Spanish instead of KQAM Wichita in English, or KNGO Metroplex in Vietnamese. Glenn Hauser logs April 6-7-8, 2025 |

Tuesday, April 08 2025
** ASCENSION. 6135, Apr 7 at 0558, presumed Hausa as BBC scheduled 0529-0600, 125 kW at 65 degrees. Similar signal on 6195, which is ENC at 250 kW, 65 degrees to CIRAF 46SE in Kau, per HFCC. What that really is, per EiBi: R. Ndarason International targeting Chad in Kanuri. That would be 47NW, while 46SE = Nigeria (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** BRAZIL. 11780, UT Tue April 8 at 0149, S9+10 into local Brasila SDR, another RNB/A international service segment, first in English billed as about a climate conference coming in November in Belém, Pará, part 1 of an interview with a woman who says she is black, and a cinema actress. Voice-over translation but the underguese is JBA. 0154 ID in English, Portuguese, same in Spanish; over at 0158 for full ID in PP. Is this a different episode than the first one a week ago? I did not check for it UT Mon Apr 7 after info that this would be on M-F only = UT Tue-Sat, minus any stupid ballgame pre-emptions (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** BRAZIL. 28470 USB, April 7 at 2224, PU3KTM calling CQDX, among many other deep S Americans on 10m. QRZ.com: ``PU3KTM Brazil flag Brazil, Luis Pazinato, Rua Baltazar de Bem 338, Caçapava do Sul, RS 96570000, Brazil`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MEXICO. 770, April 7 at 0607, YL in Spanish, instead of KKOB or WABC. No UStations on 770 are SS, so most likely 25/1 kW XEACH Monterrey NL, among 3 other XEs in IRCA log: only one 24h, not silent (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 15500, April 7 at 1904, still NO signal from Noblejas REE to N America; but 17715 to SAm is S7/S9; 15520 ME JBA; 15390 Af JBA carrier. At 2214 check for token English on Mon, 15520 is now S9/+20, much better than 17715 S8/S9, and 15390 S6/S9. Could SNR have moved 15500 to another fq for NAm? A number of alternates are in HFCC for A25, we need to check at least cursorily: 9690 & 17855, which of course have been used in previous seasons; and 15110 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 9875.005+, Sun Apr 6 at 2046, VOT English eastward rates S9+25/30 backward into UTwente, with `Pulse of Turkey`s Foreign Policy` until 2052 music; 2056 `Letterbox`, she says it`s a bit short, email has been slow. I can never catch full names of writers, but at least countries: 1) W Bengal, India. 2) W Sussex, England. 3) Chris, Canada. 4) Lithuania. 5) Pakistan. 2107 fill with closing folk song, tune-out. So repeats if on air should start at 2226, Monday 0356. Modulation fading may be caused by AMSynch tuning at UTw as it seems OK in regular AM mode. 11785.007+, Sun Apr 6 at *2201, cuts on late with olds in progress, S9+50 into UTwente. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler. Not monitored again until 2253 s/off as if 1230 on 17620: something`s always awry at Ankara; 2254 IS, 2256 restart IS until 2258*. Traditionally includes extraneous German IDs after 2256 whether or not extraneous German broadcast follow, but my attention lapsed (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 11785, April 7 at 2213 check, VOT English not off the air, S9/+20 direct but noisy. Also not on the air after 2256 in German (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U K. 5870-5875-5880, April 7 at 0557, DRM noise at S9+10. HFCC shows 0459-0600 100 kW, 78 degrees from Woofferton with BBC in English to Europe (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 404 MCW kHz, April 7 at 0632 UT, JBA ND beacon, HJ or HV? No, must be HU, HUtchinson KS, 25 watts, rarely audible despite proximity; while 407, HRU, HeRington KS, 25 watts is much stronger (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 28264 CW, April 7 at 2222, EEEEEEEEEE DE WB2VVV/B. WGB list: ``28263.5 WB2VVV/B - Foster RI USA FN41cr - #0 (29 Nov 2024) Note: ID + grid + EEE - Pwr 1 Watt to a Horizontal Polarization Omni Ant.`` QRZ.com with lots of antenna photos: ``WB2VVV USA flag USA, JOHN C "Chris" FAGAS, 57 KENNEDY ROAD, FOSTER, RI 02825, USA --- If my 2m CW Beacon on 144.293 MHz from FN43eu brought you here, it has been established as an Aurora Indication Beacon operating at 40 Watts to an 11 dBi Directional Antenna aimed Northwest at the Magnetic North Pole. I also have a 222.057 MHz Beacon operating from FN43eu with 10 Watts to a Horizontal Polarization Omni Antenna, a 50.075 MHz Beacon operating from FN41cr with 2.5 Watts to a Vertical Ground Plane Antenna, and a 28.2635 MHz Beacon operating from FN41cr with 1 Watt to a Horizontal Polarization Omni Antenna. Beacon reports are both welcomed and encouraged!`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 28240 CW, April 7 at 2220, CQ CQ DE N6KGR/B, with long pauses. Not in WGB list on any frequency, but QRZ.com: ``N6KGR USA flag USA, JAMES P "Paul" ACKERMAN, 4341 BOULDER CREEK CIRCLE, STOCKTON, CA 95219, USA. Hello, out there. Been a Ham since the mid 70s. Was QRT for 25 years but doing a claw back after retirement and trying to get going again. Over the years I was KX6NX (Kwajalein, Marshall Islands) but now only use the N6KGR call sign. I was active on satellite and HF related modes. Now I'm working weak signal beacons. Trying to get a 10 meter beacon going (like we need another one) and will move to a six meter beacon thereafter. Interests are mainly VHF and UHF propagation. Love QEX related projects. 73s and see you on the bands. Paul Ackerman - 14485674 Last modified: 2024-07-05 21:01:59, 586 bytes`` - someone tell him his 10m beacon is on (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2289 monitoring: confirmed Sunday April 6 at 2000 on WRN European stream. Also confirmed Sunday April 6 at 2157 the 2130 on SW Radio, Germany, 3975.003-, S7/S9 into UTwente. Also confirmed Sunday April 6 at 2330 on WRMI 7780, S6/S8 into Georgia SDR, but NOT on WRMI 7570 which continues moanin` `n` groanin` from the TOMBS vesper service. --- despite WOR still on the System D sked for 7570, and 7780 unaccounted for in any individual System sked at this hour. But the transmitter sked atop is quite the contrary: TOMBS on 7570, RAE Portuguese on 7780. Somethings odd at Okeechobee. Also confirmed Monday April 7 at 1930 on SW Radio, Germany, 3975.003-, S9+10 into UTwente. Next: 0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW; 1300 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast]; 1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast]; 2000 UT Tuesday IRRS 1323-Italy; 2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160; 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW; 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975. Financial support appreciated for our non-commercial public service program: thanks for a contribution via check on a US bank from Moises Corilloclla, Rego Park NY, to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702. One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9265, UT Mon April 7 at 0552, WINB is off as scheduled, unlike UT Sat Apr 5 when it was on past 0630. I think it was also off April 6 but not specifically un/logged (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 560, April 7 at 0600, ``Springfield, all-new KWTO`` and Fox ``news`` which might have been CCI. So what`s new about it??? Presumably meaningless blather. Please show exactly what was old and done away with? Originally meant, a back-formation? ``Keep Watching The Ozarx`` but now per radio-locator it`s ``Keeping an Eye on the Ozarks``, even tho the call has not been newly changed to KAEOTO (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 750, April 7 at 0603 UT, WSB seems missing, only a weak signal compared to 760, 780, etc. But, no, WSB ID at 0605. Is QRP? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1530, this info from NRC DX News Apr 15, published Apr 7, bears on my latest logs of KZNX: ``1530 KZNX TX Creedmoor – Granted STA, U7 10000/36 (ch 1000), night operation from day/CH site with CH pattern; night site is not operational. 1530 WCKY OH Cincinnati – Granted STA extension, U1 50000/12500. - - - BORDER INN CORRECTION - - - 1530 KZNX TX Creedmore – 10/26 0558 [EDT?] – Clobbering KFBK with regional Mexican music and “la raza” slogans, mentioning KTXX-FM 104.9 and translator on 95.1, and secondary slogan “la que manda en Austin.” Earlier this evening, they gave a bizarre mis-ID as “XEZR, La Sonora de Margarita” before giving their legal ID, in which the announcer seemed to stumble while reading the AM calls. Listed 220 Watts nights, but they are clearly running their 10 kW day power all night again. 1117 miles. Hi Glenn, my latest Hitlist update. https://www.w4uvh.net/hitlist.htm 1) Australia - Radio 4KZ: Updated link to home page; removed link to now non-existent schedule 2) New Zealand - RNZ National & RNZ Pacific: Updated UTC offset notations for change to DST 3) Scotland - Radio Six: removed UTC offset notation for programme schedule - times are all given as GMT(UTC) The next update is scheduled for early May. Best wishes and 73, Alan Roe ** BRAZIL. 6180 & 11780, April 5 at 0150 into Brasila SDR, the token English segment from RNB is back instead of SBG preëmptions, but it`s a repeat of the first airing on April 1, part 1 of the interview about Pará. Note IDs for this as RNB, i.e. via RNA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** BRAZIL. 6180 & 11780, April 6 at 0147 into Brasila SDR, only S7/S9, RNA playing music until 0200, NO RNB English/Spanish and no sports and no explanation. Is it done for, or just when they get around to it? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 6000, April 6 at 0310, RHC happens to be on the air, S9+30/40 but JBM. Something`s always wrong at RHC. See also UNIDENTIFIED 12000 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 9790, April 6 at 0316, S9+30 of English, I think, JBM as the pointless CRI relay is prolonged. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** KOREA NORTH. 15180, April 6 at 0313, S9/+10 but noisy, at first thought maybe Romanian, but it`s stilted Spanish, as to be expected from VOK as scheduled (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6945 AM, April 6 at 0323, JBA carrier, S9+10 = noise level. Only one other report of this, as unID at 0324: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,143169.0.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6924.9 AM, April 6 at 0324, pirate music S9+20. These say it`s Liquid Radio: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,143162.0.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 15500, Friday April 4 at 2158 and later, token English from SNR is *still* absent from its new NAm frequency, but from 2200 audible on 15520 for ME and S8+10 equally sufficient 17715 for S America. Also detectable on 15390 for Africa. Something`s notright at Noblejas (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 15389.992, Saturday April 5 at 2225, REE check into Maryland SDR: S4/S5, quite unusually, best signal on the frequency for Africa! 15500 for NAm STILL AWOL. Something`s never nominal at Noblejas. 15520 for ME only a trace, not sure if it`s something else. 17715.012 for SAm at S3/S5. No English today, of course. I don`t usually bother with precise frequencies for REE as they are within 10 Hz (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 11785, April 4 at 2158 and various chex both direct and into UTwente later in the hour, NO signal from VOT English, nor on possible overrun alternates 9870/9875. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 11785.003+, April 5 at 2216, VOT English not off the air, S9+15/20 into UTwente, but modulation problems! Undermod and fluxuating. Same into Maryland SDR, which also has ACI from 11780 Brasil. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 7275, April 6 at 0322, VOT not off the air, but INTRUDING into American hamband, awry at Ankara; S9+30/40 with Turkish music, modulation OK now, and VP on 6165 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2289 monitoring: confirmed Friday April 4 at 2200 on WRMI 9955, S9+10/20 but as usual undermodulated; also with some splatter from 9930 WTWW. Missed checking Fri Apr 4 at 2230 on SW Radio, Germany, 3975; anyone? Also confirmed Saturday April 5 at 1430 on SW Radio, Germany, 6160.001+, S8/S9 into UTwente with no CCI or ACI but something much weaker on 6155, probably CRI Kashgar in Russian. Also confirmed Saturday April 5 at 1600 on WRN North America stream. Also confirmed Saturday April 5 at 1730 on SW Radio, Germany, 6160.000+, S9+10 into UTwente but with ACI from 6165 CRI English, Beijing site to ME, and Rttyditty circa 6164. Same time on 3975.001, however, VG clear S9/+10. Also confirmed Saturday April 5 *ending* at 1931.3 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, S9+18 into nearby SDR, so the 1930v started very early about 1903 UT. Also confirmed Saturday April 5 at 1930 on WRN North America stream. Still NOT confirmed Sat Apr 5 at 1930 on WRMI webcast only, despite still showing on System B schedule; really something else. Confirmed UT Sunday April 6 at 0344 UT on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, S9+20 into nearby SDR until finished at 0353, so started circa 0325. There was too much storm noise earlier direct for me to detect me. Next: 1030 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast]; 1900 UT Sunday IRRS 1323-Italy; 2130 UT Sunday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 2330 UT Sunday WRMI 7570 to NW and/or 7780 to SW; 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW; 0830 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 6160; 1930 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160; 0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW; 1300 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast]; 1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast]; 2000 UT Tuesday IRRS 1323-Italy; 2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160; 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW; 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975. 10003, April 4 at 2204, scratchy spur from 9930 WTWW which hits S9+60; matches the TOMBS modulation peaks on a second receiver, not the TOMBS mod on 9980 WWCR which is also on but never synchronized. Like my previous obs on the lower side of 9930, i.e. plus/minus very roughly 80 kHz; except the high side is more diffuse. It can also be heard bothering 9955 WRMI, during undermodulated WOR. 10003 also threatens WWV. An hour later George and I discussed these; he could not hear the spurs, and by now they were weaker for me. Unfortunately, Ted kept the WTWW spectrum analyzer. 9930 also flanked by the stable spurcarriers circa 9917 & 9943, not such a problem for neighbors (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. Pre-`AAAWWW` chex of WBCQs, Apr 4 at 2350 into NH SDR: 3265, 5130 OFF. 6160 algo VP S6/7, else with dittering QRM. 7489.925, S9+15/20 with FKB. 9330 only S7/9+15 with music. As usual, 5130- autocutson at *2355 with IS & ID loop, S9+10, but drops to S7 a few times, from transmission or reception? At 0000 UT Sat Apr 5, 5130 & 7490- join for WTO theme of `AAAWWW`, not quite yet 9330 but soon also. Now I`m listening better via Maryland SDR. His first overwords are ``No matter what, it`s all about the freedom``. 0003 discussing microphoniums. Then Cold War, Communism, etc., etc. 0031 says from studio in Fla, 77 degrees, 65% humidity. Apologies for air-conditioning, which Angela dislikes. 0036 and 0040 playing music. 0045 trimulcasting on 9, 7 and 5; 0052 datestamp but I was distracted and missed it; think it must have been new and current. 0053 some email including one politically incorrect (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7780 at 0631 April 5, WRMI-13 is off again vs some noise circa 7778; and at 0635 check, 5010 WRMI-14 is also off. Apparently a schedule change, not anomaly, despite no updating to skedgrid showing both until 1500*. And not a transmitter problem, as both 7780 & 5010 are heard normally earlier in evenings (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9265, April 5 at 0622, WINB is still on with gospel huxter, more TOMBS? Not // 5850 WRMI. At 0632 it`s ``Walking in Simplicity`` with Bro. Steven. Anomaly or deliberate extension? Yet another station with a program schedule they don`t keep up to date with what axually airs! Dated March 9, obviously to account for imposition of DST, yet still shows a 5- rather than 4-hour difference between ET and UT! After all these years they can`t cope accurately with time changes. Anyhow, still shows off the air every night from midnight until 2:04 pm - except Sundays back on already at 6:04 am. And `Walking in Simplicity` is already on sked Sat at 4:30 pm > presumably 2030 UT instead of ``2130``. No info about it under Pgminfo. Broad websearch connects that motto with https://harvestchurch.org.bw/ - yes, in Botswana but nothing about any broadcasts. WRTH page 595 shows WINB sales manager is Sally Spyker; guess Hans Johnson, ex-CumbreDX is no longer with WINB. In 2016 WRTH quick check, he was the sales/frequency manager. 2025 WRTH shows besides 1 x 50 kW transmitter they have 1 x 15 kW. Were they ever on two frequencies at once, even during DRMing? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5935, 5890, 4840, April 6 at 0320 & 0325, all possible WWCRs are OFF, probably due to storms, but neighbor in more ways than one, 5920 WTWW is S9+50 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1540 kHz, April 6 at 0334 UT, Spanglish adstring for numerous events, concerts later in April, May, mentions San Antonio; and income tax ad at 927-1040 on S. Willow? St., 830 area code for a strawberry festival, which = Eagle Pass, Del Rio, approaching San Antonio, so I conclude this be KEDA. Trouble is, a big het on the minus side, about 1539.95, which is surely KGBC Galveston, but I`m only hearing one audio. KEDA is U4 5/1 kW, with very unfavorable night pattern to the WNW, but daypat circa-circular per radio-locator; while the NRC Pattern Book 2013 shows similar day to night, just larger (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 7200 LSB, April 5 at 0624, song S9, apparently from a recording, then naughty ham attempting to sing (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 12000, April 6 at 0310, algo S5/S7 with flutter, JBM? Suspect it`s 2 x 6000 RHC which happens to be on now JBM and is a known harmonicizer; however, Aoki & EiBi show there happens to be one real 12000 station this hour only, CRI English via Kasghar = Kashi-Saiba, East Turkistan to S Asia; standard denunciation (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report despatched at 0505 UT April 6 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/
