Logs
** BRAZIL. 28330 USB, May 6 at 2212, PV8AL, Helio calling QRZ with
very quick contacts, contest? QRZ.com: ``PV8AL Brazil flag Brazil,
HÉLIO DE OLIVEIRA ALVES, POBOX 181, BOA VISTA, RR 69301970, Brazil``
with lots of antenna photos (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA. 10051 USB, May 6 at *0050, Gander VOLMET, also audible on
13270 and JBA 6604 USBs, but not yet on 3485. At 0625 audible on all
four from 10051 best to 3485 JBA. Per EiBi available 24h starting at
:20 and :50 past the hours: but not for much longer: Mike Cooper
reports:

``[WOR] Gander VOLMET to be decommissioned next month
https://www.navcanada.ca/en/flight-planning/service-notices/2025-06-12-gander.aspx

Flight PlanningService Notices
2025-06-12 Gander
Notice of Change
Air Traffic Services (ATC/FSS)

Decommission of VOLMET Service provided by Gander International Flight
Service Station - Gander, NL

NAV CANADA, the country's provider of civil air navigation services,
conducted a review of the requirement for In-flight Meteorological
Information (VOLMET) Service provided by the International Flight
Service Station (IFSS) at Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador.

The review determined that the removal of the VOLMET service will
not
have a material impact on stakeholders and would not be a material
change to the services provided by NAV CANADA to the aircraft
transiting the Gander Oceanic Control Area (OCA).

Aviation technology has evolved to allow suitably equipped aircraft
to
acquire the required meteorological information directly from
alternate
sources. This has alleviated the need for pilots to monitor a
scheduled
VOLMET broadcast on a high frequency (HF) radio.

Aircraft not equipped to receive meteorological information via
alternate means may continue to request necessary weather updates
from
Gander IFSS via the North Atlantic (NAT) family of HF frequencies.

This change will take effect on 12 June 2025 at 0901Z Coordinated
Universal Time (UTC). The appropriate aeronautical publications will
be
amended.

For further information please contact:
NAV CANADA
Customer and Stakeholder Services
151 Slater Street
Ottawa, ON K1P 5H3
Phone: 1-800-876-4693
Email: service@navcanada.ca``

They used to be shared with New York VOLMET, and 3485 with many other
airports` 2-way. The 2-way comms frequencies for Gander in EiBi are:
2872, 2899, 3016, 3476, 4675, 5598, 5616, 5649, 6622, 8831, 8864,
8879, 8891, 8906, 8918, 11279, 11336, 13291, 13306.

Here is a comprehensive frequency list of VOLMET broadcasts worldwide:
https://dxinfocentre.com/volmet.htm

Meanwhile, the only other HF VOLMET in Canada, CHR, Trenton Military,
remains silent after another protracted spate of ``no reports
received`` on 15034, 6754 USBs. Who knows if it ever revive? IIRC,
Gander has no such ``nrr`` problem (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA. 28174+ CW, May 6 at 2207, VVV DE VE1VDM/B EEEEEEEEEE.
QRZ.com: ``VE1VDM Canada flag Canada, Vernon Matheson, 189 Kaulback

beacon and the antenna is a 10m dipole approximately 35' AGL -
Location is remote at FN85ij just outside of Truro NS`` (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** CHILE. 28460 USB, May 5 at 2207, CE8MGZ, QSO with USA in English.
QRZ.com: ``CE8MGZ Chile flag Chile, WALTER CESAR MARAMBIO GARCIA,
avenida mirador. #5153 compañías altas, LA SERENA. 4 Región teléfono

except deep S America on 10m, nothing much in beacons, or on 12, 15m
phone; see URUGUAY (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KIRITIMATI. [Re: ``846 kHz, May 3 at 0630, JJBBA carrier. Almost
every night I check for signs of R. Kiribati reactivated, which used
to be regularly detectable, since it`s on a `clear` split and very far
east, same longitude as Hawai`i. This is so weak that I am far from
sure it`s not a spoiler birdie``

``Hi Glenn - Checked May 4, a few times after 0445+ and heard nothing
on 846, via several NZ remotes; was a clear frequency``. Ron Howard
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 28276 CW, May 6 at 2209, XE1JAL/B, a beacon often heard
before; QRZ.com: ``XE1JAL Mexico flag Mexico, Mario Rizo Campomanes,
Calle Francisco Navarrete No. 8 - B , Colonia Tamborrel, Xalapa -
Enriquez, Veracruz, Codigo Postal 91050, Mexico`` - WGB list:
``28276.0   XE1JAL/B - Xalapa Veracruz MEX EK19mm - #0/1 (01 May 2025)
Note: ID + grid + 3" carrier`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** PANAMA. 28282 CW, May 6 at 2210, VVV HP1DQP/B plus long msg
including PANAMA. NOT in QRZ.com nor in WGB beacon list! (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 15500 & 17715, Mon May 5 at 2200, token English from SNR
equally strong S9+20/30 direct on N & S American frequencies; 15520
S9+10 and even 15390 S8/S9. Preview papal conclave and something about
flamenco; 2201 news leading with Toledo train problems, power failure?
no food; investigation of last week`s blackout (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** SPAIN. 15500 > 17715 > 15520 > 15390, May 6 at 2157, all four REE
frequencies on, 2200 open Sefarad program since it`s Tuesday, VG to
weak sigs direct (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785 & 9875, May 5 at 2200, NO signals from VOT English
direct; nor at 2231 into UTwente. Something`s always erroneous at
Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.007+, May 6 at 2156, VOT not off the air, S9/+10 into
UTwente but just barely modulated, with IS? At 2215 same S9+10 with
flutter. Into UTwente at 2225 when measured, with music, mod seems
sufficient. 2253 s/off as if it`s 1230 on 17620, awry at Ankara, and
IS to 2256* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2293 monitoring: confirmed Monday
May 5 at 1931 on SW Radio, Germany, 3975.001+, S9+10 into UTwente;
6160 not checked.

Confirmed UT Tuesday May 6 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, S9+35/40 into S TX
SDR.

Also confirmed Tuesday May 6 at 1309 the 1300 on WRMI 9955, S9+15/20
undermodulated.

Also confirmed Tuesday May 6 at 1419 the 1400 on WRMI 9955, S6/S8 JBA.
Next:

Also confirmed Tuesday May 6 after 2000 on IRRS SW via AM Italia,
1322.995+. S9+3 into UTwente. Tuned in earlier, at 1954 Wavescan in
Japan DX report but cut to dead air at 1955. Then at 1956 fired a
canned ID for AM Italia on 207, 918, 1323 kHz, and also in Italian!
AFAIK they have not really been active on 918 or 207 in a long time,
and NOT now at 2007 check. Next:

2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 6160.

(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9930, May 5 at 2215, WTWW is S9+50 with TOMBS, and this time
no spurs plus/minus 12.9 kHz, other transmitter? Then I find 9475
*also* on with S9+50 of dead air with spur such as 9487.9, but off at
2216*. Circa 2245 George McClintock informs me that a visiting
consultant has got the 9475/5085 transmitter on the air, so it`s
expected to be running both from now on, 9930/5920 with TOMBS and
9475/5085 with Ancient Word Radio, including WORLD OF RADIO UT
Saturday 0300. The cost for getting tubes rebuilt has almost tripled.
However, at 2339 recheck neither 9475 nor 5085 is on. And at 0113 May
6, only 5920 is on (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9930, May 6 at 2158, WTWW with TOMBS and heavy splatter
above and below; usual discrete parasitic spurs at 9917.1 and 9942.9,
and for first time, two more at double the ~12.9 displacement!
Definitely on 9904.2, and weaker 9955.8: QRMing WRMI 9955.0! Contrary
to yesterday`s expectations, other transmitter still missing from 9475
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7505, May 6 at 0628, WRNO on late with hymn in English,
S9/+5. Totally unpredictable (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1360, May 6 at 0638 UT, Spanish talk and song dominate,
seems religious; and CCI from Mexmx. Mainly probably KTNZ Amarillo TX,
U4 6000/320, and the other could be KGMR Clarksville AR, U1 500/98 or
KMNY Hurst TX, U4 50000/890 watts. Note this May 2 via IRCA:

``KMNY Dallas FW running full 50Kw day power, this night May 2nd 0800
UT -- KMYN big signal on 1360, 890 watt night power - ha ha ha -
blasting away all else S+5/9. Fem Ann: "Somos La Voz de trece sesenta
AM" & @ TOH: "KMNY Dallas Fort Worth". Previous logged Hurst TX as
KAHZ. Cheers, Chris M, Gold Coast Qld.`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** URUGUAY. 28433 USB, May 5 at 2159, CX7AM saying 73 in Spanish.
QRZ.com: ``CX7AM Uruguay flag Uruguay, MARIA ELSA TORRES MOGNASCHI,
GALICIA 1469, MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay`` - did not sound like a YL; of
course, not every María in Spanish is female; sure of callsign
fonetikaly. See also CHILE (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 9960, May 6 at 0633, R. Vanuatu in English about
inflation; or rather Bislama resorting to lots of English words, S3/S4
but clearer than usual (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. ``Hi Glenn, Re: "UNIDENTIFIED. 630.04 approx., May 5 at
0406, low audible het = LAH against 630.0 stations. MWoffsets has
nothing further off than 630.006 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)" -- For what
it's worth, KHOW [Denver] was operating around 630.019 the entire
weekend of my Nevada-Utah border DXpedition last October. 73 Tim
Hall`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 9936.0, May 6 at 0630, open carrier at S3 but with clix
at the steady rate of 22/minute, and also detectable out to 9927/9945.
At this hour no SWBC stations in the way. Yet another of these
mysteries always ending in 6. Almost identically logged earlier:

``UNIDENTIFIED. 9936.0 AM, March 15 at 0618 UT, S8/S9 open carrier
except for clix, at the rate of 20/minute = every 3 seconds, JBA out
to 9923/9950, +/- 13 or 14 kHz. What is this? Yet another one ending
in -6`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 87.9, May 5 at 2010 UT, Mexmx fading in and out on
caradio in Enid, probably RF feeder for entertainment of
huespedobreros. Later at different spot had dead air in $ tereo, maybe
two separate transmitters. No sporadic E shown on the maps (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

Logs
** ALASKA [non]. 13760, UT Mon May 5 at 0338, `DX tips for beginners`
just concluding by Carl Mann, something about electronix. I think
Mann`s tips were recorded decades ago and keep recycling on ``your New
Life Station``, originally KNLS only and now via MADAGASCAR, the SSOB
at S9+10/20 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 1040 kHz, May 5 at 0401 UT, wobbler beneath WHO,
only one currently audible (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ROMANIA. 9740, May 5 at 0344, RRI English about Romanian
involvement in Gaza, relief? Only significant signal from Europe on
band. Propagationally there could be so many more if they hadn`t
deleted SW (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9875.003+, Sun May 4 at 2040, S9+25/30 backwards into
UTwente, starting `The Pulse of Turkey`s Foreign Policy`, yawn. 2047
music. 2051 multi-lingual ID filler reel. 2053 TRTVOTVorld promo and
`Letterbox`. Hostess says recording a few days early, Thu? since was
going to be away for weekend, so shorter show. Has consulted with
Emirler about status of American antenna due to problems with 11785,
7275. There is a new technical manager. No change since last week, no
repairs posssible, apparently ground too wet to bring in heavy
equipment like crane to work on it. [Again I say nothing seems wrong
with antenna *when* it is on the air - gh]. 1) Hemming? new listener
from Germany. 2) Oykala?, Kawasaki? City, apparently Japan,
61-year-old pharmacist. 3) Siddartha ---, W Bengal, India, about World
Health Day, April 7. 4) Port Alberni, [Vancouver Island, BC] Canada.
2102 that is all, 2103 fill with Azerbaijani folk song.

So I don`t need to listen to the 22+ UT repeat on 11785, but at 2257
confirm it has been on air, 11785.006+, S9+25/30 into UTwente, IS with
extraneous German IDs to 2258.4* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. 356 MCW kHz, May 5 at 0601 UT, few NDBs audible in
local and storm noise level but here is ODX, 25 watts in Ord,
Nebraska; and on 379 MCW kHz, RU, 25 watts at RUssellville, Arkansas
which lost its E long ago, supposed to be RUE. Also on 346 MCW, dash
and YXL is JBA, SiouX Lookout, Ontario, 500 watts. If any Canadian can
arrive, this is it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2293 monitoring: confirmed Sunday
May 4 at 2000 on WRN Europe stream.

Confirmed Sunday May 4 at 2130 on SW Radio, Germany, 6160.001+, S9/+10
into UTwente and also 3975.003-, S8/9+5.

Also confirmed Sunday May 4 at 2330 on WRMI 9455, S9/+12 into Maryland
SDR and NOT on 7570 or 7780 which are both OFF.

Also confirmed UT Monday May 5 at 0043 the 0030 on WRMI 7780, S9+30/40
into S Texas SDR.

Also confirmed UT Monday May 5 at 0145 the 0130 on WRN North America
stream.

Also confirmed UT Monday May 5 at 0300 on Area 51 webcast only, while
WBCQ 5130- continues with music. Next:

1930 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW;
1300 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];
1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];
2000 UT Tuesday IRRS 1323-Italy;
2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 6160.

Financial support appreciated for our non-commercial public
service program, by MO or check on a US bank to
Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5932.9, May 5 at 0348, spur from 5920 WTWW, barely
detectable in sideband of 5935 WWCR, but the match on minus side of
5920, approx. 5907.185 is obvious. Same situation as heard elsewhen
parasiting 5085, 9930. Furthermore there is splatter matching mod
peaks of TOMBS on 5920, NOT 5890 WWCR unsynchronized TOMBS, splatter
peaking around 5980 but audible up to 6020, and as close to 5890 as
5895 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9930, May 5 at 1514, open carrier at S9+30 cutting off and
on past 1516. By 1535 constant music of traditional hymns, and NOT //
9980 TOMBS on WWCR, and 1541 ID as ``5085, Ancient Word Radio on
WTWW``. Bob Biermann is very confused about frequencies; or rather
WTWW is testing with canned IDs, frequently between hymns as 9475 &
5085, especially at hourtops 1559 & 1659. 1700 into `Truth2Ponder`. So
is WTWW`s one funxional transmitter now dedicated to Biermann instead
of Stair? But at 1706 recheck 9930 is back to TOMBS, while 9980 WWCR
has gone off. Yes, 9930 now // not synchronized TOMBS on 9395 WRMI
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9330, May 5 at 0342, WLC Radio on WBCQ is finally on, S9+50
in English, after missing a couple days whenever sought (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9275, May 5 at 0241, S9+30 of dead air, but just a pause as
soon gospel huxter on WMLK, S9+30, much stronger than neighbour in
more ways than one, 9265 WINB at only S9+20/30; and WMLK fails to
provide any spurs (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. 670, May 5 at 0403 UT, NO WSCR Chigago! rather
Cuban music, but WSCR may be on with open carrier. Meanwhile, 720 WGN
and 780 WBBM are VG as usual; WBBM pretends to be an FM-only station.
At 0409 also audible a very weak station in English, could be KLTT CO
or KBOI ID. By 0607 recheck, WSCR has resumed modulating stupid sports
talk (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 750, May 5 at 0608 after CBS news, WSB`s AM dog wagged by
95.5 FM tail, lacks any QRM from KMMJ Spanish gospel Nebraska, not
cheating with nocturnal emissions now (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 630.04 approx., May 5 at 0406, low audible het = LAH
against 630.0 stations. MWoffsets has nothing further off than 630.006
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1240+, May 5 at 0359 UT, het on plus side of 1240
Graveyard pileup, presumably perennial KCRT Trinidad CO (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1476 kHz, Mon May 5 at 0357, JJBBA carrier, only 9/kHz
TA one in careful full MW bandscan direct, surely TWR BENIN, with its
low-latitude advantage, per MWlist from 0320 M-F in Hausa, 150 to 200
kW. I wonder if it be direxional favoring Nigeria, disfavoring us
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1540-, May 5 at 0359 UT, het against 1540.0 signals, no
doubt usual KGBC Galveston TX (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1550-, May 5 at 0359 UT, JBA het against 1550.0 signals,
presumably XEREL Morelia, Michoacán, México (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 11540 approx., May 5 at 0338, multiple tones mixing like
several CW signals on almost same frequency, narrowband unlike the
wideband unIDs I report. This is the SSOB as there are *no* broadcast
signals audible on 25m except for JBA 12050 Spanish, i.e. WEWN (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15230, May 4 at 1437, dead air from RHC in Spanish is the
SSOB, S9/S7, rivaled only by 15770 WRMI S9 fading to S5. Something`s
always wrong at RHC; if only they could manage to modulate (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EGYPT. Replies to my inquiry whether anyone has heard any R. Cairo
lately?:

Zacharias Liangas, Greece via some remote: ``my yesterdays log with
better than usual sound:
9899.97 Egypt 1755 that time -60 quite audible, buzzy with -3 and 2
string, Clock 1757 (???) then with man talking in Arabic, news``

Alan Roe, Teddington, UK: ``Hi Glenn, I did log R. Cairo's Russian
service on 2 May at 1925 on 9890 (with Arabic music, Egypt's National
Anthem at 1930, followed by presumed news). Audio poor, as usual, but
probably understandable if I could speak Russian``

So Sun May 4 at 1815 I check UTwente for R. Cairo scheduled:
9899.955+, S9+15/25 undermodulated, presumed Turkish, but nothing on
9470 Italian. There is a one-hour overlap with Turkish 17-19, Italian
18-19 - can they ever be on two frequencies at once? At 19-20 sked on
9410 German, 9890 Russian. At 1900*, 9900 goes off and soon on
9889.958 instead, S9+20/35 with Qur`an in presumed Russian service,
but nothing on 9410 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9330, May 4 at 0621, WBCQ/WLCR still off, while e.g. 9395
WRMI is S9+30. What`s wrong? Was also missing May 3. Still off at 1441
May 4 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9930, May 4 at 1440, WTWW already on with TOMBS, S9+50 with
+/- 12.9 kHz parasitic spurs (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 13845, May 4 at 1440 direct and 1514 into Maryland SDR, NO
WWCR signal here, while 12160 is S9+10. 13845 WWCR-3 is supposedly
12-24 UT, daytime counterpart of 4840 which was nominal last night.
12160 is audible S9+10 into Maryland SDR. It always has an MUF
advantage here, but 13845 should exhibit at least a trace if on. By
1945 check it is audible (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Logs
** CHILE. 28473 USB, May 3 at 2219, CA3VAK calling CQDX in English,
working USA. QRZ.com:
``CA3VAK Chile flag Chile, Victor M. Aranguiz M., Santiago, Chile``.
Not unusual for 12, 11 and 10m beacon band to seem dead but Chilean
phones make it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHILE. 28436 USB, May 3 at 2220, CE4KM calling CQ DX in English.
QRZ.com: ``CE4KM Chile flag Chile, César Orellana Lopez, CALLE DUAO
PASAJE PUNTILLA #377, MAULE, MAULE, CHILE, CE 3460000, Chile - Talca (
35 ° 26′00 ″ S  71 ° 40′00 ″ O ) / (FF44en) capital de la VII región
del Maule. 255 KM al Sur de la Capital Santiago de Chile`` (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6000, May 4 at 0021, S9+20/25 of dead air from RHC in
English, as usual. Something`s always wrong at RHC. 5990, May 4 at
0021, S9+15/20 of JBM talk with whine, presumably CRI relay.
Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EGYPT. 9440, May 3 at 2215 direct, and at 2236 into UTwente, NO
signal from R. Cairo`s 2115+ sesquihour in English. I have given up
checking for it much, but I suspect has been totally off the air.
Latest reports I easily find were from early February. Has anyone
heard *any* R. Cairo broadcast, since when? They are all scheduled on
a 9 MHz band frequency:
https://new.hfcc.org/data/schedbyfmo.php?seas=A25&fmor=ERU
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KIRITIMATI. 846 kHz, May 3 at 0630, JJBBA carrier. Almost every
night I check for signs of R. Kiribati reactivated, which used to be
regularly detectable, since it`s on a `clear` split and very far east,
same longitude as Hawai`i. This is so weak that I am far from sure
it`s not a spoiler birdie (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6950 ISB, May 4 at 0020, pirate music, S9+5. Bet
it`s Wolverine Radio; yes:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,144450.0.html
Many of these reporters list every song played by a pirate - I guess
they have great reception unlike me, have tremendous musical
knowledge, or Shazaam to the max. I`m glad not to bother (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.004-, May 3 at 2214, VOT English not off the air,
S9/+10 direct but not enough vs noise level. At 2235 into UTwente when
measured, S9+15/25, mostly music until 2254 s/off as if it were 1230
on 17620, something`s always awry at Ankara, 2255 IS first notes only
twice and off* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2293 monitoring: confirmed Saturday
May 3 at 1454 the 1430 on SW Radio, Germany, 6160.001-, S9+5 into
UTwente.

Also confirmed Saturday May 3 at 1600 on WRN North America stream.

Also confirmed Saturday May 3 at 1733 the 1730 on SW Radio, Germany,
6160.000+, S9+10 into UTwente but ACI from 6164/6165; also 3975.001+,
S8/S9, both with storm crashes from N France, central Germany.

Can`t confirm the Sat May 3 at 1930v on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, because
nearby SDR is still gone and none of the others closest in IA, IL, MO,
TN, can get it in daytime. Should this continue to  be the case, would
appreciate monitors in St Louis area checking.

Confirmed Saturday May 3 after 1930 on WRN North America stream.

Confirmed Saturday May 3 after 2000 on WRN Europe stream.

Also confirmed Saturday May 3 at 2230 on WRMI 15770, S9+ into Maryland
SDR. A few minutes earlier was also S9+10 direct. Next:

** U S A. May 3 at 1520, near blackout without even JBA carriers on
bands 7-22 MHz, except for US stations, some of them very weak: 9265,
9395, 9930, 9955, 9980, 12050, 12160, 13745, 15770, 17790. WWV at 15
UT not as bad as expected:

``:Product: Geophysical Alert Message wwv.txt

Solar-terrestrial indices for 02 May follow.
Solar flux 152 and estimated planetary A-index 39.
The estimated planetary K-index at 1500 UTC on 03 May was 3.33.

Space weather for the past 24 hours has been minor.
Geomagnetic storms reaching the G1 level occurred.

Space weather for the next 24 hours is predicted to be minor.
Geomagnetic storms reaching the G1 level are expected.`` (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. 9330, May 3 at 0616, no signal from WLCR on WBCQ.
Propagation? 9395 WRMI is S9. 9330 also inaudible circa 1525. Off?
Back at 0616, other sigs on 31m: 9410, 9610 DRM, 9665, 9955, 9960. At
2216 May 3, 9330 is definitely off, zero signal direct. Ditto at 0016
May 4 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9930, Sat May 3 at 2216, WTWW is off, no TOMBS, despite
having been on earlier than usual at 1520 check, maybe due to Sabbath?
But on 9980 WWCR so 9930 hardly necessary. By 2318, 9930 is back on;
still no 9475 when WOR was scheduled months ago (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 15770, Sat May 3 at 2027, WRMI `Wavescan` outro as scheduled
at 2000 on System H, but 2030 music fill instead of `Viva Miami`, then
2045 `I Love Italy`. At 2222 in Spanish seems to be language lesson
with repeated phases about ``mi madre``, but no Chinese, from R.
Taiwán Internacional relay (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VENEZUELA. 28444 USB, May 3 at 2221, YV5SSB calling QRZ, CQDX.
QRZ.com: ``YV5SSB Venezuela flag Venezuela, Alexis "Alex" Deniz,
Carrizal, Miranda, Venezuela -- Photojournalist & Dcoumentary
Photographer please check my work: http://www.denizfotografia.com.ve
@denizfotografia  X,  Instagram and TikTok`` -- and he`s quite a
``world champion`` contester (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 9540, May 3 at 1525, some JBA talk. This is the only
signal audible on any band 7-22 MHz except US stations, in near
blackout. EiBi shows RTI, SOH and CNR1 jamming all could be active at
this hour (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
