The aftermath of the dark side of the greek public broadcasting
First the transmitters logged on 12/6
The following frequencies were with local program :
1278 , 1404 , 1108 . and on afternoon (after 17 )1512 which on 20 UTC was //1108
The following freqs were with only carrier
666 729 981 and 1179
IN Thessaloniki the frequencies of ERA were unmodulated in the morning but
on local afternoon they were vacant :
88 /90 /92 /93.8/ 95.8 /102
Also 93.6 which is now dominated by a serbian station !
During my monitoring on 88 (1630UTC ) I found E-propagation with Arabic station
902 TV (the voice of the Communist party ) carried nearly all the day the
transmissions of NET for all Greece , via its digital stream. IN the evening the
signal was from webstream , full of timeouts but on local nights the signal
was quite clear as NET used one freq for analog signal and on 52 (after 18??)
with digital signal There was a transmission fail for ca 1 hour on 2030 to
2130 with a color bar test card. As it is noticed today the program was
transmitted with he help of a van from EBU
Local radio station from ERA transmitted via the 902 FM facilities in
Thessaloniki on 90.4 mHz
NET was also transmitted via internet via these sites : zougla.gr enikos.gr
cybc.cy alterpress.gr and targetradio.gr and for Europe via EBU
Via satellite only the signal from the parliament was available
The program was consisted mainly with discussions with members fom various
political parties . Outside the building of the public broadcaster thousands
of people were demonstrated against the decree from the government and later a
musical has been held
A video has been aired on how the staff from the transmission facilities in
Hortiatis has been outed with About 20 policemen entering the farm and the small
house !!
Another video shown demonstrations from Tripoli . ca 250 or more people were
outside the building of the public broadcaster .More than 7 stations on the
regions of Peloponisos relay the local program of ERA Tripoli They will help
them also technically in case any new obstacles from government occur

Simply send us a picture centered on the theme of “KBS World Radio and I”, and we will select 60 lucky winners who will receive a prize. Additionally, the selected photos will be used on the QSL card for the 4thquarter of 2013, allowing you to leave your mark within the history of KBS World Radio.
“SHARE YOUR MEMORIES!”
Send us a “creative” photo depicting you and an object related to your memories with KBS World Radio. The object can be anything, ranging from a shortwave radio, prizes from past contests, letters, or QSL cards; it can even be people such as your family or friends.
Please send us the highest possible quality/ resolution of your picture (minimum requirement: 640x480 pixels, over 72 dpi)
The selected pictures may be featured on our 60thanniversary special website, and/or used on the cover of the QSL card for the 4thquarter of 2013 without additional consent.
* What is a QSL card?
A QSL card is an official verification card provided by a broadcaster to shortwave listeners who listen to and send in a reception report on programs aired by the broadcaster concerned.

GREECE ERA / ERT on June 11, at 2230-2300 UT. The remote Perseus unit on
Ham operator SV8RV in Zakynthos Greece and on remote SDR unit at Sicily
Italy showed Greek music and discussion still on 5 ERA mediumwave channels,
at 2230-2300 UT June 11.
Kerkyra, on Corfu island 1008 kHz,
Rhodes 1259.844 kHz,
Florina next to Macedonian/YUG border, 1278 kHz,
Komotini, east of Kavalla on the Turkish border 1404.005 kHz,
Chanai, on Crete island 1511.937 kHz. And private? Radiostathmos Amaliadas, Amaliada, at Kastro town
(see WRTH p218) on 1584 kHz. And two Greek music pirates late at night 1620 und 1629 kHz. At 0720 UT June 12 Voice of Greece Avlis on shortwave is still on air in
full power on 9420, 11645, and 15630 kHz with same program in Greek. At 0700-0800 UT June 12 heard two ERA programs on mediumwave
Kerkyra, on Corfu island 1008 kHz,
Chanai, on Crete island 1511.937 kHz. And Radiostathmos Amaliadas, Amaliada, at Kastro town on 1584 kHz. Heard also strong full power carrier on air on ERA MW Athens channels 666,
729, and 981 kHz.
