Take one big roll of copper wire and wander off in one direction.
When the wire ends, preferably after several hundred meters (or yards), you have it.
A Beverage Antenna.
It can be that simple, for those who are not purists.

For the nitpickers, all you have is a "long wire".
It may well be a very long wire, but it is no Beverage Antenna -- and it isn't.
Still it will often behave like a Beverage Antenna; which is good enough for most. But you could do better, with a little more effort.

So this Guide is trying to wire this great span, trying to cover the vast areas between the simple Beverage antenna, hastily rolled out on the ground, to the perfect Beverage antenna, with matched feedlines and carefully tuned ground systems.
