From the Australian swamps and the American wilderness, to the European fields and the Arctic frozen tundras, radioaficionados has been there with the long, long wires.
This is their own stories, as told by the survivors.

MiniDXpedition with Beverage on ground
With his receiver wrapped in bubble wrap, John Wilke packed his big rucksack and walked away into his local park to set up a listening post at the edge of the adjoining woods. He wanted to find out: How long will it take to set up? Will the radio get overloaded? Will I freeze my butt off?

With waders and wire into the swamps
Adjoining the property is a rather large swamp, and wiht warm winters never providing a needed freeze, a pair of chest waders "used by fly fishermen, birdwatchers and other assorted lunatics" seemed a proper solution...

Beware of Slinky Ladies
