First new beacon of the longwave season VA3NB logged at 0048 UTC on September 9th from Guelph, ON, Grid square FN-04 which is a new grid for me. Signal strength -23DB in WSPR mode on 475.741 khz. RX: Palstar R30A. ANT: 529 foot horizontal loop at 30 feet. Cold night for September. Temperature in the 40's.

Was it just me, or did the signal suddenly improve right at the end of the
transmission, and after the MFSK64/32 signal? Unfortunately, that was the
end of the program, which cut at 0359:34. 73, Walt

signal so far. Via Woofferton, UK with 300 kW (I think). Wonder how
others are hearing Tony? 5th Anniversary special. Transmitter came on
