** CUBA. 9710, Dec 17 at 0648, S5/S6 of dead air, presumed RHC. Also
11760 at 0645 JBAC, Cuba or maybe China? 5025 at 0657, S9+15/20 of
dead air in Spanish from R. Rebelde. Something`s always wrong at RHC

** CUBA. 15140, Dec 17 at 1544, RHC music S9 with windhowl; 15230
music clear but only S5/S6. At 1547, 11760 music S7. Something`s

** CUBA. 11880, Dec 17 at 2005, RHC English S9 direct and not cut off
yet, while 15140 is S9+30 including windhowl. At 2011 into Georgia
SDR, 11880 is VG S9+15/22, and 15140 with howl S9+20/27. 2028 next
check, 15140 drops mod at 2028.5 and off air at 2029*. 11880 is still
on with dead air, but soon mod cuts back on, and 15140 is still off.

FRANCE, Richard Langley, New Brunswick, replies: ``I've been checking
nightly for the past several weeks. It's only on Sunday evenings
(Monday UTC). And the signal strength is not like it used to be, 0200-
0400 UTC. A different time slot than in the HFCC listing. No

** CUBA [non]. 11930, Dec 17 at 1458, caught fragment of R. Martí ID
with SW frequencies, which they rarely specify, for good reason, as
they change a lot during the day and from season to season. The only
one I catch is ``13605``, which is an A-, not B-season channel! It
really uses 13570 and/or 13820. WOR iogroupies who have visited Cuba
say people there are not very interested in listening to it, may be
more for Cubans in Miami (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO [and non]. 1000 kHz, Dec 17 at 0709 UT, Mexmx vs WMVP
Chicago ESPN sports talk. Spanish occasionally peaks, and no sign of
KTOK OKC with C2CAM, which has a poor night signal here, until 0722.
Several SS announcements such as 0743, but just cannot pull an ID vs
the QRM. NRC AM Log shows three USA SS on 1000, all low-power
daytimers, in MA, NC; and TX, KBIB Marion which may be close enough,
but MA and TX stations are also RELigious. IRCA Mexican Log has three,
surely not the Chiapas. That leaves XEOY $ tereo Cien, CDMX, 50/20 kW;
and XEFV Juárez, 1/1? kW, La Rancherita; by format that leaves XEFZ,
as XEOY is supposedly English CHR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 960, Dec 17 at 0706 UT, local KGWA is OFF! Yet 100.9
K265FL translator is still on, RDS claiming to be ``KGWA-FM`` -- is
that legal? and into C2CAM. How can it ``translate`` a non-signal??

of Virtual DJ Radio in Enid, it`s OFF! Had been extremely reliable

opens Okla security net, her call WSHM692. Calls always fonetikaly,
but so rapidly and without recording, not sure I have copied all
correctly. Counts 1 2 3 4 5, 5 4 3 2 1, and then roll call, mostly
with no answers: WQYW443; WQJT582 Broken Arrow; WQSY836 Vance? AFB;
WN_V700 Durant answers; WNYW215 Ponca City; KNGR728 Pontotoc County;
WPFY721 Seminole answers; WNBM839 Stillwater answers; WNBE830
Jefferson City MO. At 1507 she has completed rollcall, and says next
net will be after holidays on Jan 7; belatedly WNBE830 chex in and
some further contacts. 1509 WPFY721, says the Missouri net is at 9:30
am CT on first & third Wednesdays [like today but I do not try to copy
that]. All clear at 1512. Most also give names: WNBE830 is Mike. They
are all OMish voices, except for the NCS. Additional info from Don

No, per NRC AM Log, KGLB is in Glencoe, near Hutchinson, south-central
MINNESOTA between St Cloud and Mankato, WSW of MSP; U4 2500/270
watts. Day and night patterns broadly favor the South to SSW (Glenn

UNIDENTIFIED. 11503-11558 approx., Dec 17 at 1547, multi-carrier,
multi-tones beating against each other, peaking S9+20 amid. What is
this? Previous span heard was a bit lower on both sides of 11500. Good

frequency list, but too much info, and just shows specific
