Logs
** CUBA. 5025, Sept 15 at 0414, R. Rebelde not off the air, music
S9+20/30 direct  vs high storm noise level [HSNL], from NW OK. Still
on at 0635 S9+25/30 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11760, Sept 15 at 1453, RHC Spanish not off the air, S7/S8;
no 13780; at 1450, 15140 JBA music, 15230 JBA carrier (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [non]. 11785, Sun Sept 14 at 2222 & 2254 chex, NO signal
from VOT English into UTwente, nor on accidentalternate 9875, just
weak signal on 9874.9 from Korea North. Something`s always erroneous
at Emirler. Fortunately, I caught the `Letterbox` on an earlier
successful airing (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2312 monitoring: confirmed Sunday
September 14 at 2101 on WRMI 15770, S9/+10 into UTwente.

Also confirmed Sunday September 14 at 2300 on WRMI 9395, S9+5/10 into
Knoxville SDR.

Also confirmed Sunday September 14 at 2330 on WRMI 9455, S9+15/25 into
Knoxville SDR.

Also confirmed UT Monday September 15 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S8/9+10
and knoisy into Knoxville but S9+20/30 VG into S Texas SDR, closer to
azimuth.

Again like 24 hours ago, not confirmed UT Monday September 15 at 0130
into S Texas SDR on WRMI 7780 & 9455 as on WRN relay sked, rather R.
Prague International in English.

Also confirmed UT Monday September 15 from 0301 on Area 51 webcast
only as WBCQ 5130- is signing off, after JL and 0259 11-L ID, and just
before I start, ``don`t know what the -uck they`re doing``. Next:

1930 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW;
1300 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];
{the 1300 & 1400 not last week; error?}
1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];
2000 UT Tuesday IRRS SW via AM Italia 1323 and/or 918;
2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
2330 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 6160.

Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 17790, Sept 15 at 0417, surprised to find strong S9+30
gospel huxter in English with British accent. This is the WRMI-7
frequency for R. Africa Network supposedly only 1500-2200 on 160
degree beam for S America. 17790 had been extended before at least
until 2400 for Classic Redneck Radio.

Now it`s the SSOB over a totally night path, strong but considerable
fading, slightly stronger than RNZI 17675 at S9+10/20. 0427 program
close with partial website, time.net? 0428 ID as ``Voice of the
Martyrs Radio``, about Islam, vomradio.net; and then ``Radio N-N`` or
M-M?? by PanAm Broadcasting, info@panambc.com, or
pan-american-broadcasting.com.

0430 `Truth for Life` [otherwise I`m busy chasing TA JBA MW carriers
on the R75, but this is easy on the PL-660]. 0455 now I`m on the
NRD-545 during `Mission Network News` about Christianizing Syrians.
0459 plugs Trans World Radio, music, Radio Pan-AM ID but *no* WRMI ID
at TOH! Another check at 0559, R. PanAm, two notes, no WRMI ID and cut
to OC/DA which stays on for quite a while. Still there at 0614 as I
have a carrier tone offtuned in USB. By 0632 it`s a JBA carrier, so
now something else? Possibly the earlier strong signal was a sporadic
E anomaly.

I asked Jeff White: ``PanAm 17790 in the night --- Jeff, Am hearing
PanAm on 17790 before and after 05 UT - no WRMI ID on the hour. But I
guess it must be, not on your schedule at night. VG signal, better
than NZ 17675, and much better than your 15770. What gives? Is this
still on the 160 antenna, or what? What are the total hours now? 73,
Glenn, OK like 315 degrees`` - no reply as Jeff apparently does not
welcome such probing questions? Maybe on FB? Nothing recent there
about this.

It`s conceivable that 17790 at +0400-0600* UT is via some other less
nightful site than WRMI. Who knows?

Note this programming IDs as Radio PanAm, which is not the same as
Radio Africa Network. I finally found this sked which does not mention
SW, but repeats every four hours, starting with 8 am-noon, Pacific
Standard [sic!] Time:
https://www.radiopanam.com/listen/schedule/
This more or less correlates with what I was hearing. If there is any
mention of 17790, any SW frequency, or WRMI anywhere on their
websites, I haven`t found it.

17790, next check at 1449 Sept 15, JBA carrier and the SSOB/OSOB
except for 17815 Turkey. That`s probably Vatican to S Asia/ME at
1430-1600, scheduled to overlap WRMI/RAN for an hour, a
collision/share HFCCers are apparently cool with (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 15150, Sept 15 at 1452, WMLK gospel huxter is JBA only S5,
in degraded propagation, K-index 5.33, and ``Space weather for the
past 24 hours has been strong. Geomagnetic storms reaching the G3
level occurred`` per WWV (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, despite HSNL from
NW OK, Sept 15 starting at 0423 UT, first tuning upward on USB, 9-kHz
steps, 1 kHz below 9/kHz channels, best on the R75 with E/W loop: 576,
684, 711, 747, 774, 801, 855*, 882, 945, 1098-2 [pause for SW chex,
see USA 17790 WRMI]. Resuming at 0431-0434: 1125, 1305-2, 1341, 1413,
1422, 1476.

Then tuning upward in LSB, 9-kHz steps, 1 kHz above 9/kHz channels,
Sept 15 at 0434-0441 UT: 576, 684, 711, 773*****, 855-2, 882-2, 936,
999, 1026, 1098, 1125-2, 1296, 1305-2, 1314, 1413, 1422, 1475, 1503.

981, add one more as I am tuning 10-kHz steps, at 0449; and 1141 which
of course must be Cuba.

NOTE: *=stronger than the others. -2 means two or more carriers
beating. 773***** attn: again that mystery on 773 rather than 774!
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 4975, Sept 15 at 0415, JBA carrier direct as last logged
July 27-28-29. No broadcasters or utes listed now. WRTH 2016 had
Pacífico R, Lima, and R. Apolo, São Paulo (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Glenn Hauser logs September 13-14, 2025  View Printable Version
Sunday, September 14 2025

Logs
** CUBA. 5025, Sept 14 at 0302, R. Rebelde is ON and S9+35/45 into
Georgia SDR, good modulation; 0303 starting `Todo Música` request show
with phone numbers -- I wonder if they accept them from abroad, even
EUA? but recheck at 0319, it`s off! Nor anything later circa 0530.
Scheduled all the way from 0230 to 0700 UT Sundays per:
https://www.radiorebelde.cu/english/programming/
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Sunday Sept 14 at 1427, RHC S5 with dead air, 15230 S4
dead; not on 13780, but 11760 is S7/8 with music at 1428, somewhat
undermodulated. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA [non]. 13605 & 11930 & 11860, Sept 14 at 1426, R. Martí is ON,
despite it being Sunday, in expanded usage from Greenville/Grimesland
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MADAGASCAR. 15440, Sun Sept 14 at 1429, S7/S9, ``Hello everyone``
in English, then sounds like Hindi. Fits Aoki listing of a transition
I just missed:
``15440 1400-1430 GUM KSDA-Adventist World R.G Chi Agat 1-7
15440 1430-1500 MDG TWR Asia                 Urd Talata-Volo 1-7``
rather than EiBi which shows KSDA Guam until 1430 Chinese daily
direct, but then KTWR via MDG at 1415-1445 Sat only in English (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 540 kHz, Sept 14 at 0539, ID for ``90.9 y 540 AM`` - among
the four XEs in IRCA Mexican Log, only fit is: ``XEHS Sin Los Mochis
5000 2500 La Mejor, Aquí Nomás, Grupo RSN 24h REG MVS // XHHS 90.9FM.
Staying on AM per IFT. Still active on AM 4/25 per local monitoring, and included in 7/25 IFT list. Los Mochis Cañeros béisbol 2024.`` XEWA SLP is no longer a factor, must be much less than 150 kW as Tim Hall also points out (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO [and non]. 1239.5 kHz, Sept 14 at 0533, het to 1240 pileup,
first time noted here tho many previous reports by others; in addition
to a lower het on the plus side of 1240 which I commonly hear, from
KCRT Trinidad CO. IRCA Mexican Log:

``1240 XEWG Chih Ciudad Juárez 1000 1000 Radio Crystal, Crystal 12-40
AM, Los Grandes Grupos 24h VAR/REL GR7 No FM. Still active on AM 7/25
per DXer loggings, and has been off-frequency at about 1239.486 kHz since at least 7/23. Grupo Siete announcements sometimes include Morse Code "BN".`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.019+, Sept 13 at 2218, quick check of UTwente
confirms VOT English not off the air, S9+30/35. 2253 s/off as if 17620
at 1230, awry at Ankara; mod seems a bit muffled, now S7/9+5 into
UTwente, IS to 2254.5* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11660.019, Sun Sept 14 at 1644, VOT English, S9+15/25 into
UTwente, in `The Pulse of Turkish Foreign Policy`, yawn. 1652 music.
1657 `Letterbox` - Cemre says a new academic year started Sept 8, so
children are no longer around in the station. 1) Chris --, Port
Alberni BC, Vancouver Island, monthly report, listens via W3HFU remote
in Maryland. 2) Douglas Copeland, Winnipeg, Canada, reports on the
0400 Turkish broadcast on 9770, I think, and wishes they would change
it to English. 3) Jayanta Chakroborty, New Delhi, could not hear the
03 broadcast Sept 7, both 6165 & 7275 heavy QRM, noise, tech staff
will check {were these on the air at all?}. 4) Anatoly Klepov, RUS-DX
editor, wants Sept QSL; his report a ``technical masterpiece`` but
sounds to me like generic request. 5) Andrew? Kuznetsov?, Riga, Latvia
{sounds like a Russian}. 6) Siddartha ---, weekly question: is World
Suicide Prevention Day, Sept 10 observed in Turkey? How many suicides
are there per year? Ans: yes, there is mental health support; no ans
about the number. {``observed in Turkey`` -- does that mean by
government fiat? Any individual may ``observe`` anything in a free or
even not free country}. 7) Konstantin Barsenkov, St. Pete, refers to
his QSL gallery, many on the VOT page starting in 1993y: {I say:
search https://qsl-review.blogspot.com/ for turkey}. 1712 ``that`s
all``; 1714 theme (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2312 monitoring: Confirmed Saturday
September 13 at 2100 on WRMI 9395, S7/S9 into N9AZZ IL remote;
following KBSWR via WRN until 2059. Last week this 2100 on 9395 did
not appear.

Also confirmed Saturday September 13 at 2230 on WRMI 15770, S8/9+10
into Maryland SDR. This one also did not appear last week.

Altho WOR is on WRN at 0130 UT Sunday, and WRMI supposedly relays WRN
at that time on 7780, 9455, in fact we heard R. Prague International
in English on both Sept 14.

Also confirmed UT Sunday September 14 at 0259 about 11 minutes into so
started early about 0248 UT the 0315v on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, S9+10/20
into Georgia SDR.

Also confirmed Sunday September 14 at 1055 on WRN via WRMI the 1030 on
7780, 9495, 9955, as I happened to awaken. 5800 & 5950 NOT on the air;
something else on 5850 & 7570, but 7730 too weak to tell. I had asked:
``1030 UT Sunday on WRN so could also be on any WRMI? 5800 5950 7730
9395 9455 9955? Could those already awake then please check?`` Those
are the frequencies on WRMI`s System E sked. To which only Joe Hanlon,
NJ replied, ``On the online Drake R8 receiver in Virginia, only 7730
has World of Radio airing at 1030 UT, Sept 14. Other WRMI channels not
heard at this time.``

Also confirmed Sunday September 14 at 1831 on SW Gold Radio, Germany,
6160.001 S9+10 with RTTYditty on plus side, and 3975.002-, S9+10 both
into UTwente. New time ex-2131 for two months.

Also confirmed Sunday September 14 at 1900 on IRRS SW via AM Italia,
1323, S9/+5 and noisy into DL7APJ remote, JBA into UTwente. Next:

2100 UT Sunday WRMI 15770 to NE;
2300 UT Sunday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
2330 UT Sunday WRMI 9455 to NW;
0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW;
0830 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 6160 [suspended];
1930 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW;
1300 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];
{the 1300 & 1400 not last week; error?}
1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];
2000 UT Tuesday IRRS SW via AM Italia 1323 and/or 918;
2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
2330 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 6160.

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, Sept 14 at
0518-0526 via E/W loop, quite a good haul, despite storm crashes from
western KS and TX: first, USB tuning upward in 9-kHz steps, 1 kHz
below 9/kHz channels: 603, 684, 711, 774, 801, 837, 855, 891, 909,
999, 1053, 1107-2 beating, 1125, 1305, 1413. 684 much stronger than
the rest, surely Spain, almost enough for some audio; and in second
place, 855.

Then from 0526, LSB tuning upward in 9-kHz steps, 1 kHz above 9/kHz
channels: 531, 549, 576, 585, 603, 684, 774, 801, 837, 855, 891, 981,
999, 1053, 1179?, 1305, 1503. Likely mostly Algeria, Spain, UKOGBANI
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1330 kHz, Sept 14 at 0535-0537 UT, C&W music and many
other times checked dominating channel, never heard any announcements,
let alone ID. Certainly not KNSS Wichita KS, my closest, unless a
drastic format change from News/talk. Most likely KCKM Monahans TX
which is U2 12/1 kW, on ND day power. Also C&W is KPTY Waterloo IA, U4
5/5 kW but with a null thisaway and a deep notch at night presumably
to protect KNSS. KCKM night pattern is pulled in thisaway, presumably
also to protect KNSS, but not a deep notch (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 4915, Sept 14 at 0541, JBA carrier direct, intriguing,
ute? None listed, nor broadcaster now, and unlikely MW harmonic but
IIRC, GHANA used to be here, off SW for years. Mike Cooper just sent
on a story from News Ghana that 763 FM stations are licenced, only 539
broadcasting. Either way, that`s a *lot* for a country so small,
geographically. And *no* MW either (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5025, Sept 13 at 0631, R. Rebelde achieves S9+25, somewhat
undermod but sufficient, rather than JBA carrier or nothing at all
lately (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [non]. 13605, 11930, 11860, Sept 13 at 1535, R. Martí is ON,
even tho it`s Saturday, S9/VG signals into Ft Lauderdale SDR. We had
several reports of it on last night with béisbol, UT Sat Sept 13
between 01 & 04 on 6030, 7335, 7365; but none on when I checked at
0630. Ron Trotto says BB is usually NY Yankees. Tony Pavick heard RM
carrying VOA editorials.

Had been M-F daytimes only. So apparently on the way to finally
resuming full original schedule via Greenville/Grimesland. Good? news
for the VOA site. A25 was in HFCC, with adjacent blox shown separately
rather than continuously:

00-12 6030, 00-10 7335, 00-03 7365, 00-10 7435, 10-14 7335, 10-13

** GERMANY [non]. 7570 S9+20 // 5850, Sept 13 at 0624, English news
about Korea South; 0625 outro as ``Afrika-Link`` on Deutsche Welle,
i.e. what`s now on WRN being relayed by WRMI:

https://www.encompass.tv/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Encompass_WRN_English_For_North-America_A25.pdf
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NEW ZEALAND. 11725, Sept 13 at 0621, RNZI with music, not BBC news
relay, which must be M-F only. Yes, sked now on Sat is RNZ National
relay, which sked in turn shows: ``6:06 PM. Nashville Babylon -- Mark
Rogers offers the very best in Americana, alt country, folk, soul and
blues music (RNZ)``. Weaker than usual but quite sufficient, after
finding absolutely zero signals on the 15 & 13 MHz bands, and on 11
MHz band, nothing else but JBA carriers on 11735, 12095 (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** ROMANIA. 9740, Sept 12 at 2200, RRI opening English with all
platform info including satellite parameters, the SW for W Europe, VG
S9+20/40 into UTwente. Newscaster with a sense of urgency. 2203
transmitter dropout briefly, and again less than a minute later for
longer. Something`s goofy at Galbeni. When on, *much* louder than
Turkey 11785 without changing anything but frequency on UTwente. 2222
some modulation dropouts while carrier stays on - but am not sure
whether a transmitter or receiver problem. 2224 going from `The Future
Starts Today`, to `Practical Guide` about relaxing airport rules. 2228
sports (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.004-, Sept 12 at 2158, VOT not off the air, S9+10/20
into UTwente, IS and ID in English. 2213 next check multi-lingual ID
filler reel, 2216 `Travelog` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. ``Hi Glenn, FYI: Because of the new Bergen output
and a clash with Tony's "Imaginary Stations", we have to shift WOR on
Sundays for the next two months:

2130 UT Sunday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
>>> to >>>
1830 UT Sunday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;

WORLD OF RADIO 2312 monitoring: confirmed Friday September 12 at 2207
the 2200 on WRMI 9955, S9+20 into Knoxville SDR.

Also confirmed Friday September 12 at 2231 on SW Gold Radio, Germany,
3975.002, good into UTwente.

Also confirmed Saturday September 13 at 1454 the 1430 on SW Gold
Radio, Germany, 6160.001-, S9+5/10 into UTwente.

Also confirmed Saturday September 13 at 1600 on all WRN streams.

Also confirmed Saturday September 13 at 1730 on SW Gold Radio,
Germany, 6160.000+ S9/+10 with RTTYditty on plus side; 3975.001 S9/+5
with storm crashes.

Also confirmed Saturday September 13 at 1938 the 1930 on WRN which
WRMI is relaying on 9395! S7/S8 into N9AZZ IL remote. NOT on WRMI`s
System C for months despite scheduling at same time, webstream
something else while 9955 is not on air. Is that clear?

[So we need to confirm whether WOR is also appearing on WRMI at any of
the other scheduled WRN relay times: Sat 1600 on 9395 7730; UT Sun &
Mon 0130 on 7780 9455; Sun 1030 on 5800 5950 7730 9395 9455 9955?]

Not confirmed at 1939 Sat Sept 13 the 1930v on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, as
something else is JBA into N9AZZ IL remote. But by 1946 UT I can hear
myself in progress vs heavy noise. By 2004 quite readable at 23
minutes into so started about 1941. Two SDRs much closer to St Louis
cannot get it at all in daytime. Next:

2100 UT Saturday WRMI 9395 to NNW [but not Sept 6];
2230 UT Saturday WRMI 15770 to NE [but not Sept 6];
2300 UT Saturday WTWW 9475 [suspended];

12.8 kHz below 5920 WTWW with TOMBS which is S9+35/40. Match on 5932.8
cannot be extracted from huge 5935 WWCR QRM (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. Pre-`AAAWWW` chex of WBCQ, Sept 12 at 2355 into NH SDR:
3265+, 5130-, 9330 all OFF, 6160 with weak China; only 7490- on at
S9+25. 2359, One-minute tone warning FKB to wrap it up, and 9330 back
on with WLCR IS briefly; Sept 13 at 0000, now both 9330 and 7490 with
disclaimer that following aired originally on May 30, 2025. Never
mind: I reported that when it was new, q.v. Opening exclamation was
``Let`s get flushin```. In fact it`s already repeated *twice*, July 5
and August 2 UT. What`s old? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

disclaimer on mywriting
https://linktr.ee/zliangas all my pages

From now and for an unknown time, at least for 3years, I will not use any radio except the remote SDRs for DXing. Recently wemoved from the village back to the city in a space that prohibits the use ofdesktop DXing, a place flooded by high levels of noise in the LMHF bands. Theradio is now used mostly for FM, for news listening.we run politically livelycondition with always very interesting twits every day ..
