DX/SWL/MEDIA PROGRAMS B25

There was a delay in uploading the new edition. Try again, refresh if
you did not see it dated November 2 yet:
http://www.worldofradio.com/dxpgms.html

** CUBA. 13780, Sun Nov 2 just as I tune in via Maryland remote this
RHC cuts off air at 1557* not to return. 15230 is S7/S9 and suptorted
but understandable. 15140 is S7/S9 marred by usual squeal. 11760 is
best audible tho only S7. 1601 IS and frequencies for RHC on FM in
western Cuba. 1602 start weekly Esperanto, why I am listening to
confirm an hour later than in summer, as a Running Dog of Yankee
Imperialism, Habana has now reset clox to EST instead of EDT, just
like in Little Havana. At 1925 recheck, only 11760 is still on, in
Arabic, which a year ago per WRTH 2025 was scheduled Sundays only at
1900-1930 on 15140. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA [non]. 15380, 13820, 11930, 11860, Nov 2 at 1945, NO signals
from R. Martí, Grimesland, into Maryland SDR, taking this Sunday
[only?] off. Something`s wrong at USAGM/OCB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9660.003+, Sun Nov 2 at 1746, VOT English, S9+10/20 into
UTwente with `Letterbox`: ``from Canada, India, Malaysia and beyond``:
1) Miss Leila? Ball?, where? listens via UTwente. Wants QSL ``card``
by email, available? Yes {but they are images, not cards!} 2) Jayanta
Chakroborty, New Delhi. Was not heearing 6165 and 7275 at 03 --
because B25 changed them! Second report from him says 7285 is not as
good as 7275 was {this does not make sense: in A25, 7275 was aimed
oppositely to N America, but in B25, 7285 is aimed at S Asia! Cemre
never observes he doesn`t listen or report on the 6 MHz //, was 6165,
now 6125 to NAm an hour later at 04}. 3) Mohammed Hassein??, Malaysia.
4) Siddartha Papajanji?, India. Is International Day for Eradication
of Poverty, 17 October, observed in Turkey, and what is the poverty
rate? Rate fluxuates, yes, it is. {What does ``observed`` mean? I bet
if you surveyed 100 Turx on the street, especially poor ones, they
would all ask, what??} 5) Allan Willie, Canada, sends another batch of
100! reception reports at once covering four? languages {fortunately,
he does not ask for 100 QSLs...} 6) Mr Chris --?, Port Alberni [BC],
Canada, listens via W3HFU remote in Maryland. 7) Jamahar Almeida, Goa.
1804 ending, 1805 theme (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL [and non]. 28475 USB, Oct 31 at 2218, PU2KNM calling CQ DX,

** CUBA. 15230, Nov 1 at 2238, RHC S9/+10 in suptorted Spanish, //
13780 not distorted. SAWA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHILE. 28375 USB, Nov 1 at 2242, CE3PCU calling CQDX in English;

CE2PCU at QRZ.com: ``CE3PCU Chile flag Chile, Marco Antonio Saez
Palma, foresta oriente 11940 c 8, santiago chile, Chile`` (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ITALY. 1322.995+ kHz, Friday Oct 31 at 2030, IRRS via AM Italia,
S8.6 into UTwente across Europe, not WORLD OF RADIO as I forgot to
shift it one UT hour later already on my sked, but `Counterspin` in
progress until 2054. This an excellent program from USA, yet appears
nowhere on the IRRS schedule any day of the week; rather now, ``news
and features from our studio``, which means we can`t depend on it,
just another filler. https://fair.org/counterspin/
At 2100 into `Wavescan` as scheduled (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 5960.002+, Oct 31 at 2315, VOT not off the air, S9+20/30

** U S A. 420 MCW kHz, Nov 1 at 0658 UT, NDB TU, copied best when
tuned to 419 USB. 25 watts from `Veron`, TUpelo MS (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2319 monitoring: confirmed Friday

UTwente across Europe.

Also confirmed Friday October 31 at 2200 on WRMI 9955, S7/9+10 into

2401 November 1.

Also confirmed UT Saturday November 1 at 0300 on WTWW, 5085, S9/+20

Knoxville SDR. From next week this should be at 1630.

Also confirmed Saturday November 1 at 1700 on WRN North America
stream, ex-1600 UT already, and confirmed still also via WRMI 9395
S9+10 and 7730 JBA into Knoxville SDR. Rough start at 1700 a few words
opening `Encore`, pause and then WOR.

Also confirmed Saturday November 1 at 1830 on SW Gold Radio, Germany,
3975.002+, S8/9+5 into UTwente, while 6160 has been forced off the air
by CRI occupying it with pointless fill music.

Also confirmed Saturday November 1 ending at 2004 UT on WA0RCR, 1860
AM, MO, JBA into N9AZZ IL remote, so started circa 1935. From next
week: 2030v

Also confirmed Saturday November 1 at 2030 on WRN via WRMI 9395, fair
into N9AZZ IL remote.

Also confirmed Saturday November 1 at 2100 on WRMI 9395, S9/+10 into

** U S A. 9930, Oct 31 at 2041, still deadair from WTWW. I notified
George and he replied that it`s not a transmitter problem this time,
but failure of the ``data line``, i.e. program feed from Bob Biermann,
also affecting the other transmitter which might prevent WOR at 0300
UT Sat on 5085. Not clear to me why leave transmitter on with dead air
for hours and hours; maybe hopeful feed will pop back on at any
second. By next check 2329, TOMBS is back on 9930, moanin` & groanin`
hour. At 0105 Nov 1, 5085 is also on, but modulation extremely
distorted. He says that`s fixed by 0117 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. (7490), Nov 1 at 0000 UT, WBCQ stream, not even trying SW
this time, for `AAAWWW`; first interjexion in WTO theme is
``cookies``, and last one is ``60``?, segué to ``Monster Mash``. 0011
Jason is on phone, in charge of R. Angela, which will start at 0100 UT
Sat with a Hallowe`en show, thence 24/7 on 6160. He used to do a `Rock
Waves` show once a week, and will rerun archives of that on Friday
nights renamed ``High Voltage``. Most programming will be at *random*
times, only a few scheduled shows. Damian, a new hire, who runs a
store somewhere in Caribou, ``Mudroom Records`` will do a show by that
name? in about two weeks. Jason has picked out 1600! one-hour shows
from the BCQ archive to play. Would-be programmers may contact him,
Jason Hill, P O Box 344, Monticello ME 04760. Will avoid poltix &
religion, rather music and entertainment. And only on analog SW 6160,
NO streaming, tho welcome to listen via remote SDRs somewhere on the
east coast. 0037 Allan says now on 9330, 7490, 6160, 5130; but not
3265 because no one but him knows how to turn it on (and he`s in
Florida now); it has no remote control. Also on laser into space, and
gives nanometer wavelength, but I missed it! Assures us this is live
as of 10/31/25. 0038 into music. At 0050 I bring up 6160 -75 Hz =
6159.925, S7/S9 into NH SDR, a lot weaker than the others including
5130-. Hey, I`m too busy to listen for random programming! Need to
know when to hear what I may be interested in. The 6160 sked still
shows mostly Hal Turner, which has been canceled:
http://wbcq.com/schedule/index.php?fn=sked&freq=6160

At 0100, 6160 starts Radio Angela, with scary organ music. Harold in
spooky voice introduces HW sounds and stories. I haven`t tried to
listen since (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9395, Sat Nov 1 at 1600, WRN relay via WRMI starting KBS
World Radio. WRN still has not put up a B25 schedule, and this is not
merely a one-hour-later shift as the A25 sked does not show KBS at
1500 Sat, rather DW. But at 1530 R. Prague was on, rather than 1430.
This is the sked you get for NAm, despite being labeled Africa & Asia
Pacific, but we thought the services had axually been merged:

https://www.encompass.tv/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Encompass_WRN_English_For_North-America_A25.pdf
Here is the page linking to skeds, surely eventually leading to B25s:

https://www.encompass.tv/solutions/radio/world-radio-network/network-schedules/
Whether or not WRMI be relaying parts of this is another matter (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 17525, Oct 31 at 2228, WMLK has DEJOM about to sign off with
postal address, lofi audio with hum, S9+30 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1550.3, Nov 1 at 0700 UT, again mystery off-frequency
carrier hetting 1550.0 stations (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9930, Oct 31 at 1913, TOMBS air is dead on only S7/S9 direct

also underpowered? Something`s lifeless in Lebanon (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 17525, Oct 31 at 1757, WMLK reactivated, DEJOM preaching, no

AZ. Still at 1906 S9/+10 direct (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 341 MCW kHz, Oct 31 at 0652 UT, two JBA NDB stations
mixing. One very likely DNI, 25 watts at Sherman/DeNIson TX, almost in
OK. The other used to be OIN, 25 watts at Oberlin KS, both of which
would vie with JBA local EI, Enid, which has been OFF for a few years.
All of these still appear at dxinfocentre.com/ndb.htm, but only DNI in
the RNA list. It shows 5 others in conterminous USA still active and
one far Canadian (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
