2057 check, 9635 is off already; 6079.962 with lots of applause, no
ID, and 2100 into Korean: nothing so scheduled in Aoki & EiBi, but

on both sides, worst 9965-9995, but detectable next to 9955 WRMI. Is
same #4 transmitter dedicated to TOMBs as on 5890 later as I have
already complained.

BUT, 9910-9950 spews similar sounds from WTWW-1 9930. Both of course
much stronger here than squeezed WRMI. It seems quite clear that the
problem is in the modulation of the program feed from Walterboro.
Stations need to find some way to filter all those squeals and

** CANADA. 328 MCW kHz, Dec 22 at 0748 UT, dash and YTL, 1000 watt NDB
at Big Trout Lake, Ont. I`m copying it on 329 USB, which I thought was
its frequency (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 1040, Dec 22 at 0224, wobbler is JBA under WHO and
Florida. Not heard on 870 this time (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** GERMANY. Uncle Bill Tilford replies to my last report about no
reception of `Melting Pot`, Dec 21 at 0400 on 9670: ``I did get an
accurate, detailed reception report from a listener in Uruguay using a
remote websdr in North Carolina, but yeah, this has performed poorly
two weeks in a row. Whether seasonal propagation or something at the
transmitter, no sense in keeping the 0400 broadcast. Even when the
signal is better it wrestles with the Brazilian evangelists on 9665,
so that was the last transmission at 0400.``

So I try the next play: At 1800 am getting 9670 fairly well via
UTwente, despite proximity to Channel 292, but deep fades - not much
at SDRs in Russia, Cyprus, Romania, etc. And nothing on two SDRs in
India, despite S Asian `target`. And then by 1814 fades down and
almost out at UTwente. Try Ireland, even tho in wrong direxion. I`m
getting it fairly now on one of those, vs some noise. That too loses
out by around 1840.

One more chance, 2200 on 6070 and 3955. 6070 is no good into UTwente,
but 3955 is S9+5/15, no QRM and holds up so I hear the whole show.

While I am all for programming to be on Shortwave, primarily, it`s too
bad if there be no backup/alternative allowed for those who really
want to hear it, such as webcast, even on-demand (Glenn Hauser, OK,

** MALI. 5995, Dec 22 at 0759, JBA signal, presumed R Mali remnant; I
stay on it watching the watch for it to cut off, which it does at
0800:44*. Then I switch to 9635 and wait for it to cut on, which it

frequencies have been changed recently. All services are affected
except Serbian, Italian, Ukrainian and Aromanian``

John A. Figliozzi says, ``Romanian has moved to 7250 kHz. This is not
currently noted on the rri.ro website as far as I can tell.
Parenthetically, weekends especially relay music  programs from the
domestic Radio Romania Muzical. Currently, at 0204, there’s a
classical music concert in progress. RRI’s transmitters are top notch
and put a very strong signal into at least Eastern NA from both their
NA and EU services. 0500-0557 the Romanian language program relays the
morning program from the domestic Radio Romania Actualitati on 7220
kHz that includes many pop music selections.``

Ricky Leong, Calgary, Alberta, Canada: ``In EE at 0400 UTC, they are
using both 7410 kHz (registered in HFCC but not in use until now in
B24) and 9510 (registered frequency and regularly in use so far during
B24). First noticed this yesterday and it seems to be happening again
